Cedric and Anala walked side by side, their arms interlocked as they walked through Diagon alley on Boxing Day morning.
A fresh sheet of snow crunched underneath their feet as they walked.

Gentle flakes fluttered down from the sky and landed in Cedrics hair, melting and making his hair become a little wet, a singular strand dangling over his forehead.

"Are you sure you don't want my hat?" Anala asked looking up to him concerned, "it's cold and I don't want you to become ill and-"

Cedric came to a stop, walking infront of Anala and placing his hands on both of her arms giving them a squeeze.

"I'm fine" he laughed, "I'll be alright"

"But your hands must be freezing!" Anala said looking to his hands that held her arms

"Nala, stop worrying" he laughed

Anala rolled her eyes, taking his hands in hers and rubbing them gently to stimulate some warmth, "shut up and let me help you"

Cedric shook his head smiling as Anala clasped his hands in hers.

"Can we head to flourish and blotts?" She asked still warming Cedrics hands, "I said that I'd get Susan a few things"

"Of course" he replied taking one of her hands and bringing it down to their sides before carrying on walking down the streets.

Flourish and Blotts had isles upon isles of books lining the room and the warm air warmed Anala's skin.

She scaled the Potions isles and searched for the books Susan had requested.

Finding several the books she'd requested she met Cedric outside the shop after paying, "did you get everything you needed?" He asked looking to her bag full of book

"Yes, I'm pretty sure" she replied, hauling it onto her shoulder

"I've got it" Cedric said gently taking the bag out of her hands, him carrying it.

"Are you sure?"

"Of course" he waved, "how about we go to Fortescues?"

"Ice cream?" Anala laughed, "it's freezing"

"You can eat ice cream in any weather Nala" Cedric smiled, linking their arms as they started to make their way down the snow covered cobbled street.

"So let me get this straight- Your cousin is a metamorphagus and while she was at school she used to transform into Dumbledore and scare all the Professors?" Cedric laughed as he spooned some more Ice cream in his mouth

"Yep" Anala laughed, "but she's really more like my sister. You should of seen my Aunts face when she got caught and Professor Sprout sent a letter home. I was only little but I can still remember the look of pure horror on her face"

"I wish I could've witnessed it" Cedric laughed

"What I wouldn't give to be a metamorphagus" Anala sighed smiling at all the times Tonks had changed her appearance into funny characteristics.

"Oh! I almost forgot!" Cedric said pulling out a present and placing it down on the table, "Merry Christmas Nala" he smiled

Before her on the table laid a neatly presented present, it seemed to be of well taken care of, as the person who'd of wrapped it cared that it looked neat and pretty, a top of it, a red bow.

"You didn't have to" Anala said glancing up to his face

"I wanted to" he smiled warmly, taking her hand from across the table and giving it a quick squeeze.

"That reminds me actually" Anala said, reaching down to her bag and pulling out another Christmas present and placing it on the table, "merry Christmas" she smiled pushing it forwards

Cedric rolled his eyes and pushed it back to her, "I don't want you to spend money on me" he waved

"Oh shut up and take it" Anala huffed, pushing it back across to him, "go on, open it"

Anala had gotten Cedric all sorts of new Quidditch supplies, from new robes, to broom polish, to a new golden fluttering snitch, "I know you really wanted to win the Quidditch cup before you leave School so I thought I'd get you some new equipment, y'know, as a get starter. I can tell, it's gonna be our year Ced" she beamed

Cedric didn't say anything but leaned over the table and pulled Anala into his chest hugging her tightly, squeezing her gently. Her hair tickled his face as he rested his head on her shoulder, "thank you Nala, I'll put it to good use as soon as we get back to Hogwarts" he pulled back placing a quick kiss to her cheeks making her already pink face flush a deep red

"You're welcome" she mumbled trying to hide her red complexion

"Go on, open your's" he said happily, gesturing to the neatly ripped present.

Anala shook her head at Cedrics wide smile before tearing off the paper.

Inside was a pair of beautiful reading glasses. It's golden frames thin and delicate, holding oval lenses within them. On the arms, engraved writing, C.D.

"I noticed that you broke your reading glasses a few months ago and I thought you'd need some new ones" he said looked at her apprehensively, "it's okay if you don't like them-"

"No, I love them" Anala whispered studying them more. Roses, vines and ivy were carved into the gold thin metal of the frames and arms along with the initials, "C.D" she stated with a smirk

Cedric's cheeks seemed to flush a little bit, "I'm sorry about that, the maker wanted a name and they must of thought they were for me and-"

"No no!" Anala rushed, "I like it, it's cute"

Cedric only seemed to smile more, his cheeks wrinkling and dimples showed as he beamed in pure relief.
