“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
Eleanor Roosevelt

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ. Galatians 3:28

Idyll: “an extremely happy, peaceful, or picturesque episode or scene, typically an idealized or unsustainable one” New Oxford American Dictionary

When Lincoln spoke the Gettysburg Address, when Martin Luther King Jr. gave his Dream speech, they spoke not of an idyll dream but a future reality. We may never see an end to oppression and misery on this earth, but we all can look forward to a day when we will be transcended from this world and delivered blameless before our Lord. When that time comes, there will be no more wars (just or unjust), there will be no more hatred, and there will be no more sorrow. Until that time comes, let's do our best to banish from our hearts the things that cause the injustices we see in the world today and pray that God fills our hearts with His love for all humanity and creation. There is no better way to show we care for our fellow citizen than to let the love of God shine through us.
