Katalina's POV- June 2017

I closed the front door and looked around.

"Guys" I called out.

"In the backyard!"

I set a suitcase I had next to the staircase before making my way over to the kitchen. I opened the back sliding door and laughed when my mom popped a firework as Corey and my dad cheered.

"You're done with finals!"

I smiled at my mom as she made her way over.

"I'm going to be a wreck on Saturday"

I laughed as she pulled me into a hug.

"Where's Jojo?" I asked her as she kissed my cheek.

Dad cleared his throat.

"A hug will give you the answer"

I smiled and let him hug me.

"How was the final?"

"Brutal" I said.

I looked up at him as he still held me in his arms.

"Where's my dog?" I asked him.

I turned to Corey when my dad did not respond.

"He's in your room. Why am I not allowed to say the word Vet?"

Dad let go of me and I made my way over to Corey.

"Jojo doesn't like going to the Vet" I informed him.

He nodded and I hugged his waist.

"Are Alex and Martin getting here tonight?" I asked.

Mom shook her head.

"They get here tomorrow night, Alex had work"

I nodded and looked at Corey.

"Do you want to go with me?" I asked.

"Yeah"

I smiled and turned to my parents.

"I'll be back in a bit" I told them.

They nodded and I went to look for Jojo. He was playing with his chew toy on his bed as I walked into my room"

"Hi boy" I cooed at him.

He set his chew toy down and made his way over to me as I grabbed his leash and holster. He jumped on the bed and let me put on his holster.

"Where's your booster seat?" I asked him.

He barked and I followed him downstairs. He stopped in front of the closet and sat on his bottom. Corey chuckled as I pulled out the small booster seat.

"Let's go" I told Jojo.

He wagged his tail and followed Corey and I out. I set the seat and he hopped right on it curling up immediately.

"Good boy" I said scratching his head.

I closed the car door and got into the car just as Corey put on his seatbelt.

"Did you sleep well?" I asked him.

He nodded.

"Yeah, my arm isn't hurting as much. The doctors think I should be able to at least start running by next week"

"That's good" I said.

I pulled the car out and began driving.

"My estimated return time isn't until after the allstar break"
