You were at the Canucks annual Christmas party with your husband, Kevin, mingling with the other players and their spouses. You were in the kitchen talking to Nancy Burrows and Sarah Hamhuis, while Kevin was in the living room talking to a bunch of teammates. You were having a really good time talking to the girls and just relaxing. You and girls found it starting to get really hot so you decided to go outside. Kevin saw you girls leaving and you looked at him and mouthed “outside”. He smiled at you and nodded his head and went back talking to the boys. It was nice and quiet outside, so it was a nice refresher from being inside the hot, stuffy house. You guys probably sat outside for about 20 minutes before you decided it was getting a little chilly out.
You went back inside the house to see that the boys had from their earlier sitting place. You three decided to split up to find your husbands and thankfully Kevin wasn’t too hard to find. You saw he had moved to the kitchen talking to David Booth and Jason Garrison. You saw that he was into a deep conversation with David, so you decided to talk to Jason until he was done. Jason was probably one of the funniest guys you had talked to, for the whole time you guys had talked he made you laugh with stories about the guys or telling really stupid jokes. You were so busy laughing and talking to Jason, you didn’t realize that Kevin had finished his conversation with David and had stormed out of the kitchen.
You finished your conversation with Jason and decided to go find your husband again. When you did find him he was back in the living room talking to the guys. You noticed that there was a spot next to him on the couch, so you went and sat there. You looked at Kevin smiling but he didn’t even acknowledge that you were there. You thought that was weird so you went to hold his hand, but he shrugged you off. Nancy looked at you and mouthed “What’s up with Kevin?” and you replied with “I don’t know.” So for the next hour you sat their silently while Kevin full out ignored you. Finally, Kevin spoke to you, but it wasn’t as nice as you wanted it to be. He looked at you and said coldly “Ready to go?” You nodded your head and said goodbye to everyone and grabbed your jacket. The walk to the car was very quiet and awkward. When you reached the car you didn’t think you could last the entire drive with that kind of atmosphere, so you said “What did I do?” Kevin turned around and said “I don’t want to talk about.” “Well to bad, because I do!” You retorted. “Well then how about you talk to Jason then, since you two loved talking so much!” He yelled. It finally dawned on you that Kevin was jealous. You walked up to him and wrapped your arms around his neck. You looked up at him and smirked “You’re jealous.” He looked at you, but didn’t say anything. You sighed and said “Kevin, me and Jason were just talking. That’s it, ok?” “I just don’t want to lose you.” He said sadly. “Kevin, you’re not going to lose me. I’m yours, all yours.” You said as you looked him in the eyes. He smiled and leaned down to kiss you. You kissed back and after a few seconds you pulled back. “I’m sorry I got jealous.” Kevin said timidly “It’s ok. Just next time come talk to me if you’re not comfortable about me talking to someone, ok?” “Ok. I love you so much Y/N.” “I love you too, Kevin.”
