Sixty Seven

Katalina's POV- March 2017

"Does it hurt?" I asked Corey as I touched his black eye.

He smiled and shook his head. Apparantly he wasn't wearing his sunglasses during a game and the ball nailed him in the face because he didn't see it coming.

"It did, but not anymore"

I nodded and frowned.

"Let's not make it a thing" I said.

He laughed and nodded.

"I'll try not to"

"It's all I ask for" I said.

He leaned down and pecked my lips.

"How were finals?"

I wiped the lipstick stain off his mouth and nodded.

"They were a lot easier than I thought they'd be" I said.

He smiled.

"Of course they were, you studied your butt off"

I nodded and pulled away from him.

"I heard back from USC" I told him.

"Yeah?"

I nodded.

"You did say the interview went well"

He looked at me and I pulled out a large envelope from my purse.

"Open it" I told him.

He took the envelope from me and took a deep breath as he pulled the paper out. I knew I had been accepted, but Corey was pretty invested in my college acceptance letters.

"What does it say?" I asked him when I saw he was showing no kind of emotion.

He lifted his finger and nodded slowly as he read the paper. This was my top choice, and he knew that if I didn't get accepted I was going to be so disapointed in myself.

"Um"

He looked at me and smiled.

"You got in"

He laughed.

"You got into the program"

He picked me up and pulled me into a tight hug.

"I'm so proud of you!"

I tightened the hold around his neck and pressed my face on his shoulder as he spun us around. He set me down and I smiled at him when I saw he was crying.

"Why are you crying?" I asked.

He laughed.

"You just got accepted to your top pick Dentistry Program"

He kissed my cheek and pecked my lips.

"I love you"

I smiled and nodded.

"I love you too" I told him.

He nodded and began pecking all of my face earning laughter from me.
