As my character walks along the prime path, I idly talk to my chat. "So, I think today I'm just gonna mine or something like that, nothing big."

Bingus: Yesss take over >:)
HeyoQ: Chill stream?
Yeah_its_me: POG

"Yeah, I'm doing a chill stream today," I pause as I read other messages. "To take over?" I read, laughing a little. "Yes! I shall take over this SMP! Y/S/N SMP let's goooo!" I joke, raising my fist and shaking it.

While distracted, I didn't notice a certain blond character approaching me.

BingleBangle: Uh oh

I read the chat with confusion, before paying attention to the character staring at mine. "Oh." I mumble, quickly typing in the in-game chat.

Y/M/U: Vc?

I join a Vc in Discord and wait for him to join.

"Hello woman!" Tommy greets and I burst out laughing. "I'm not technically a woman yet, Tommy." I correct wagging my finger at the camera. "What are you then?" He asks and I realise I hadn't prepared an answer for that. "Uhhh... a teenager?"

"Wait how old are you?"

"16."

Tommy's quiet after that and it makes me a bit nervous. "Tommy?" I call, waiting for his answer. "You're younger than I thought you were." He says, a weird tone taking over his voice. "Am I? How old did you think I was?" I ask, furrowing my eyebrows and looking into my camera to silently communicate with my chat.

"Like 18 or something, I don't know."

"18? Me? Wow."

"Shut up!"

"I didn't say anything wrong!"

I narrow my eyes and pout my lips at the interaction. "Anyway.. what's up? Why were you staring at me?" I ask, willing the conversation to change. "Oh, uh... I don't know, just saw you standing." He answers quickly. "Are you streaming? Were you making fun of me?!" I gasp and he stammers out a quick "no I wasn't!". I clutch my heart and make a shocked face. "You were!" I announce and he stutters out another defence.

Half an hour later...

"Tommy!" I squeal, and his character turns around. "What?" He asks too late as I fall through the spiderweb and into the lava below.

Y/M/U tried to swim in lava

Tommy starts laughing at me and I groan at the loss of my items. "I can't believe that happened!" I complain, quickly making my way over to the spot of my death. "Did anything survive?" I ask and Tommy says no.

I fake cry, and Tommy laughs at my loss of inventory. "Tommy laugh at me again and I'll push you in." I snap, and he just laughs harder.

"Ok, I won't push you in if you give me stuff." I say, and he hums thoughtfully. "Ok!"

He gave me some food, a bit of iron armour and a few blocks. "Cheap." I tease and he gasps. "How dare you! I was kind enough to give you charity and you complain?! You woman, so disrespectful." He rants and I chuckle at his sudden outburst.

"Seriously though, thank you for the stuff." I say and he falls quiet for a few beats, before rambling on about how generous he is and how I should be more grateful.

I ignore all of the messages about shipping me and Tommy and laugh and talk a little about the 'charity pog' message.

About an hour later...

"Well, Tommy it was nice talking to you today." I say, smiling to myself. "Yeah." He replies. "I'm gonna log I think, so bye!"

"Bye!"

I quickly say goodbye to chat and end the stream.

I sigh, and lean back in my chair. That was a good stream. Tommy was nice. Chat certainly made it awkward though. As it turns out, Tommy's chat thought we'd be a good ship as well. It added to the awkwardness.

Suddenly, my discord pops up with a new message.

TommyInnit: Hi

Me: Hi

TommyInnit: Wanna ft with me and Tubbo?

I furrow my eyebrows at the inclusion of 'and Tubbo' but shake it off. Tubbo is Tommy's best friend, of course they'd FaceTime a lot.

TommyInnit: Tubbo doesn't have to be there tho

I stare at the screen in surprise before typing my answer.

Me: Sounds good :)

I then quickly type a follow up message.

Me: I might just steal you from Tubbo ;)

TommyInnit: Oh no he won't like that
TommyInnit: He's clingy, you know?

I laugh at his response then click the 'video call' button. Tommy answers and greets me with a small smile. It was awkward at first, but after a short while, conversation picked up.

Me and Tommy talked for hours on end, before finally ending call, due to my parents telling me to go to bed. "Well, Tommy. That's me! Gotta go, but I'll talk to you soon?" I say and he nods with a hum of confirmation.

After the call ends, I go to bed, thinking about the whole situation. It wouldn't be a bad thing to like Tommy... chat certainly though it wasn't.

I try to clear my mind of those thoughts, but it kept gnawing away at my mind.

Could it work? Would he want it to?

I guess I'd have to wait to find out.
