Laying on her side and unable to sleep Edda tried to meditate and clear her mind, but the sound of multiple crickets wouldn't let her. She knew the reason her heart won't stop racing . The guilty feeling that she had hurt Levi just wasn't dying. Every thing about her, was drawing her to apologize to him, but she kept fighting it. She felt he deserved it this time,  but her conscience did seem to agree with that.

They could have walked into the arms of death if she hadn't stopped him, but the measure she took was the problem. She thought she didn't have to hit him, not in front of everyone. also another thought emerged that he deserved it for pushing her back and for using Kelvin's weakness against him. It was as humorous as it was dangerous for a grown man and a person of his ability to have such a problem, and it was really cowardly of Levi to use it against him.

Unable to take it anymore,  she rolled over and rested on her elbows in a bid to rise up. She looked around and noticed Kira seated up against a tree, frozen, and possibly lost in thought. Knowing full well that she won't get a reply she ignored the urge to ask why she wasn't sleeping. She looked around again, and aside from Ivan and Marcus who took the night's watch, everyone else was asleep. She looked to Levi's spot,  and it was empty. It startled her for a bit. It was indeed a rare thing for Levi to be away from the squad at night.

She knew he was probably stewing over what had happened somewhere outside the camp. She took a deep breath and got up. She motioned sneak into the bush without alerting Marcus and Ivan,  but was stopped by a whistle from behind.
"he went that way " Marcus said, pointing in a direction, west of her. She nodded and changed her direction instantly. She walked through the bushes and shrubs,  until she heard periodic rustling of leafs, faint grunts and barely audible words.

She stumbled into another clearing, and lifted her gaze to see Levi throwing pebbles at the Bush ahead of him,  kicking, grunting and cursing quietly, like he was afraid someone or something would hear him. He had picked up  a Pebble and was ready to throw it when he heard his name. The Pebble dropped immediately he turned to her.
They both stood opposite each other for some seconds, each one of them waiting for the other to speak.

Bored of the silence, Edda spoke first "what are you doing out here all alone"  she said in a friendly familiar tone
"what do you want " he asked bluntly
" to check up on you" she replied, this time removing all familiarity
"well I'm fine thank you... You may go back now" he replied turning away
"what do you want me to say" she said,  spreading her arms out to her sides
He didn't look back,  not going planning on giving her the courtesy of a reply
"that I'm sorry?...  There ive said it" she said moving closer
" that's the worst apology ive ever heard" he replied

"how else do u want me to apologize " she demanded
" you insulted me in front of everyone and that arrogant bastard" he said angrily
"Okay, calm down " she said gently, reaching to his shoulder from behind, but he shrugged it off.
" calm down?... You just gave him an upper hand "  he replied
" this isn't some sort of competition Levi,  you remember that right?  We have to work as a team"
"I'll prove to you I'm better than he'll ever be,  just watch me"  he declared confidently

"what?... You don't have to prove anything to me" she protested
"wait...  This isn't about me right " she asked,  walking to face him, but he didn't have an answer and was dodging the question
" i can't believe this " she whispered placing her wrist against her temple"
"you're far more important to me than Kelvin is, why can't you see that"  she yelled out,  but he quickly stopped her by holding her mouth.
She broke free and continued again " i don't trust Kelvin just as much as you,  but we can't just let our emotions determine our motive "  she said, panting heavily.
"look who's talking "  Levi replied
Edda fell silent,  knowing full well that she was the exact opposite of what she was preaching.
