Due to your crazy work schedule today you were unable to attend Jordan’s game tonight.  He understood but it still upset you that you weren’t able to go and cheer him on.  When you got home you immediately put the game on.  It was halfway through the third period and the Wolves were losing 4-2.  As if the broadcasters knew you were thinking about the goal, all six goal highlights were shown.  All four that Jordan let in, you knew he could’ve stopped and that he’d be upset about it.

You got up and decided to make his favorite post game meal.  You were so focused on making the food that you didn’t notice Jordan got home until he wrapped his arms around your waist.  You turned around to look at him, putting your hands on his biceps.

"Hi baby." You said, leaning up to kiss his lips.

"What are you doing?" Jordan asked.

"Well, I saw part of the game and figured you’d need some cheering up so I’m making your favorite meal and thought we could cuddle up on the couch and watch movies."

"You’re too good for me." Jordan said moving to the fridge to get out a Gatorade.

You finished dinner and pulled out the cookies you had been baking.  Conversation at dinner was slow, Jordan didn’t really say anything and you didn’t wanna say anything for the fear of upsetting him.

After you both finished eating you got up to clear the plates and Jordan went into the living room to pick out a movie.  You started to sit down on the other side of the couch when Jordan got up and pulled you into his lap.

"What, do I have cooties or something?" He asked, grabbing a blanket to put around you two.

"No, I just didn’t know if you wanted some space." You said snuggling into him.

"I’d never want space from you." Jordan said kissing your forehead.

You two cuddled and shared laughs while watching movies until you feel asleep on the couch in each other’s arms.  Jordan’s loss was simply forgotten.
