The sun had begun rise above the horizon before Strolgarh, stretching its golden beams as far as the eyes could see. through woods, into the meadows and over the farmlands that surrounded the city, the crowing of cocks chirping of birds could be heard as well as the grinding of wooden tires of chariots and wagons on the cobbled roads of the district. The city was waking up and with it the anxiety of what was to unfold. the unlocked windows of his chammber gave way to the violent rush of light, that battered his eyelids till he opened them and rolled over to his side subconsciously to avoid them. Dru sat still by his side, like he'd been waiting for him to wake up. He was already getting conscious of his environment, but pushed to get some more sleep but the wolf pushed his head back and forth with his paws, making it impossible for him.

" What" He gave up rolled off the bed, then sat up looking at the creature in annoyance, but in jumped off the bed and started running in diverse directions scratching at the stone floor. So he understood. He then got up and opened the door, through which the wolf ran till it was out of sight. He then walked away to the window to get a view of the castle below, his head had been fuzzy since the night before, he wasn't really able to remember much at the moment, his body still reeked of the excess wine he drank the night before.

Down at the feet of the castle, the maids cleared what appeared to be the aftermath of the party, he watched them absent mindedly for a while then a Fang soldier walked across his line of sight as the maids cleaned on. Instantly a memory jolted through his head, he rushed off to the bath and took a quick wash. He was putting on his chain mail when he heard a knock on the door. He didn't respond, but continued to put on his armour, the knock came again but the person didn't wait for a reply and walked in.

He lifted his gaze to see Beatrice, looking at him with interest, having a loaf of bread and some eggs on a plate in one hand and a cup in the other, "I knew you wouldn't be able to get up early judging by how much you had last night." he pulled out his sword and sheathed it into a new sheath that was attached to his belt.

" i only drink like that when, my spirit is heavy" he replied her

"you're worried you all won't make it back, it's normal, your father used to feel that way too " she said setting the food down on the table.

"its not that, our destination is an uncharted area in the North, and i don't know if I can trust these folks to co-operate out there " he said fumbling with the vambraces. He walked over to the table and gnawed at the bread hungrily, he gobbled some eggs before he set the plate down again.
"They are trained soldiers, not free born blades like the ones you're used to, they can co-operate, it's you I'm worried about"
"What, why me" he asked, puzzled
"I'm somewhat worried you could tear them apart from within" she said
" That's unfair" he said folding his arms, his countenance showing a deep sense of interest in her opinion
"Don't get me wrong Kelvin, you see things differently than the would, and they might not buy into your ideas immediately"
Kelvin unfolded and dropped his arms immediately. "Really"
"Promise me you'll never get in a fight with them" she said finally
Kelvin was stunned. And only nodded his agreement reluctantly, then the room went silent , for what seemed like minutes, then kelvin asked
"You really think I'm going to divide them"
"Not all of them, I guess"
"Then who in particular"
"Just promise me "
"Fine I promise "
"are they ready" he asked walking over to the bed, changing the topic.

"a letter arrived for the king this morning and he called for you all, i think it has something to do with your journey" he put on his helmet, and turned to the mirror, appreciating the fearsome image formed before him. "they should be in the hall soon. "she said raising the cup to him, he took it and had a drink of the warm tea, he finished up his breakfast, and went out to the hall.

He walked into the hall to see the king, Lord Carter, and the Counselor, all busy fumbling over a map spread over the table. The king was the first to notice him, "Kelvin, where are the others?" Kelvin reached the table quickly to catch a glimpse of what they were doing.
