BELLA & JIHOON
Bella was always her own toughest critic. She thought that she owed it to her team as a leader to be one of the most upstanding members, so she harshly critiqued everything she did.
As the leader of her unit, Jihoon usually caught the most of this heat.
After a long and an intense day of writing and recording for the new album, Bella was really beating herself up. Everyone else thought she sounded fine, but she wouldn't listen to them. She didn't sound the way she wanted to, and that was enough to ruin her entire mood.
"Noona, calm down," Jihoon said with a heavy sigh, his voice groggy and low.
She turned to look at him through the glass in the recording booth. If looks could kill, Jihoon would be six feet under right now. "Don't tell a woman to calm down," she snapped.
He could only smirk. Honestly, he loved when she got fiery. "What's the problem? You sound great, as always."
"But it's not good enough," she complained, taking off her headphones and rubbing her bare face in her hands. "It doesn't matter if it's not good enough. Ugh, I'm losing my mind!"
"...Do you need a nap?"
Bella looked up at the younger boy, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Huh?"
"Sounds like you need to take an hour or two," he explained. "You have to take care of your mental state, you know? Take a nap."
"No, we have to finish this song—"
"With all due respect, I'm the producer. We can take a break if I say we can." Bella couldn't fight the smile creeping up on her face. "I'll just text Vernon and tell him to come in later and we can just chill in here for a while. I'll have Wonwoo bring us coffee when you wake up."
She walked out of the booth and towards the couch. He always knew what to say. She crawled onto the sofa, stretching her legs out over the edge of it. "You, too."
"What?"
"You've been working hard, too. Come sleep with me."
"No, it's okay, I—"
"With all due respect," she started, stealing his words from just moments ago. "I'm the leader and the leader is asking you to take a nap with her."
A heartwarming smile stretched across Jihoon's face as he stood from his chair and walked over to the couch. "You're so annoying sometimes," he mumbled as he sat on the far end of the couch, kicking his legs up onto the chair in front of him.
Bella rested her head on his lap, already beginning to doze off. "I know, but you still love me."
CHACHA & JUN
ChaCha was like Jihoon in almost every way possible, especially in the sense that whenever the group travelled, she never went out without a purpose. She'd much rather lay in bed all day and watch movies, order takeout, and surf the internet. Not that she didn't appreciate the opportunities she was given, she was just a natural homebody.
"You sure you don't want to come?" Gigi asked, staring at herself in the mirror at her finished outfit before turning towards her unnie, who was still in her pajamas in the bed even though it was 2 in the afternoon.
"I'm positive," she answered, her voice barely heard seeing as she had the comforter up to her nose. "Bring me something back, though."
Gigi laughed. "As expected. Alright, see ya later!"
As the maknae opened the door, Cha heard multiple people in hallway talking. Recognizable voices included Seungcheol, Minghao, Vernon, Soonyoung, and Madison. She assumed they were all going out with Gigi to the restaurant they had been talking about nonstop since they got here.
"You're not going with them?" a soft voiced asked from the doorway.
Cha glanced up from her phone, spotting Jun's head poking through. Without speaking, she shook her head.
"Jeonghan, Joshua, Bella, and Wonwoo are going to the aquarium, you know? You don't even want to go with them?"
Cha shook her head again.
"Oh, perfect! So I won't be alone then!"
Jun sprinted into the room in a tee shirt and sweatpants, diving at full speed onto Cha's bed.
"Yah, Jun!" she whined, flinching away as he landed at her feet. "I'm trying to relax, go bother someone else."
He pouted, slapping her foot through the comforter playfully. "But you're my favorite person to bother." He crawled up the length of her body, hovering over her with one hand rested on either side of her head.
"Junhui, I'm serious," she warned. "There's no cameras in here. I'll punch you if I have to."
But then she looked up and saw the sincere look in his eyes, and all of her annoyance melted away.
"Fine, you can stay...but if you wake me up, I really will hit you."
With a smile, Jun lowered himself so that he was laying right on top of her, his face nuzzled into the crook of her neck. He fell asleep quickly, and she followed soon after.
When Gigi came back, she made sure to take tons of pictures and kept then in her blackmail folder.
MADISON & CHAN
It was another early morning in the practice studio. BooSeokSoon were rehearsing their newest song while the other members kept themselves occupied with Going 17 or whatever else. While other members were on their phones or filming self-cams, Seungkwan and Minghao were refereeing a "sparring match" between Madison and Mingyu.
They went back and forth for a while before tiring themselves out and collapsing on the group, panting heavily.
"Ah, Gyu," Madison said between deep breaths. "You play too rough."
Mingyu giggled. "I'm sorry."
"Sometimes Gyu forgets how large he is," Minghao said, sitting cross cross between the two.
Madison rolled over onto her stomach, wincing as she did so. "Oh my god, you did something to my back. Either that, or I'm severely out of shape."
"Probably the second one, fatty," Chan snarked as he approached, gently kicking her shoulder.
She slapped his foot away as Mingyu and Minghao laughed. "Leave it to you to ruin my mood."
"I was kidding," Chan muttered, squatting next to her. "What hurts?"
"Everything."
"Do you need a massage?"
"Are you offering a massage?"
"Maybe."
"Then maybe."
Seungkwan threw a towel at Chan's face. "You just called her fat, you'd better give her a massage."
"I was joking!" Chan defended himself again, lifting himself slightly to straddle the back of Madison's legs. His fingers began rubbing soothing patterns into her back and hips. "I would never seriously call her a name, I love her."
Madison faked a gagging noise. "Ew, gross."
GIGI & JEONGHAN
Jeonghan often liked showing affection; we all knew that. But it was very rare that he showed it to Gigi. Not that they didn't like each other or anything, they were just an extremely rare combination for things like that.
When the '95 line and the maknae line decided to do a V-Live together, though, it was GiHan shippers paradise.
He just could not keep his hands away. He made her sit in his lap on the couch they all shared even though there was plenty of room for her to sit next to him.
About halfway through when she wanted to sit on the floor next to Joshua, the pout was evident on his face.
"Sit here," he said softly, spreading his legs to give her room.
Gigi obliged, sitting on the floor between Jeonghan's legs and in between Joshua and Chan.
While Seungcheol and Vernon talked about a new song the hip hop unit were working on, Jeonghan wrapped his arms around Gigi's shoulders and squeezed, hugging her close while nuzzling his nose into her hair.
Joshua started laughing. "Jeonghan, the commenters are asking why you're being so touchy today."
Seungcheol leaned forward to stare at the image on the screen, watching Gigi and Jeonghan with a small grin.
Jeonghan didn't even bother lifting his head from Gigi's when he answered, "Because I love my maknae."
"What about me?" Chan wondered, trying his best to look cute for his hyung.
Jeonghan shoved him out of frame. "Not you, go away."
