kelvin remained at the brattice, pondering over everything that had happened over the past few days, his sudden change of environment from the meadows to the Castle, in just a couple of days, he didn't even notice the king walking up to him. "kelvin, i want you to join me at the table today." he said, pulling at kelvin's shoulder. "I've arranged for an armour similar to your father's, back in your Chambers. Do not forget to come with his sword ... sorry your sword, its yours now" he concluded walking back into the castle in the company of his guards.

Kelvin sighed again as the king disappeared out of sight, he had been burdened by the sudden change of events and his inability to exhert any control over them, but now this? He reluctantly pulled away from the balcony to his room. He went to pick up the sword first before going over to the bed where the armor was placed. He stood over it for a while, examining the black and gold armor with interest.

The slightly visible wolf head's etched on either sides of its pauldrons. It was all he had ever wanted to be untill recent years though, not just an ordinary black cape but a high ranking officer, not to even being a member of the royal family. but it was all happening too fast. He wanted to just take a step back and get a break, but who would let it.

He slowly began to try the armor on, wearing the chain mail over his clothes and the breastplates, but got stuck, being unfamiliar with the elegant carvings. He fumbled with them for some minutes before he heard the door knob twist open as Rava stepped in.
" What are you doing he asked" seemingly surprised
" I'm cooking a steak... What does it seem like I'm doing" Kelvin responded with a sincere tone.
Rava frowned first, then smiled as he turned to leave, realizing Kelvin was going to need him
"Well what do you know... Anyone can cook these days" he murmured back.
"C'mon man " Kelvin said throwing both arms in the air, causing the armour to clatter on the ground instantaneously.
Rava turned sharply at the sound " you gutter rat ceremonial armors aren't supposed to suffer so much as a scratch, but of course how would you know "
"Just cut the sh*t , and give me a hand " Kelvin surrendered.
"the king seems to be taking a liking to you." he said helping kelvin latch the laces of the breastplate at his back.

"I know, although I don't fully understand it yet, but it's his daughter I'm worried about, she doesn't seem to like me very much" he said half choking at the tightness of the breastplate.

"What makes you think that" Rava said loosening it a bit

Kelvin felt the urge to let him in on the situation but refrained on a second thought, choosing instead to see as it would all play out.
" I don't know I just see it in the way she looks at me" he said conclusively

"Well I don't know too much about Ladies but I heard they do certain things and mean the other, kind of like a way to cover their true feelings "

"Not this one... Trust me " kelvin said finally picking up the sword, "let's go"

Before long both of them were on their way to the chamber where the king met with the Knights. They made their way down from the kings quarters, descended down the long stairs, through the throne room and walked down to the chamber where the meeting was being held.

Their hurried foot steps stopped as they approached the twin doors leading into the room, guarded by two, soldiers on each side. Rava ushered kelvin in, as it wasn't his place to go in there. Kelvin stood still, completely tensed up. Inside that room, where great men of valor with unquestionable skill and Battle experience of big names and Noble backgrounds. He knew he wasn't fit to sit among such men. "The king awaits you" Rava announced drawing him from his ocean of thoughts.

The guards had gripped the door's handles, in a bid to open them, just waiting for his signal. He drew a deep breath and nodded his head in approval. The doors creaked open and he walked in, taking every step with a confidence his body obviously struggled to produce. "here he is. " the king said, causing all the Knights to turn in his direction.
