The door into the throne room creaked open, as the guards pushed it in, to let them both in. Rava stepped in ahead of kelvin, who's gaze was pinned to the ground, Still pondering over what he had seen in the hall of heroes. Whoever that was, as it would seem a not too distant relative wasn't born a neutral, but a noble, a knight of the highest rank, a hero, it all didn't make any sense. He began to develop a burning desire to know more.

King Rothgar sat Gracefully upon his golden dragon throne, scepter in hand, as he addressed an issue brought to him by some nobles and Lords. He heard the sound of the doors open from a hundred feet away and lifted his gaze to it, bored of the too many procedures and his sitting down for too long.A wave of shock hit him as his gaze landed on the figure next to the black cape. He got up from his throne, descended the little steps before him and then paused to examine the young man properly. "Rehdah? He called breathlessly. Kelvin looked up at him sharply in response. The king gasped in shock.

"You stand before king Rothgar Hertsberg First of his name, Lord protector of the realm... King of th... " the king raised the sceptre to stop the announcer, and walked down to the young man ahead of him.
Rava immediately went down on one knee and bowed, he also nudged kelvin to do the same, but he was too carried away to notice. He took one long look at him, and whispered "Kelvin?" he finally said like the name just came back to memory.
Kelvin gave an acknowledging nod though shocked at the turn of events.
The king gestured to shake his hand, but he hesitated at first, and later obliged. As he took the kings hand the king gripped his hand roughly pulled him closer and opened his shirt, then stopped. There adjacent to the wolf head chain he recognized, was an all too familiar scar.
"By the gods " the king exclaimed ,as kelvin withdrew his arm and adjusted his clothes.
"Alwin the boy lives" he whispered beneath his breath looking up with a sense of joy and gratefulness. Kelvin watched with keen interest the reactions of the king.

He initially was thinking this was all a plot to get him to loose his guard, but he could Sense some genuineness now and that made everything even much worse.

"Your Grace, He his the man you requested to see my lord." Rava said, still bending on his knee though with wide eyes. The king spun around in disbelief.

"it can't be...?" he said pointing at kelvin, who turned down to look at Rava at his side. The king turned to look up at his throne, his eyes reflecting the light bouncing of it. "leave us." he said burying his head into his hand .

Thus far, the king had defied everything kelvin had thought or heard of him to be. He was more human than kelvin had ever imagined, but that wasn't helping his situation at the moment. He felt consumed in the black oblivion of a past he never knew.

The king heard the door close shut before he turned away from the throne to face kelvin. "come with me." he said, leading kelvin into the balcony from where he observed most of the kingdom.

They stood just a few steps away from each other, arms on the concrete barrier. The silence passed between them for a while, then the king spoke first, "you don't remember me you said?" he inquired.

"No, i don't." kelvin said, lowering his chin to the top of the edge.

"I'm sorry." the king declared again with a sigh, burying his forehead in his palm.

"I'm not sure I know what you're apologizing for " kelvin replied soberly.

" I never found you" the King seemed disappointed, not in kelvin, but seemingly, himself. "Until today ...why? "

"wherever you are, Alwin, i hope you can forgive me" he said inaudibly looking into the skies.

"I am the friend of your father's, he was my most trusted, most loyal, friend," he began. "we were thick as thieves, we grew up together, played with you and Edda together when you were kids, went on squad missions together, fought alongside each other and won many battles, under my father, the king before me. The battles of barren Heights and Black heath. We led them both together, he was better than me though" the king simled at this point and continued on", and i knew it, and was very fond of him, although it displeased my father, but that was fate. My father never acknowledged him, Until the battle at the infernal catacombs."
