5 || Electrifying blue eyes

Start from the beginning

It was massive, a normal grey wolf would be over six foot but this... it was over seven feet tall, maybe half a foot more. Again, I was struck by its eyes, it looked at me without the ignorance of an animal and my brain froze.

This isn't a wolf.

It's a werewolf.

I have heard a lot of stories from hunters and adventurers, each of them has a twist in their experience of meeting wolves or what they've heard from others but the one thread was how dangerous a werewolf is.

Werewolves.

Even though I believed in werewolves, how they shift from human and to their natural form, werewolves, it's still far-fetched to say that I have gathered any curiosity and courage to face one of them.

"S-Selene" I can feel the fear running through her body, even though I was still like a log, I could feel my heart beating unbelievably fast as I tried to gain my sanity.

"Stay that way and slowly move back" I guided her as we walk to the stairs, she was looking at the front while I looked in the back, I need to see if this wolf - I mean werewolf will tear us to pieces. "Guide me Everlyn" I whisper to her softly, her tears fell on my hand as I struggled to regain my composure.

This mythical creature was still staring at me, its eyes devoid of any emotion nor the lack of innocence to the human world as we stepped backward with slow, taxing movements.

It must have been thirty minutes until we reach the cabin, I didn't see any shadow of that creature and I almost fall on a sigh of relief.

My heart was still beating furiously against my chest as I held Everlyn and steadied her to the front porch.

"I'm sorry... hic... I don't want t-to to go to the w... woods again. Scary, it's too scary" she stumbled on her sentence as I sat there with a grim expression, numb from the fear I couldn't speak.

Fortunately, we were seen by their fogs and it alerted the elderly couple who came outside of their house to see two grief-stricken teenagers on their porch. We were hurriedly taken inside the warm comforts of their home, their couch soft to the touch as we leaned in together, trying to make sense of what happened moments ago.

My heart was still shaken, my hands were still locked into everlyn's hands as we comfort each other.

"Are you alright dear?" I looked at the visible concern in the old woman's eyes and nodded at her dumbly.

She offered me a cup of tea and I greedily drank it, cushioning the empty stomach that has been calling out for food an hour ago. After we managed to get ourselves controlled and warm, I look into my phone and sighed in relief after seeing the signal finally appearing.

"Hello"

"Selene? Oh, how is the party?" I cringe at his last words and decided to lie, it's not my fault that I didn't know where we went off to and that my best friend lied to me.

"Yeah, it was uh great! Um... could you drive us back home, pretty please daddy?" I didn't want to impose on the two kind-hearted elders here, they must have been already sleeping when we barge in their home.

"Yeah, I could, I'll get backing you in a moment," I told him the address, dressed the wound on Everlyn's foot, and went to the living room to thank the two elderly couple.

"Thank you so much for having us here um... my father would be here in five minutes at most"

"Oh it's fine, some teenagers have also come here lost and we welcome them" she warmly said, after that, we waited in the living room having small talks till I heard my father's car outside.

I pushed the door open and welcomed him in, he thanked the two elders after I explained that we got our tires broken to explain how we walked her for thirty minutes.

After getting inside the car, I immediately fall asleep, seeing those electrifying blue eyes once more.
