Katalina's POV- October 2016

"Can I get your keys?"

I nodded and handed Nathan my keys.

"I'll take your bag"

I handed him my purse and he waved at Adrian.

"Nice seeing you"

Adrian nodded slowly and watched as Nate walked away.

"Thanks for meeting with me. I know you have class and work"

"I told you I would" I said.

He nodded and stuffed his hands into his pockets.

"You look like you could use a nap" I told him.

Adrian was incredibly pretty and to most people he might look a bit tired. I had dated him for about 2 months so I knew he hardly had eyebags, and right now his eyebags were dark, and deep. If someone wrapped him in a blanket, he would probably sleep all day.

"I haven't really been sleeping"

"Why not?" I asked.

"I could get sent down and not make the roster"

"And it will only make you better" I assured him.

He let out a sigh and nodded.

"What are you doing on Friday?"

"I have a game" I said.

He smiled.

"Right, I forgot about that. You've been doing a really good job"

"You keep up with my stats?" I asked.

He nodded.

"It's an away game, right?"

I nodded.

"Your boyfriend won't mind if I go to one of your games, right?"

I shook my head.

"No, why would he?" I asked.

"I'm kind of your exboyfriend"

"You're also my friend" I said.

He smiled.

"I could get you both tickets to a game?"

"That's sweet of you, but he's actually really busy right now" I told him.

He nodded.

"He plays baseball, right?"

"Yes he does" I confirmed.

"How did you two meet?"

"He's an old friend of Mike" I said.

"You're happy, right?"

I smiled and nodded.

"That's good, real good actually. You deserve to be happy"

He cleared his throat.

"I'll walk you to your car"

I nodded and we began walking.

"Is there a girl in your life?" I asked him.

He smiled and shook his head.

"I'm not exactly over you, so I figured I shouldn't lead a girl on"

He stuffed his hands into his pockets and shrugged lightly.

"I should focus on hockey, a girl will come eventually"
