The day was starting slow, until the afternoon neared. I had my meeting with C/N today! "Come on to my room, Y/N!" Angelica said, bringing Elizabeth and Margarita with her.

I giggled and followed them. "We have to put this on your lips." Margarita said, putting a red tint to my lips. "Don't lick it off." She warned.

Angelica put a pale pink powder to my cheeks and then stepped back. "You are ready." All three said in unison. I laughed softly and walked over to my room, the girls following.

I opened my closet and the girls surveyed my range of red dresses. "This one!" Elizabeth said, grabbing one of my fancier ones. I changed quickly and let down my hair for them to style.

They made a braided crown atop my head and I smiled. "No hat today." Angelica said as they walked me to the door. I slid my white gloves in.

"Where are you going?" Father asked from the living room. We halted. "Oh, I'm meeting a young man at his shop, you know him. C/F/N C/L/N." I said. Father was fond of him.

"Be back before sunset." He said, letting me leave. "I'll be back!" I squealed before leaving the house. My sisters waved goodbye and I strut into town.

Young men dipped their heads as I passed. I walked for several minutes before reaching the shop. I entered and the bell rang.

"Hello, welcome to New York Tailoring Business." An older man said. I walked up and smiled. "Hello, I'm here for C/N." I said politely, doing a slight curtesy.

"You must be Y/N. I'll go get him." He said. I watched as he left. I looked around the shop. It was simple yet regal. Several suits decorated the room. I watched as a taller man took the measurements of another.

The taller man noticed me and faced me. "Hello miss, is there anything I can help you with?" He asked. I shook my head gently. "I'm here for C/N." I explained. A small smirk played his lips. "You must me Y/F/N Schuyler. I'm Hercules Mulligan." He said, kissing my gloved hand.

"Y/N!" I turned back to the counter. C/N was walking over. He was a nice suit on, his C/H/C hair was neat as well. "Hello C/N." You said. He kissed your hand before linking arms with you.

"We will be back!" He shouted before exiting the shop with you.

"I am so glad you could make it!" He said excitedly. I giggled and smiled. "Thank you for inviting me." I said cheerily.

"So, what do you have planned?" I asked eagerly. He gave me a small smirk. "How do you feel about plays?

We arrived at the theatre and I quickly found out C/N got us top box seats! "What will we be watching?" I asked quietly as everyone filed in. "It's a show called Hamlet." He said. Ooooo! Sounds fun!

The play finished and everyone applauded. It was a great show! So much emotion! We stood and C/N helped me out if my seat. I tripped on my shoe and stumbled into him, getting close. "Woah." He said as he caught me. I looked up and our eyes met. A few moments of perfect silence before I stepped back.

"S-Sorry." I stuttered out. I could feel the blush on my cheeks. "It's quite alright." He said with a small smile. He helped me down the stairs to the exit. "Would you like to get something to eat?" He asked. I smiled and nodded.

We walked down the street before I spoke. "We can eat at my estate, my father wants to see you again, as well as my siblings."

C/N gave me a nervous smile. "It would be my honor." He said as we linked arms again. We walked past and my skirts skimmed the concrete.

We reached the estate in a few minutes. I knocked and a butler opened the door. C/N wasn't one fond of slaves, and he knew I wasn't either.

"Hello, Miss Y/N. Hello, Mr.C/N" Charles, one of my favorite butlers, said politely. "Hello Charles." I said, walking in. "Father! Mother! I'm home! I have C/N with me!" I shouted.

"C/N?!" I heard four of my siblings shout at once. Margarita ran in, Catharine in her arms and Cornelia following, chasing after John, Jeremiah, and Rensselaer.

"Hi C/N!" Rensselaer said cheerily. The boys adored C/N. "Boys, be polite!" Margarita hissed. C/N chuckled a bit. "Hello Rensselaer," He pointed to the boy. "Philip Jeremiah," He pointed. "And John."

The boys smiled at how he remembered their names. Most people didn't. "Hello C/N, good to see you." Angelica said as she tugged the boys behind her. Elizabeth picked up Cornelia, who was on the verge of tears.

"Good to see you all again." C/N said. Cornelia reached for him and he chuckled before taking her into his arms. She played with his C/H/C hair and smiled. I am pretty sure Cornelia has taken a liking to him as much as I have.

"Hello C/N." Father said as he walked up, mother following. "Hello Mr.Schuyler." C/N said, setting Cornelia down. She remained by his side.

"Will you be joining us for supper?" Mother asked. Supper was already cooking, I could smell it. "If it is alright with everyone." C/N said. The boys said "Yes!!" instantly. "Boys." Elizabeth scolded. They hung their heads.

"I'll help prepare supper, you and the boys could talk. Maybe father could join you." I said, walking for the kitchen. Angelica, Elizabeth, and Margarita followed.

"What did you two do?" Margarita asked suddenly. We had pork and corn in the stove. "Watched a play! Hamlet!" I said happily. The girls giggled. "What?" I asked.

"How long have you and C/N known each other?" Angelica asked, already knowing the answer. "Five years almost. Why?" I continued. They giggled some more. "Well, we overheard father and mother talking. He's going to ask for your hand!"
