America's pov
☆•°☆°•☆

I sighed and looked at the raven at my feet, starting up at me. Pine cooed and cocked his head. "I'm fine, you?" I asked the bird. The large bird hopped up and down and nodded his head. "Good, why did you come here?" I asked the rather smart bird. Pine hopped side to side before flying to his wooden perch in the living room and started to groom himself.

You talk to a bird and expect an answer. You sir are a different type of dumb ass.

I rolled my eyes and luckily a knock sounded from my front door, interrupting whatever my jackass nonextant "brother" or past self, or whatever the hell Confederacy is, was gonna say. I walked over and opened the door revealing Poland.

"Oh, hey America!" He cheerfully greeted me.
"Hello Poland, how are you?" I politely asked.
"I'm doing very well, thank you. Are you okay? Pine was a little frantic to get in your house," the shorter country fussed.
"Oh yeah, I'm fine. China slipped and fell on me, but I'm good. Thank you for checking on me," I calmly spoke.
"Are you sure? Because you are kind bleeding through your shirt," Poland's voice got higher as he spoke.
I looked down at my stomach. Sure enough, China busted open my freshly healed wound. I cussed under my breath and looked at the slightly intimated male.

You have the worst luck I've ever seen.

"Could you fetch Russia please?" I asked him.
"He's out hunting with Canada right now. I can help if you need it," he shyly spoke.
I nodded my head and gestured for him to come inside.
I unbuttoned the tight shirt Ukraine had loaned me and examined the injury.
"Should I go to the healing place, or get Belarus?" I questioned. Poland shook his head.
"No, it looks like a minor issue that could be solved with disinfectant and some bandages. I'll just send Pine to get Russia so it'll seal back up," he answered me.
The small red and white country looked at the bird that was already intensely staring back. Poland waved his hand towards the window to shoo the raven away. Pine walked as elegantly as a bird could to the counter before taking flight and flying through the window above the sink.

"I thought Russia was more of a pet bear type guy, not a pet bird," I gawked. I was honestly surprised when he told me he had a raven. I thought he was joking, then he pointed out the driftwood perch that he made for his bird and summoned the big black bird with a whistle.
Poland chuckled at what I said.
"I know. It's surprising that he hasn't eaten that bird for a snack," he joked. We both shared a little laugh.

Once Poland got all of the medical supplies from the first aid kit he started to clean my wound. Whenever I would get slightly uncomfortable or tense he would profusely apologize and wouldn't continue unless I requested him to.
After he was finished he threw the unsanitary items away and washed his hands thoroughly.
"Thank you," I sincerely said.
"You're welcome. I'm sorry if I hurt you," the smaller country apologized once again.
"You were doing your job that I asked you to do, there's no reason to be sorry." I shrugged on my shirt carefully.

"I just don't want to cause you any more harm. I know what it's like... there," he mumbled. His amber eyes avoided my gaze. I felt my shoulders slump.
"There's always going to be pain, no matter where you go. But this little scratch is nothing compared to what they did to me. They tried to break us down by making us feel miserable in every way. But here. We still can get hurt, but people try to heal each other and for that, I'm endlessly grateful," I solemnly said as I stood up. Poland nodded and looked off to the side.
"Yeah, those sorry excuses for people tried to tear us apart, quite literally in my case," he rushed the last part. "But here, we build each other up. We help each other get through the pain," the smaller country's voice was prideful and strong for once. I nodded and smiled at him.
"Well if I were you, I'd take a shower before Russia comes to wash off the other alpha's scent," Poland recommended. I cocked my head, "Why?"
"So he doesn't get all jealous and or get a headache because another alpha's scent is known to cause headaches," the amber-eyed male stated.
"Thank you for the advice. You should go before my mate busts open that door, thinking I'm close to death," I joked a little, although I wouldn't put it past Russia to do that. Poland chuckled and said, "You're welcome." And went to the large, elegant door. He opened it and a large burly man fell face-first on the polished floor.

Russia picked himself off the floor. "Are you okay?" he panted out. His forehead had sweat beads plastered all over.
"Did you run here?" I asked.
Russia continued to catch his breath while he nodded.
"You didn't have to do that, I'm fine," I claimed. Russia shook his head in disagreement.
"You are hurt," he stubbornly said.
"Poland took care of it. I'm fine. I just need you to seal it back up," I spoke matter-of-factly. Russia let out a disappointed groan but came to my side anyways. Poland awkwardly moved out of the way and out the door.

"What happened." The large man had finally caught his breath.
"China slipped and fell on top of me and it opened up my cat scratch a little," I confessed.

Getting mauled by a cougar isn't a "cat scratch."

Russia's eyes twitched a little at China's name.
"He didn't mean any harm or to get intimate if that's your concern," I defended China. Russia stayed silent, but took my arm and started walking toward our room. He sat me down on the blanket-covered bed.

"Take off your shirt, please," he looked off to the side and I noticed a slight pink tint in his cheeks as he said it. I did as he said and removed my shirt. My mate took off the bandages and looked at the small wound on my stomach.
"See? It's not that bad, just do whatever and it'll get better no matter what," I fussed a little.
Russia expected my cut, but couldn't get a good look at it due to his height.
He dropped to his knees so he was eye to eye with my wound.
My eyes widened as he knelt down between my legs. Russia took his time studying the wound. Sometimes his eyes would wonder but quickly focused back on the issue.
Russia cleared his throat before speaking. "I think the closest way to heal it is to seal it up like a letter," his voice was lighter and softer, unlike his usual thunderous voice.

Excuse me-

"Please stop if you feel uncomfortable at any point, or if there's a spike in pain okay?" He calmly said while casually rubbing circles on my hips with his thumbs. I looked off to the side and nodded as insecurities began to climb into my mind.
The feel of my mate's tongue lapping over sensitive scars washed away my thoughts as my breath hitched. He stopped looked up at me to make sure I wasn't in any pain before he continued. He cleaned the wound and sure enough, it was fully healed as if nothing happened. He placed a delicate kiss on the wound he had just healed before deciding to move on to an old scar of mine. Before I know it, I was on my back panting as Russia kissed and nipped at my neck. I patted his shoulder and he reluctantly stopped and unhinged himself from my neck. I pecked him on the lips and quickly flipped us over so I was straddling him. Russia had a look of surprise painted on his face.

"Now if you don't want me to mark you, say something," I confidently said. Russia's eyes widened in surprise and excitement but remained silent. I smirked and went down to his neck to search out his sweet spot. Once I hit it, I bit it. His blood filled my mouth as I quickly licked off the blood on his neck.
Energy filled me as I continued kissing my mate's mark. A large hand held me against Russia as we went to our sides. Russia looked deeply into my eyes and I looked back into his. Eventually, he leaned down and gave me a calm, loving kiss, which I happily returned.

"I love you," he mumbled as he held me closer.
"I love you too, fluff ball."

School started, and it's the hottest week in the summer and 1/2 together my school doesn't have ac, so we got 1/2 days.
And
I've been working on this book for over a year now.
And
I'm pretty sure this is the longest chapter I've written.
