I fall off of Sae and roll down onto the concrete.

I hear her cough and crawl away from me, her heavy breathes filling the air.

My heart slows.

My breathing slows.

My eyes wonder if they will close.

Blood gushes out of my mouth as I crumble my hand into a fist and look up at the sky.

Rain pours down onto my skin. My face.

I would like to think, it's washing away all my blood. My cuts. My pain.

But it's not.

My faint hearing closes onto the soft sound of the rain.

It quietly, to my ears, softly hits down onto the concrete.

It wets the stones. The ground.

The blood.

That's the only thing I can hear.

The soft pattering of the rain.

I put my hand up to my neck.

I'm dead.

So as I hear Sae cackle loudly.

And I hear her stand up, and I know she's smiling.

She knows she won.

I wheeze as I nod softly at her win.

A tear strolls down my cheek as I stare at her.

And smile.

And I give up. I close my eyes.
