T/W mentioned neglect and food control
Tommy's P.O.V
It was 3 pm and my shift had started at 6 am. I was supposed to have taken a break at 11 am as well as my lunch break at 1 pm but I decided not to. I already felt like I was slacking because I had to take a week off of work while I was really sick. Now, I felt a strange obligation to make up for that time that I was off. My parents had been arguing that morning so I didn't get anything to eat and I was really hungry. I knew that it dangerous for me to not eat and drink properly because of my low blood pressure but there wasn't much that I could do about it. It wasn't always up to me when I ate or drank. My parents liked to control that whenever they were around - which wasn't often.
"Tommy?" Dream said.
"Yeah?" I replied.
"Have you taken any break's today? Phil said he hasn't seen you go into the break room at all today?"
"Oh, uh, yeah, I took a break earlier." I lied.
"Okay, just making sure."
"Yeah, thanks Dream!"
"No problem. I'll see you in a bit, I'm just unloading a delivery so if you need me I'll be in the loading bay or the breakroom."
"Okay. See ya."
Dream left. Walking towards the back of the store and I turned back to the job that I was doing. I noticed my hands were shaking as I moved. Oh well, I was probably just cold.
Half an hour passed and I was back on cashier duty. Everyone had a specific section of the shop that we worked in but a couple of people (me included) also worked on the tills along with our sections. I worked mostly in the grocery department.
