Enough- Erik's POV

"Ooo..." Carter antagonized. "He got you there, fool."

"I hate every single one of you," Chris said childishly.

My reply was cut off when I heard honking coming from down the street. That was weird because practically everyone in the neighborhood that was home was at the party or they knew that we had a block party every year and that this street was in use and closed to cars.

"Nah..." I said in disbelief.

"Ah fuck," Chris winced as we watched the dark colored SUV drive through the street.

"Who's-? T... Damn," Kat put it together quite quickly as I stiffened up and put an arm around her protectively.

The whole block seemed to quiet down as T and Ron exited the vehicle. T sauntered up our driveway while smirking the whole way.

"It seems our invitation got lost," he said loudly towards my mother.

"Nope, you ain't invited," my mom replied with a dirty look towards the man and continued to lay out food.

"That's pretty bold of you to say considering that I haven't gotten my fees this month yet. I think that I'll just take the whole turkey, the ham, mmm them greens look real good too. I need my two hundred, Trina."

My head snapped up at those words and I marched forward, letting go of Kat as I did. My mom's eyes met mine with confusion as I stopped in front of him. "You said-"

"I don't remember saying shit. Do you remember me saying anything, Ron?" T asked.

I knew that it was punishment for leaving the party early that day, but I had to. There was no choice in the situation. Now I was being punished for helping my girl... This was some bullshit.

"Nah... You didn't say anything about nothing," he answered.

I was so pissed. He knew that I had given the two hundred dollars that I had tried to give to him for his fees to my mom so she could buy stuff for Thanksgiving. Hell, the man had even told me to give it to her so she could buy Thanksgiving groceries with it. Now, he was being a dick just because he knew that he could. It was so messed up.

Just as I was getting ready to punch the man in the face for being a prick, Kat stepped in between us. Her back was to me, but her body was pressed all the way against me, probably to keep as far away from T as possible. My arm instinctively went around her waist. I wanted to snatch her away and throw her behind me. Men like T shouldn't even get to look at my Kat. However, not only would T be pissed if I did something like that, but Kat would also be absolutely livid. Still, her stepping in between us was idiotic and stupid. It took everything in me to not go off the deep end.

"Here," she said. She held out the plate of empanadas that she had brought with her. On top of the saran wrap that was over the top of the desserts, were two hundred dollar bills laying there for him.

"Ah, little Snow Bunny," T said with a smirk. "Where'd you get the money?" He asked after her took the plate from her.

"Where'd you get yours?" She replied cryptically in a sweet voice. I knew that voice though... It was her 'fuck off' voice that she used on people that annoyed her.

T threw his head back and laughed hysterically. "Ooo... I like her," T said after he got done laughing. "You've gotta bring her to the party tonight. You are going to be there, right?"

I knew by his tone that I had no choice. "For sure, man," I replied.

"Be sure to bring your little snow bunny," he reminded. That was also not an optional thing. "Have a nice little holiday, Trina. Next time, I really hope to get your invite."
