You don’t exactly remember when you first started having a crush on Alex, but all started when you met him at a friend’s party. You thought he was nice, and cute, so when he asked for your number you actually gave it to him. A few days later you saw him at a Canadiens game. You were sitting really close to the ice and he noticed you during warm ups, so he waved. After the game he texted you.

*Did you like the game?*

*Would have been better if you’d won : ( You responded.

*Let me make it up to you. There’s this movie I really want to see, want to check it out this weekend?*

You replied that you’d love to, and set up a time. However, when you got to the theater, you saw that the movie didn’t start for another hour.

“Alex, did you know this?” You ask, pointing to the movie listings.

“Maybe,” he smirked and you playfully hit his arm. “Maybe I just wanted to spend some more time with you.”

You looked back at him, slightly impressed that he tricked you into hanging out with him for an extra hour. “Okay, what did you have in mind?”

He shrugged. “I hadn’t planned that far ahead,” he blushed. He looked around, trying to find somewhere you two could hang out for the next hour, and spotted a park across the street. “Come on, let’s check out this park.” He grabbed your hand and led you across the street. You expected him to let go of your hand once you’d crossed the street, but he kept his hand loosely clasped around yours.

You walked down a gravel path past a garden, and he stoped to pick a flower. “It’s beautiful, just like you,” he said as he put it in your hair.

“Thank you,” you blushed. For a first date, this was going pretty well. Further down the path, you came across a playground. You sat on the swing set and kick off your sandals.

“Want me to give you a push?” He asked and you nodded. You giggled as he pushed you, feeling like a little kid again.

“Should I jump?” You ask as you start getting pretty high up.

“Okay, just don’t get hurt!” He said. You took a deep breath and slipped of the swing at its peak. You landed ungracefully and fell over.

“Are you okay (Y/N)?” He said as he rushed over to help you up.

“I’m fine,” You laughed. “I haven’t done that since I was like 10.” You smiled at him, and suddenly remembered you were supposed to be watching a movie. “We’re going to be late!”

He checked the time on his phone. “Eh, I didn’t really want to see that movie anyway.”

“I thought you really wanted to see it?” You asked.

“No, I just wanted an excuse to see you again,” he smiled and kissed you on the cheek, and held your hand as you walked back to the movie theater.
