"So, you think it is that easy to just pack up and leave?" Brooke shouted, "Tree Hill is my home and we live here."

"It's my home too, Brooke! It was just a suggestion, I didn't mean we had to."

"Is this why you were so supportive with me losing the company? So you could just pack us up and ship us out?"

"Brooke, no, I would never have wished that on you! I only mentioned it because there would be so many opportunities for you there... more for me too! I didn't think it was going to be a big deal." I defended, using a softer voice.

Without hesitation, Brooke reached for her bag and keys to head out.

"Brooke, what are you doing... there's a storm outside!"

She sent a glare my way as she headed out, "It is a big deal!"

Later on, I decided to call her.

"Hello?"

"Brooke, where are you? It's crazy outside and there is flooding everywhere."

"I don't know, I'm just driving." She spoke softly.

"Brooke, look I am sorry okay... I love you, please come home!"

"I don't know if I can, babe! I can barely see the road."

"Then stay where you are and I'll come get you! Where are you?"

I started to hear static, as I was loosing the phone connection I heard her say 'Gable Bridge' followed by a scream. Without a second to spare I bolted out the door.

***

The storm was as bad as the news had said, and it was only getting worse. I was getting closer to the bridge but I had yet to see Brooke's car anywhere. The first thing I saw was a red truck on its side so I instantly got out. I shined the flashlight and my heart jumped.

"Brooke!?" I shouted through the thunder.

The moment we locked eyes, I saw her shoulders relax. I could see the relief in her eyes as she looked at me. I could see that I was saving her. Just as the word 'save' came to my mind, my world flipped upside down. An oncoming vehicle came speeding in and no matter what I did, they didn't stop.

"Tobin!" Brooke shouted.

At that moment, the other car came crashing into Brooke and the truck flipped over into the water. I instantly reacted and dove into the water after them.

"Are you guys okay?" I asked.

"Are we sinking?" Jamie panicked.

"No! We are on the bottom so the water won't get any higher."

"Are you sure?" Brooke questioned.

"Yes, I promise!" I ensured, "Hey, I'm sorry."

"No, I'm sorry... I didn't mean it."

"I'm still sorry... we won't go anywhere okay? Now, I'm gonna get you out of here!"

"Do you hear that?" Jamie said, scared.

Just as I realized what was happening, feeling the water rise more and pour into the car, I worked on Brooke's leg.

"Tobin, save him... he's just a boy!" Brooke pleaded.

"I can get you out!" I shouted.

"Tobin! Get him out... he loves you, and so do I, now save him."

I took a long, hard look at Brooke before turning to Jamie.

"Alright, J-Luke, we gotta get you out of here... you have to be my best man, right?" I said, in hopes to calm him and myself down.

Finally, with a long hard pull I was able to get Jamie out and on land... but without wasting a minute, I jumped right back in for Brooke. I made it back inside only to see Brooke's head under water. I took a deep breath, pushed some of it into her mouth, and then began working on her leg. I repeated it several times, but this time she didn't accept the air. Her body was still, and calm... I screamed, letting all of the air out and without knowing it I had gotten her leg free.

I carried her to shore, and onto the bridge to start CPR as she wouldn't breath.

"Tobin, is she okay?" Jamie cried.

"Jamie, I need you to go to the end of the bridge and wait, okay? Go!" I screamed, turning back to Brooke.

I pushed on her chest and blew air into her lungs, over and over again, but it wouldn't work. I was so numb now, I couldn't feel anything.

"Come on, baby... you can't do this." I cried, smacking the ground and laying my head onto her chest.

Laying on her chest, I could hear it... even though it was faint. I could hear her heart beating. I pushed on her chest one more time, and this time she choked up water and started to breath again. I let out a huge breath as she hung onto me tightly and I wrapped my arms around her.

"I love you." She breathed.

I couldn't help but smile and shake my head, "I love you."

***

Weeks had passed since the accident, and now Brooke and I had our parties for tonight since the wedding was tomorrow.

"Try not to get into too much trouble tonight." Brooke teased, with her signature smirk.

"Hmm, well, you already had me misbehave today... twice!"

"Well, I had to remind you of what you would be missing out on if you screw up tonight!"

I smiled and laid back down into the bed, placing a kiss onto her lips.

"And what happens if you misbehave?" I smirked.

"Then you'll forgive me because I'm cute!" She laughed, giving me another kiss.

"If you say so!" I laughed back.

***

Later that night, Brooke finally came... only she looked sad for someone who was going to be getting married tomorrow.

"How'd it go? Why are you sad, Brooke Davis?" I asked.

"What happens at the party, stays at the party!?"

"Oh yeah? I thought that rule didn't apply." I smiled, "We can talk about it after the rehearsal anyway... in detail!"

"We might not need the rehearsal." Brooke pouted, getting my attention, "I don't deserve you, Tobin. I did something HORRIBLE... well, 2 things. I lost my engagement ring and I kissed some guy that I don't even remember."

"I do." I smirked, holding up her ring and describing that I was the mystery guy she had kissed last night.

Her smile just grew wide as she stepped closer to me. "Oh my gosh... We have literally looked EVERYWHERE for that!"

"Well," I smiled, sliding the ring back onto her finger, "It's where it belongs now."
