"Kelvin,  there's something i think you should know"     Rava whispered as they sat on the ground, opposite each other on deck, looking up absent-mindedly at the stars in the night sky.
They had just ended the conversation about what had happened a week earlier; the day they left the island. Kelvin narrated everything that happened in detail to him, and how it related to what happened with Chris back at the Academy. Although it wasn't possible for Rava to imagine and process what he had heard, he knew Kelvin wouldn't make such stuff up,  besides after watching Ava perform  a few tricks the past few days,  he wasn't sure what was or wasn't possible anymore.

"its awfully dark out here tonight "   Rava stated, suddenly noticing his surroundings.
" yea...  I noticed " Kelvin replied  " is that what you wanted me to know "
" no,  absolutely not" Rava replied and took a deep breath, signaling the commencement of the topic
" i heard,  someone predicted that... No i mean... " not sure how to start the sentence without revealing too much. Kelvin turned to him,  and he got the message.
" Okay let me put it this way, if you wanted someone out of the team who would it be"
Kelvin looked at him for a while before answering.   " is that a real question,  you already know"
"you think we're all going to make it back"  Rava asked
"all? " Kelvin asked  " you know that's not possible"
"exactly my point, what if someone doesn't make it out alive from our next encounter"
"it won't be strange,  it is bound to happen sooner or later...  Most likely soon though "  Kelvin said trying to balance the odds.

Dru rose his head up, and sniffed the air,  from beside them
" what's the matter buddy" Kelvin asked turning to him,  but the wolf went on to the barriers and began barking into the darkness.
"silence that dog of yours Kelvin, we're trying to think here "  Levi ordered from a other end of the ship, i  front of the captain's quarters.
"it's a Wolf,  W-O-L-F"  Rava corrected
"whatever it is, shut it up, or I'll come do it myself " He glared
" I would love to see you try"  Rava yelled back.
Levi fell short of words,  he was in to position to fight a huge angry wolf,  but he drew his sword.
"what's going on,  why is he barking Edda asked sleepily
"not sure yet Kelvin replied "

" Well, let's find out" kira said, walking off to the edge to look for herself, but couldn't see anything in the darkness.
They all went to different sides to see if anyone could see something, but still nothing.
"douse the lamps"   Kelvin advised.
"why? " Mia asked
" we need to blend into the darkness, and it'll help us see better "    he replied.
" how do we see when something jumps on deck"   Kira  asked
"i think it's what's out there we should worry about " Leo said pointing into the darkness
Kelvin looked to Levi,  waiting for him to give an order. Levi looked to Edda who looked at Kelvin, and then back to Levi with an appealing look.
He sighed,  then gave the order, after which they immediately put off all the lamps on the ship.

The ship was quiet,  but for the sound of rushing water below and the straining ropes above them. They all listened for  a sound since their eyes couldn't help,  but got nothing. Edda used the opportunity of the darkness to sneak up to where Kelvin and Rava stood, all her hopes resting on Kelvin's heightened hearing ability.
"hear anything thing " she asked when she got  there. Both Kelvin and Rava shook their heads simultaneously, not looking in her direction as their attentions were focused on what was in front of them. She stayed there with them, relying on them to be the first to pick up something.

Finally something reached Kelvin's hear,  but he couldn't make out what it was.  He listened for it again, but heard nothing more. He waited patiently to pick the sound again,  and no sooner had it come than a cry from the crow,  alerting them to an imminent storm, 9 o'clock of the ship. Kelvin turned backwards immediately towards the direction of the storm and saw it, rich with lightening and troubled waters far off in the distance, he immediately drew his mind back to his side of the ship, but the sound was gone, just the sound of a huge splash in the water,  followed by a faint wriggle. He paused. The splash wasn't Marlin's, it came from the distance,  and faint. he wanted to listen again, but knew how dangerous it would be if he waited too long to be right.
