"Pwede kayong pumili kung gusto niyo maging human o zombie. Kapag human ka, may tatlong red flags ka sa likod—'yun ang magsisilbi na buhay mo. Kapag zombie ka naman, the more flags you snatch from the humans, the more points will you get.—

"Habang tumatakbo, meron ding mga sponsors at mga extra life na makukuha along the way. Marami ring iba pang twists na madadaanan tulad ng fake humans, tapos zombie pala," Erick explained.

"And the run will only be at midnight. We're gonna call it 'Outbreakers Manila!'" exclaimed Dwight. He even had his fist on the air.

"Cool," I said.

We are currently in the ECB's Vengeance room in preparation for another alumni game to be held next month. Dwight and Erick were talking about their charity fun run called Outbreakers Manila.

To be fair, their idea was really fun and exciting. It's a fun run with a twist. For sure it will be a success. However, Morganne and I won't be able to join. She's still in the process of recovering so she couldn't do a 5K run.

"Si Viel bagay maging zombie. 'Di na kailangan mag-make up! Mukha na agad zombie!" Austin teased. "Natural face, brotha!"

"Gago, kapag naging zombie ako, hindi flag ang dadakutin ko. Pwet mismo!" Viel laughed.

Everyone laughed with them. Napailing nalang ako. May girlfriend na at lahat si Viel, 'di pa rin nagbabago.

"Ikaw bro, human ka o zombie?" Clyde asked.

"Huh? Ako?" I asked, pointing to myself. I wasn't sure if he were talking to me or not.

"Patay tayo d'yan. Sabaw si Abo." Viel chuckled. "Anong sabaw ba 'yan? Sinigang? Hahaha!"

"Hindi maka-focus?" Sky grinned. "Dahil siguro kay Ms. Reyes."

"Teka, sino 'yun? 'Yun ba yung employee na pinagiinitan daw ni Ash ng isang linggo na?" King asked.

"Tumpak!" Viel said.

"Ah, yung bago? Chics ba?" Austin asked.

"Oo brad. Chics na chics. Sa sobrang chics nagyeyelo na sa tigas ang pantalon ni Abo! Hahaha!" Viel again. Tsk.

"Woooh! Reyes! Reyes! Reyes!" They even cheered.

"Will you guys stop it? I'm with Morganne. And to answer Clyde's question, I can't be a human or a zombie, because Morganne can't run yet. So I won't attend, too," I said. "I'd still donate, though."

I knew they were still about to tease me more but they stopped when Morganne suddenly entered the room. They all greeted her like they weren't teasing me to another stranger seconds ago.

"Ganne, si Ash nangchi-chics daw sa trabaho o! Itali mo na 'yan!" sumbong ni Dave.

The heck?!

"No, I'm not," I told Morganne. I shook my head aggressively.

Morganne just looked at me and smiled faintly.

"Kailan niyo ba kasi balak pakasal?" asked Austin.

"Wala pa kaming balak," said Morganne before I could even answer.

"Bakit? Teka, nag-kiss na man lang ba kayo?" asked King.

"We've kissed... sa cheeks," Morganne answered.

The whole room was suddenly quiet. I took that as an opportunity to take Morganne's hand as we got out of the Vengeance room. Bago pa ako nakalabas, I heard Viel saying, "Shit, déjà vu!"
