“Remember, if you’re headed in the wrong direction, God allows U-turns.”  Allison Gappa Botke

Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counselors they are established.  Proverbs 15:22 (King James Version

Frustrate:  “prevent (someone) from doing or achieving something”  New Oxford American Dictionary

“I really don’t think I’d be going up on stage today if I didn’t have Charlotte by my side.”  That’s what Jonathan had to say before his voice brought a music hall filled with skeptics to their feet.  That’s what Jonathan had to say before going viral on the internet.  And that’s why he made it known that he and Charlotte would remain a duo in the talent show, Britain’s Got Talent, even if it lessened his chances of winning.  As good, as inspiring, and as unexpected as Jonathan’s singing talent was, what’s more moving is the power of support, loyalty, and counsel found in teams.  Support is what can give a boost of courage to someone like Jonathan, a shy kid, into stardom.  It’s loyalty that sustains dignity, and value.  And it’s counsel that helps steer a path.  Without support and encouragement there would be far less achievement.  Without loyalty what would be the point of encouraging?  And without counsel, purpose would frustrated.  But, put them together and the possibilities are limitless.  Put them together and you have Jonathan Antoine and Charlotte Jaconelli, both filled with talent, both needing encouragement, both enjoying loyalty, and both needing counsel.  We are all on a team or two.  If you’re married, you’re on a team.  If you’re a single parent, you’re on a team.  Even if you’ve got nobody, you’re on a team.  We all have the ability to be on a team with our Maker.  We all need to be in a duo with our Creator.  And we all have a God who wants to give us all the support, encouragement, and counsel we can handle.  And there is non more loyal than Him.  Together, we can do anything.  Together we have purpose.  And together we can fulfill that purpose.  Even if we need to make a U-turn.
