Chapter: Twenty-Three

Vision

"What you are trying to say is that you and Cho kissed?" Hailey confirmed as her brother nodded, Ron let out a laugh earning a glare from her and Hermione. "I don't see any problem with that."

"No- I mean, It was... It was sort of wet. She was- She was crying." He said hugging his knees closer to his chest as he sat on the floor while the rest of them sat on the sofas.

"Oh," Ron said his smile slightly fading. "Are you that bad at kissing? I mean... I know I'm not that bad cause Hailey still kisses me... But you get the point right?" Hailey mentally face palmed herself. Sometimes, this boy could be a real nutter.

Harry made a face of realisation. "Dunno... Maybe I am." He said. Now he was worried. This was his first kiss and... maybe he was really bad at it.

"Of course you are not," Hermione said defensively.

"How do you know that?" Ron asked.

"Cause Cho spends half the time crying these days," Hermione said. "She's been all over the places, she cries at lunch, dinner, breakfast, even classes sometimes."

"So you thought a bit of kissing would cheer her up," Ron said grinning at his confused best friend.

"For Godric's sake. You're the most insensitive person I had the displeasure of meeting." Hailey said shaking her head in disbelief at her boyfriend's word.

"What sort of person cries while kissing?!" He asked.

"Don't you understand how she is feeling?" The girl asked furiously as both the boys muttered a no simultaneously. "You guys have a really thick skull."

"Of course she is feeling sad as Cedric died. Confused as she liked him but now is having feelings for harry. Guilty thinking it's an insult to Cedric's memory. Worried what people might say about her going out with Harry. Afraid of being thrown out of their quidditch team cause she can't fly that well... It's all mixed emotions."

"The poor girl is so stressed out that she even lost a lot of weight and is not doing so well in class," Hailey added. Both the boys started at the two in astonishment.

"One person can't feel so many emotions at the same time... They'd explode," Ron muttered.

"Just because you've got the emotional range of a teaspoon doesn't mean we all have," Hermione said and Hailey couldn't help but laugh. Ron looked from Harry to her before a smile found its way on his lips and in minutes the four were laughing so hard they might wake others up.

"Alright alright." Hailey started. "That's enough for one night, you'll sort things out. Talk to her. It'll be fine."

"I suppose," Harry said getting up. "See you two later. Night."

"Night," Hailey said standing in front of Ron. "And you, try being a bit more helpful. The lad needs some mental support from a guy."

"How am I supposed to help him?! You never cry while we kiss." He whined as she rolled her eyes. "Don't give me the I'm so done with you look."

"I lowkey am. Anyways just try." She said getting on her tippy toes to press a kiss to his lips.

"Love you."

"Love you too." She said. Both said their good nights before heading towards their respective dorms.

"Hails, I promised Fred to meet him at his dorm. I'll see you tomorrow." Hermione said.

"See ya." She said. Getting in the dorm she found Parvati and Lavender sound asleep. She carefully changed her sleeping clothes and slipped into her bed without making noise and soon fell asleep like the rest of them.

A small knock on the door woke Hailey up. She was a light sleeper. She opened the door to reveal-

"Professor McGonagall?" She asked.

"Harry had a vision that Arthur Weasley has been attacked. Everyone's at the headmaster's office. Come." She said quickly. Hailey grabbed one of her cardigans and wrapped it around her body. She saw Ginny outside who immediately engulfed her in a hug.

"H-Hailey." The usually strong girl whimpered which broke her heart.

"Shh..." She said rubbing her back slowly. "It'll be okay." She confirmed not fully aware of the situation. As the three of them entered, she couldn't help but feel self-conscious about her attire. She was just in a tank top (Which was Ron's) but thankful she had a cardigan over that and in a pair of shorts. It was kinda cold outside but she still wore that to bed.

"-You'll be travelling through portkey," Dumbledore said. "Ms Potter and Ms Weasley are here. You all should get going." As soon as those words left his mouth all eyes turned towards her. Hailey's face was now red. Why didn't she wear something less revealing?! She never wore shorts outside. It was something she just wasn't comfortable with. All her thoughts went away when she saw the look on Ron's face. He looked broken.

No words were exchanged as the Weasleys, Potters and Granger got to the Grimmauld Place. As soon as they all got on their feet Sirius rushed into the room. He asked Harry about his vision and he explained how he had this vision where Arthur was attacked by a snake. And in the vision, he was the snake.

The vision turned out to be true as he had to be rushed to St. Mungo's.

Fred and George demanded to see their father but was dismissed by Sirius. Ron on the other hand sat down and the sofa. Hailey followed by and sat beside him. The boy rested his head on her chest and wrapped his arms around her waist and sighed. It was just hours ago he was making fun of Harry with the rest of the lot for being a bad kisser. Fred was indeed right. Time is galleons. Now they were here, unsure if his father is alive or not.

Hailey ran her fingers through his hair softly as Ginny came and sat beside them. The girl intertwined her hand with her free hand and squeezed it. "He'll be alright... Right?"

"He will."

The weather was cold and her clothes did not help to keep her warm. All of a sudden she felt Ron get up and taking off his jacket before putting it over her legs. "W-What are you doing?"

"You're cold, I can tell." He replied going back to his previous position.

"But you're gonna get cold."

"Then keep me warm as well." He snuggled closer. How did this boy make her a blushing mess  every time he opened his mouth?

Fred was on the other side of the room with Hermione. Both of their hands intertwined as they talked in a low voice. George was on another sofa, with his head in his hand. Hailey wasn't quite sure if he was awake or not. Her eyes met with Harry's.

The boy looked miserable. She wanted to up to him and hug him. But she couldn't as Ron was almost asleep on her. As if Harry understood what she wanted to do he mouthed an it's okay to her. Sirius handed them all warm Butterbeer, which all of them drank quietly.

Soon Mrs Weasley came into the room. Ginny was the first to hug her. She assured all the kids that Mr Weasley was alright. She thanked Harry for basically saving his life to which he didn't say much. Everyone was tired.

They were all instructed to get some sleep before breakfast.

"Stay with me?" Ron had asked her as she was about to in the room which she, Hermione and Ginny always shared.

"Sure."

As they walked in, Harry was already lying on the bed. Eyes wide opened as he aimlessly stared at the ceiling. Hailey pulled him in a hug. He hugged her back but said nothing. She lied down on the other bed beside Ron. He wrapped his arm over her waist as her back was pressed against his chest.

"Sweet dreams."
