Come over. We really need to talk.
That was the message that Gilmher left you making you extremely nervous. The first thought that came your mind was that he's breaking up with you. That scared you so you decided not to mess up your mind until you got an answer from Gilmher himself.
Two months ago, Gilmher unfortunately cheated on you. He confessed a week after he actually did it. You refused to forgive him but somehow, he pulled you back in and you found it in your heart to forgive him.
You knocked on his front door, waiting for him to answer. When he did, he looked terrible. He had dark bags under his eyes and his eyes were slightly red, probably meaning that he was crying.
"Woah..." you whispered and quickly wrapped your arms around him. He looked liked he needed a hug. He let out a shaky breath against your neck which sent shivers down your spine."Sit down please." he said quietly and led you the living room. You confusedly sat down and waited for him to sit but he continued pacing the room.
"Gil, what's wrong?" you asked but he shook his head."You know I love you right?" he said quickly making you nod. He continued walking back and forth, "and you know that I would never intentionally do anything to hurt you."
Again you nodded, not knowing where this conversation was going. Gilmher sat next to you and held your hands in his. You internally grimaced as his hands were beyond sweaty and he was shaking uncontrollably.
"You know how I cheated a while back?" Gilmher said, an ashamed look overcoming his features. You instantly felt deflated and nodded, not liking that he had to bring that up. He must've seen the look on your face. "Sorry."
"Continue please. What is this about?" you asked and Gilmher bit his lip. He looked like he was about to cry and so were you when you heard his next words."The girl I cheated on you with... she's pregnant. It's mine." he said, his voice dropping to a whisper. You were frozen. You didn't believe the words that came out of his mouth.
"What?" you whispered, tears building up in your eyes. Gilmher couldn't even look at you. You decided that there was no way that was true so you looked around the room for cameras. "It's a prank right? Where's the camera, Gilmher? You got me! Very funny."
"It's not a prank." he whispered but you shook your head, still looking around for a camera. Just anything that would prove that what he's saying is untrue. "Y/n, there's no camera."
"There has to be because you're not that stupid!" you yelled, turning your face to Gilmher. He gulped harshly when you started crying, wanting nothing more than to hug you but he knew you didn't want him to touch you. "You may have fucked another girl but you're not that stupid to let there even be a slight chance for her to fall pregnant! Right?"
Gilmher was silent and you kept yelling. He had enough and replied, "I can just send her money for child support but be with you. You've already forgiven me so it doesn't change anything." "This changes everything!" you cried, rubbing your forehead. "I forgave you for cheating but she's fallen pregnant! She is pregnant with your baby! That was meant for me in our future but it's not our future anymore."
"It still can be."
"No it can't. You are the father of someone else's child, Gilmher." you whimpered, standing and walking to the other side of the room. Gilmher watched you silently with cautious eyes. "You're a cheater, a liar and a backstabber but I will not let you add 'lousy father' to the list. Take responsibility for your actions and be there for your... child."
"Baby..." Gilmher's voice cracked and your eyes fluttered shut, a tear falling as you did so. He came behind you and put a hand on your shoulder. Quickly, you spun around and did something that surprised you. You hugged him. Gilmher was shocked but didn't complain and held you tightly.
"Why would you do this?" you cried into his chest. He felt an ache in his heart when you said that but he didn't reply. He didn't have an answer. You pulled away after a few minutes and sniffled harshly, wiping your nose with the sleeve of your shirt. Walking back to the couch, you slung your purse over your shoulder and walked back to the front door.
"Please..." Gilmher cried but you shook your head. He sat on the couch, his head in his hands. You opened the front door and stood there, wishing this was all a prank but you knew it wasn't."Gilmher," you called out making him look up at you with tears streaming down his cheeks. You sighed, feeling the tears welling up once again, "Be a good father."
