"April you should head home now" Leo told me as he came to stand next to my desk. I look up at him to see that his eyes were very red. He must be very tired, it's like a six hours difference from here and Italy, so if it's five here then it must be eleven o'clock down there. The timing doesn't bother me but obviously it bothers Leo.
"Maybe you should come home as well, you look exhausted" I tell him. He lets out a small laugh.
"As much as I would love to I can't. You go home, take Daila with you" He tells me. Right, Daila is going to be staying at my house. I've always wanted to show her my house so now she finally gets to see it!
"Wait....how are you going to get home if I take the car?" I ask him. He looks at me for a few seconds and squints his eyes muttering a 'shit. "How about we both go home together?" I tell him. He looks at me hopelessly and ends up nodding his head.
"That sounds like a good idea. So ever since where both going to be late I might as well tell Daila to head off home then" He tells me.
"Wait...home? I thought she was going to stay with us?"
"That's the thing. Daila apparently has family living here so they already offered her a place to stay" He tells me.
"Oh...ok. Alright I'll finish booking your appointments then" I tell him. He gives me a small and leaves the room. Looking back at the paperwork in front of me I let out a deep sigh feeling very tired. Why goes Leo have so many requests for meetings for? I feel sorry for him, so much meetings, conferences and a lot of business trips.
(10 minutes later)
A loud noise caught my attention as I realised that the phone of the office was ringing. Looking away from the paper work I noticed that Leo was already talking to someone else on the phone. I'll have to take this one then. Picking the phone up I put it against my ear.
"Hello, this is April Lily speaking how may I help you?"
"Wow! You sound very professional" The person on the other end says with a chuckle. Cameron!
"Cameron. Oh my God, how did you find out the number for the office?" I ask in pure delight. I haven't seen Cameron since he last came down to my house so warmth always fills me up to his voice.
"I have my ways" He said. I can just about imagine him smirking to himself.
"Cameron" I say warningly.
"Ok. Ok. I got it of Leonardo from the last time I came over to your house. Happy?"
"Very now you know that you shouldn't be calling me on this number right?"
"I know April but I wanted to talk to you about something important" He said his tone turning very seriously. This doesn't sound so good.
"About what?"
"Bryan called me up today" He told me. Without even thinking about it my hand was already clenching the phone and my heart beat seemed to quicken.
"W..why? Why did he call you?" I asked him quickly.
"He told me that he saw you today and that he wanted to ask you some questions but you just walked off apparently. Look April, he's starting to remember and that's a good thing" Cameron told me excitingly. Leaning back on the chair I place the pen down on the table and just concentrate on Leo who was still talking on the phone.
"Cameron can we please talk about this later" I say. My mood seemed to suddenly change from being normal to depressed. I wish I was the one who lost my memory not him, so I wouldn't have to always be on the urge of breaking down all the time.
"But April, this is good news" Cameron argued.
"Cam...not now...please? I'm at work; can we discuss this in person?" After a few seconds of silence from Cameron his deep breath was what made me feel relieved.
"Ok. I'll see you tomorrow then" He tells me.
"No...not tomorrow. The weekend would be better I start work at nine and finish at eight every day. It'll be impossible for me. I'll see you on a Saturday Cameron. Bye" I place the phone back down without even waiting for Cameron's response. That's not a conversation I was hoping to have with Cameron.

"Leo, dude I'm heading home now" A gorgeous angel like voice said. My ears were immediately caught up as I looked to my right to see none other than Mr Cooper walking through the doors. He must have sensed me looking at him because he looked my way and gave me a small smile. Immediately I looked back at my desk feeling my cheeks heat up. Why is he having this effect on me? I'll say it a dozen times but I've never felt this way before and it seems too good to be true. Can Mr Cooper be the one who will be the one to replace Bryan in my heart? No....No! That's impossible! Bryan may not know me but he'll never be replaced.
"Sure. It's been a long day for you as well" Leo replied back to him. I pretended to write on a blank sheet of paper but realistically I was listening to their conversation. "Um....Cal can you do me a favour?" I hear Leo say much more quietly. Slowly, I looked up from the desk to see Leo speaking away in Mr Cooper's ear. Wonder what he's saying to him.
"Miss Lily?" I hear Mr Cooper say in a sing-song voice. I think my heart just did an actual back flip, if that's even possible. I fully look up to see he was giving me a genuine smile making me return it on my own.
"Yes?"
"Pack your stuff because I'm going to give you a ride home" He tells me. I look at him with raised eyebrows then looking over at Leo. He locked eyes with me and got up from his chair coming over towards me.
"Leo, I thought we were going to go home together?" I tell him quietly once he's gotten to my desk. He placed his hand on the desk and leaned down closer to me.
"I know but I'm going to be held up for a bit longer and you must be hungry anyway so Callum will drop you off home. Don't worry he is practically harmless" He tells me with a wink. I roll my eyes at him as he moves away from the desk.
"Ok then" I tell Leo. Leo smiles and walks back towards his desk. I gather all of the papers on the desk and pile them into a corner so when I come back in tomorrow I know the order of what I've done so far. Getting up from the chair I tuck it in the desk and slowly walk towards the hottie in front of my eyes a.k.a Mr Cooper.
"Come on Miss Lily, chop chop" He said with his hands. I walk a little faster until I'm standing right next to him.
"See you at home" Leo tells me with a wave of a hand. I wave back at him and leave the room with Mr Cooper. He was way ahead of me as I tried to catch up with his fast pace. Why do guys have to walk so fast? He stopped in front of the elevators and pressed the button waiting for the doors to open. I stood at the other end of the door and just watched him before my eyes. A guy as good looking as him should be illegal. I sound so cliché but I can't help myself. He must have noticed me staring yet again because this time he caught my eyes.
"So April.....can I call you April?" He asked.
"Y...of course" I tell him. He smiles that beautiful smile and crosses his arms over his chest making the arms of his blazer tighten a little making some of his muscles show. I guess the inside is even more beautiful.
"So....obviously you caught my attention when I realised that you used to go out with my ex-boss. Um...how did you guys meet each other anyway?" He asks me. I could feel the colour from my face completely drop off as I looked at him in panic. He wants me to tell him how I met Bryan; I can't exactly say he was my teacher! The only person who knows that is Daila and Leo. I can't afford to tell Mr Cooper any of this.
"I....I don't exactly want to talk about it" I mummer quietly to him. He seems to have heard my response because he gave me a small smile and shook his head as an 'ok'. Leaning my back against the elevator walls the coldness hit my spine even though it was covered by the material of my shirt.
"You and Leo seem to be close" He asks me after a few seconds of awkward silence. A smile forms on my face as I still remember the interview I had with Leo, the amount of times he backed me up and how nice he is of a person.
"You can say that" I responded to him.
"And I can see that" He replied to me with a chuckle. He sounds so nice when he laughs, like a melody I want to hear until I get tired of it. "Leo tells me how much of an amazing worker you are, and I'm not exactly surprised by his comments" This time I fully look at Leo and just stare at his face as he looks at me as well.
"Why weren't you surprised?"
"Well, I can see it in your eyes" He said taking a few steps towards me. "The dedication" A few steps were taken towards me. My heart seemed to rapidly increase as it seemed like I was in a race and was trying to overcome the difference between gaining and losing, and I don't know why but this is what it seemed like to me in this situation as well. "The hard work" Another step and now he was standing right in front of me. "Commitment" And this time he put his arm at the side of my head so it could lean on the wall. My breathing increased even more as he just stared down at me. What's going on? What is he going to do to me? "And..." He leaned down a bit more until his lips were directly opposite mine. I find myself automatically closing my eyes and waiting for something magical to happen. I don't think I've ever felt like this before....so sexually disturbed. "The time" I hear him say and breath out on my lips. They smelt of mint, nice mint, like chewing gum mint.
"Um...sorry to disturb" I hear another voice. My eyes immediately open as Callum quickly moves away from me as I see a confused man standing outside the elevator doors.
"Sorry" I tell him as I quickly make my way out of the elevator. I can't believe I was about to kiss my bosses best friend and my ex-boyfriend's ex-worker! I've never felt so desperate before, he's like a drug which I want to take and even though I know the outcomes of it I still want to have it. It was never like this with Bryan...ever! So why with Mr Cooper out of all people? What makes him so different to Bryan and what does he hold in him?
"April wait up!" I hear him yell to me. Finally taking the decency to look at my surroundings I realise that I'm already out of the building. Turning my head around I see Leo running towards me from inside, he opens the door and walks towards me this time. "You sure walk fast" He tells me. I give him a small smile which he returns. "So, my car is just round the corner so let's go" He says.
"Yeah, let's" I stay back so I can let Mr Cooper lead the way as I don't know which way round and what car it is. He seems to understand what I'm trying to say and walks ahead of me first. The sky's already turned pitch black, how late did I stay till? I silently walked behind Mr Cooper not bothering to even make a single sound. All I did was watch him walk, call me a stalker but the way he walks is quite interesting. Every now and then he'll look to his side and just watch the cars go pass on the road, he keeps his hands glued in his pockets while he is walking and walks with his head held high as he holds respect which is what it seems like to me.
"Ok, my car" He tells me. He stops in front of a red car. Oh my God! This is the new Audi TT. He unlocks the car and opens the passenger door. "After you" He said placing his hand at the top of the car door. I think I must have drooled a little then and their.
"I really like your car" I tell him.
"I can see that, you got a bit of a drool at the side of your mouth" He said motioning the side of my face on his own face. My eyes suddenly widen as I quickly try to remove any sort of drool seen. Why do I always embarrass myself?
"I'm only joking April but thank you" He tells me laughing. Rolling my eyes at his behaviour I walk towards the car and carefully sit on the seat as he shuts the door behind me and runs in front of the car to get to the other side. The car even smells like him....like lemon and lime. I really like lemon and lime. Mr Cooper gets in the car and starts the engine and gets off the road safely once a few cars have gone past.
"Mr Cooper, thank you for driving me home" I tell him.
"No worries April and don't call me Mr Cooper it makes me think I'm my dad's age" He said. Laughing a little he laughs as well. "Just call me Callum or Cal like Leo calls me" He says.
"I'll stick with Callum for now" I say.
"Fine by me" He responds back. Next thing you know me and Callum are talking like we've been friends for such a long time. We have lots in common and it's great to talk to someone so openly. "Alright April, we are here" He tells me. Before I knew it I'm sitting right in front of my house. That was a very quick ride.
"Wow, that was quick" I tell him. He nods his head and leans back onto his leather seat. I don't want to say goodbye to him right now, not like this. We just seem to stare at each other until I finally decided to break this tensed air. "Do you um...want to come in maybe" I ask. He just looks into both of my eyes as I wait for his response.
"I would like that" He tells me.
"Come on then"
ALRIGHT, WHAT DOES EVERYONE THINK OF MR COOPER OR SHALL I SAY CALLUM SO FAR?
