Lydia was normally not one to sleep in. She enjoyed waking up early in the morning. Mornings were peaceful for her, quiet. Typically, the rest of her house was still sleeping since they preferred to wake up later in the day, assuming it was a day where they did not have work or school. She usually used the mornings to relax. She would typically use that time to work on her heart or read a book while she ate a fruit. But this morning was a little different since she actually slept through it. She didn't end up waking until a little after noon. It wasn't intentional, she was just tired. She spent the whole night fixating on her fears and when she finally fell asleep, she was plagued by nightmares. Ones that she experienced often, ones that inspired her latest drawings.

She was still feeling tired as she exited her room, entering the hallway and noticing that Elena's door was open and inside she could see Elena, Caroline, and Bonnie. Part of her wanted to go say hello, the other part of her hoped she could escape down the stairs without being seen. She couldn't.

"Lydia!" Elena called out, walking out of her room and into the hallway."Good. You're awake. I was starting to worry."

"Yeah, I was just really tired," Lydia informed her, not surprised that Elena was concerned considering that Lydia sleeping in was a rare occurrence."Is there anything you need?"

Elena's face fell slightly, indicating that the conversation was about to become more serious, which Lydia was dreading. She was hoping that it had nothing to do with last night, but she was probably wrong.

"Can we talk? Downstairs?" Elena asked her. Lydia wanted to say no, but she didn't have a valid reason to and avoiding the conversation wouldn't help anything. So Lydia slowly nodded her head, allowing Elena to lead her downstairs to the kitchen table where they both sat down across from each other.

"What exactly are you doing with Kol?" Elena questioned, her tone was off. She didn't sound judgmental, she sounded curious, but almost as if she was afraid of the answer.

On the other hand, Lydia was relieved. She thought the conversation was going to be much different."Oh, nothing. He just keeps on flirting with me, hopefully he stops, I think he's flirting actually, you know how I'm not that great with that stuff."

Elena seemed relieved at this answer,"So you aren't going to see him again? Because you told me that yesterday but the two of you were together last night?"

"Because he just showed up," Lydia responded, placing her hands flat on the table."Trust me, I really didn't want to see him. Or anyone while I was panicking. I don't want to see him again. But is there a reason why I shouldn't? You seem like you know something?"
