Forty Four

Katalina's POV- August 2016

"Are we allowed in here?"

I nodded and smiled at one of the security guards.

"Good afternoon" I told him.

He returned the smile.

"Afternoon Miss Kat"

He smiled at Alex and Stella who were walking behind me.

"Do you know where you're going?"

"Yup" I told her.

I stopped and pointed down a hallway.

"If you go down here it leads to the lockeroom and dugout" I told them.

Alex hummed and nodded.

"Cool"

I nodded and Maddie walked out of her office.

"I'm going to Cat's office, but go on in. Make yourselves at home, you know where the fridge is Kat"

I opened the door to Cat's office and nodded as Maddy thanked me. I turned to look at Stella and Alex who both had their phones out.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Taking a picture of the plaque"

I nodded and looked at the plaque that read, "DIRECTOR, PUBLIC RELATIONS: MADDY MOTA"

"What are you two doing?"

Alex looked at Maddy and smiled as Stella wiggled her eyebrows.

"Look at you and your hotshot career"

Maddy laughed and walked into her office.

"Katalina!"

I turned and smiled at Ellen Kershaw as she mader her way over.

"Hi honey!"

"Hi Ellen" I said as she hugged me.

She pulled away and looked at me.

"Please tell me you're coming on Thursday?"

"I'll try my best to make it there" I said.

She smiled and nodded.

"It would mean a lot if you could make it. Corey told me you were busy Thursday so I thought you wouldn't show"

I nodded.

"I have to get my uniform and get my roster picture taken. Hopefully it doesn't take all day" I told her.

The upperclassmen were given the weekend off, but the freshmen had bonding activities all weekend.

"That's good to hear"

She smiled at Alex and Stella.

"Hi, I'm Ellen"

Alex shook her hand.

"Alejandra, Kat's sister"

Ellen smiled and nodded.

"I can see the similarities"

Alex laughed and nodded.

"Yeah, she dyes her hair brown"

Ellen looked at me.

"You're a natural blonde?"

I laughed and nodded.
