Randhir came back to the mansion and went to his room, he was lost in his thoughts when Rajveer came there.
"What's the time Randhir, yeh waqt hain ghar aane ka?" Rajveer asked sternly.
"Please bhai not now!" Randhir said when threw his blazer.
"What do you mean by not now! Kaal puri raat tu gayeb tha, airport vi nehi aaya, aur aaj din bhar kaha tha tu?" Rajveer asked when Randhir kept mum.
"Mom kitni upset hain pata hain! Aaise late night ko ghar lautna, puri puri raat gayeb rahena, Sanyukta ko pata chalega toh usse kaisa lagega!" Rajveer asked annoyingly.
"Toh main keya karu bhai, aur Sanyukta ko kaisa lagega usse mujhe keya! Ghar chhodke jate waqt keya ussne mere ware mein socha tha jo main usske ware mein sochu! Wo jee rahi hain na aapni life aapni khushi se toh main kyu nehi?" Randhir let out his frustration when Rajveer looked at him surprisingly.
"Randhir you are drunk, sharab pee hain tune?" Rajveer asked shockingly thus Randhir kept mum.
"Tujhe pata hain na mom ko yeh bilkul pasand nehi, aagar mom ko pata chal jayega tho..."
"Toh keya bhai, mom mujhe ghar se nikal dengi hain na, toh nikalne do na, aaise vi kisiko meri keya padi hain! Ussne mujhe aapni zindegi se nikal diya aap log mujhe ghar se nikal do." His voice broke when Rajveer looked at him confusingly.
"You are not in your sense Randhir, hum subha baat karenge, good night." Rajveer said and left when Randhir fall on the bed.
"Haan haan chale jau, sab chale jau, mujhe koi nehi chahiye!" And he dozed off like that.

Some days rolled on but there was no improvement in their relationship. Neither Randhir called her nor tried to meet her or convince her again. Whole day he stayed at his home due to study but as soon as the evening crept he left for that bar everyday. He went and sat at that corner table each day to listening her voice only. He stayed there during her performance and after that when she left for her home taking an auto he also came back to the mansion. It's became his daily routine now a days.
One night after the performance Roja was waiting for an auto when Randhir was watching her from a distance. When Roja take some steps and went towards Randhir's car. She knocked at the car glass though he opened it.
"Tum!" Randhir was surprised.
"Well surprise toh mujhe hona chahiye. I don't know that I have a personal bodyguard!" She said sternly when Randhir looked down.
"No it's not like that, I don't stalk you at all." He felt embarrassed.
"Aap haar roz yeha kiska wait karte hain, ke phirse kuch gunde aayenge, mujhe chhedenge aur aap ekbaar phirse meri help karenge?" Roja asked mockingly thus Randhir lowered his lashes.
"No it's not like that, I just want your safety or nothing else." Randhir replied hesitantly.
"But why me, I'm not the only girl who is singing at the bar!" She asked next thus Randhir looked at her.
"Why you doing such a job, keya majburi hain tumhari?" Randhir asked straight.
"Keya aap mujhe mere ghar chhod sakte hain?" She asked after sometimes thus Randhir got surprised. She never asked anyone for lift. He nodded positively and Roja get inside the car.
"Your address?" Randhir asked starts the car and she gave him the address. The journey was silent when Randhir said.
"I don't have any wrong intention miss I just want your safety or nothing else." Randhir said again.
"Safety! Am I safe with you also?" She asked next when Randhir got speechless, he never expected this kind of question.
"Umm....what are you talking about?" He stammered.
"No you are a stranger for me also so why should I trust you?" She asked coldly.
"Then why you asked for the lift?" He asked confusingly.
"You will know that soon." She replied slowly.
Soon their car reached at a small house and she came out from the car.
"Come with me." Roja said thus Randhir came out from the car. Roja pressed the bell when an old lady about 60 years opened the door.
"You are again late Roja!" The old lady said and Randhir get it that her name is Roja and Rosy is a fake name.
"Sorry granny wo office mein over time tha." Roja said hugging her granny.
"Who is this man?" Her granny asked looking at Randhir.
"He is a client granny, late ho geya issi liye mujhe lift diya." Roja said looking at Randhir when he kept mum.
"Tumhare call center mein girls ko vi drop karne ka system nehi hain, very bad." Her granny said when Randhir got surprised.
"Okay yeh sab baad mein, pehele bolo Peter kaha hain?" Roja asked slowly.
"Aapne room mein, tumhara wait karte karte soo geya hain." Granny said annoyingly and left from there when Randhir asked.
"Call center, that means tumne aapne granny ko saach nehi bataya?" He asked confusingly.
"No granny can't take it so I lied." She replied.
"And who is Peter?" Randhir asked again.
"Come with me." Roja said and both came in a room. There was a 12 years old boy who was sleeping peacefully.
"Peter my brother." Roja said.
From the very first sight Randhir can understand that the boy was seriously ill. He can saw his pale face, bald head, unhealthy skin. The boy looks too weak at his sleepy state.
"What happened to him?" He asked confusingly.
"CANCER." Came her whisper when Randhir froze there. Cancer! the word made Randhir speechless that instant.
"Ek hasta khelta normal sa bachcha, life ne usske saath kaisa prank kiya na!" Roja said caressing her brother's sleepy face.
"When did you came to know about this?" Randhir asked slowly.
"Some months before. One day Peter came back from the school with high fever, we called the doctor but fever har do din mein wapas aah jata tha, phir humne specialist ko dikhaya toh unhone bola ke C.A.N.C.E.R." Roja almost stammered.
"How is he now?" Randhir asked hesitantly.
"Not good, treatment is continuing but it's too costly that's why I have to do the job as a bar singer." Roja said and wiped her tears.
"I-I am sorry." Randhir felt guilty.
"No it's okay, you don't have to be sorry. You are so much eager to know the reason behind my job so I told you the truth." Roja replied coldly when Randhir get mum.
"If you want I can help you. My brother-in-law is a doctor, he knows all the good doctors and specialist too, if you want I'll talk to him." Randhir said eagerly thus Roja looked at him.
"And what do you want in return?" She asked getting up from the bed.
"Nothing, mujhe keya chahiye hoga?" Randhir asked confusingly.
"You want to do the favor on me and don't get anything in return, strange!" She said sarcastically when Randhir looked at her confusingly.
"You know what there was nothing much differences between you and those people. You are worst from them even. Their intentions are clearly visible in their eyes but you, you tried to hide them behind your niceness. What do you think that I'm a bar singer so I'm an easy catch and you will get me like this. You are pathetic!" Roja blurted out those words when Randhir clenched his jaw, his face became stiffen when his hand forming into a fist.
"That's enough just shut your mouth lady before I lost my cool." Randhir said in an icy cold voice thus Roja stopped.
"What do you think about yourself haan, tum koi swarg ki apsara nehi jiske piche main pagal ho geya hu! Mana ke uss bar mein sab cheep log aate hain, lekin isska yeh matlab nehi ke tum mere ware mein itna cheep sochogi! Aare jante hi keya ho tum mere ware mein? I want to help you genuinely, koi galat irada nehi hain mera and for your kind information I'm a married man and I can't cheat on my wife, never ever, understand!" Randhir said furiously when Roja looked at him confusingly. Her eyes were showering hatred for him sometimes before but now there were lots of curiosity instead of hatred.
"Then why did you came at the bar every night and left after I'm leaving from there?" She asked confusingly.
"For your safety, told you." Randhir replied slowly.
"But why?" Roja asked shockingly.
"Don't ask me, I don't know." Randhir said lowering his gaze.
"But what about your wife?" Roja asked confusingly.
"She left me." Came his whisper when Roja became shocked to heard this.
"What, but why?" She asked shockingly when Randhir got tongue tied.
"It's too late, I have to go." He said slowly and left from there quickly when Roja was lost in his words.

Randhir came back to the mansion, as soon as he entered at his room saw Renuka sitting on the couch.
"Mom aap yeha, iss waqt?" Randhir asked surprisingly.
"Surprise toh mujhe hona chahiye tumhari iss new life style ko dekh kar. Sanyukta yeha nehi hain toh tumhe mann mani karne ki aazadi nehi mill geya hain Randhir. Yeh mat bhulo aabhi tumhare parents exist karte hain." She said sternly.
"Mom haar baat mein Sanyukta ko bich mein mat laiye, please. Wo aapni mann mani kare toh sahi aur main kuch vi karu toh galat!" Randhir said annoyingly.
"Sanyukta ne koi mann mani nehi ki hain, usse ghar jane ka permission maine diya hain, isska yeh matlab nehi tum aadhi raat ko sharab pike ghar aau!" Renuka said coldly.
"Mom maine koi sharab nehi pee hain." Randhir replied looking at Renuka.
"Toh phir shayed tumhare kapdo mein se smell aah rahi hain! Tum jaha jate ho, jinse milte ho shayed drink karna unnki aadat hain aur saukh vi!" Renuka said sarcastically thus Randhir lowered his lashes.
"Maine kuch galat nehi kiya hain mom." Randhir said slowly.
"Galat logo ke saath rahoge toh wo vi karne lagoge, aab soo jau kaal se exam hain tumhara." Renuka said and left when Randhir remembered his mom's words.
"Wo galat nehi hain mom, she is not wrong at all, she is bound to do it. But now I'm with her, I'll help her aur tab shayed mera guilt kuch kam ho jaye!" He said in mind.

Next morning their exams will be start. Randhir was getting ready when Renuka came to his room with aarti. Randhir take the aarti and ate prasad when Renuka gave him a packet.
"Yeah Sanyukta ko de dena, iss mein puja ka phool aur prasad dono hain." Renuka said thus Randhir nodded silently and left for the college.
He reached at the college and looked for his friends and saw them busy in last minute revision.
"Sanyukta ko dekha tum logo ne?" Randhir asked.
"Aare yaar aaj exam ke din toh padai karne de, aur tu vi biwi ka face dekhne ki wajaye book ko dekh le, kaam aayega!" Yoyo said as he looked so tensed thus Randhir shook his head and went to searching Sanyukta. Randhir came to the locker room where he bumped with Laila.
"Sorry." Randhir said slowly.
"It's okay." Laila replied normally.
"Have you seen Sanyukta anywhere?" Randhir asked next.
"She is your wife I guess so you have to know about her whereabouts!" Laila said teasingly thus Randhir turned to left just then Sanyukta came there. She twitched her nose to saw them together and went near her locker.
"Sanyukta listen." Randhir called her when went towards her.
"Listen Randhir I don't want to talk to you so better you leave." She said irritatingly.
"Even I also want the same, but mom gave it for you so I came here, hold it." Randhir said when gave her the packet and about to go but stopped next and turned to her.
"All the best for your exam." He said to her thus she looked at him surprisingly when Randhir left from there next without uttering any other words. Sanyukta opened the packet and saw the prasad, she smiled a little.
"Keya baat hain yeh smiley kiss liye?" Kaustaki came and asked.
"Maa ne prasad bheja hain aab mera exam definitely achchha jayega." Sanyukta smiled brightly.
"Aare tera exam toh waise vi achchha jayega but mera keya!" Kaustaki asked nervously.
"Aare tera paper vi achchha jayega, yeh le prasad." And they ate the prasad and left for exam hall when Laila watched them from a distance.
"Let's see Sanyukta tum yeh exam kaise deti ho!" And Laila smirked devilishly.
Bell rings and all came to the examination hall. Randhir entered and saw Sanyukta was sitting on her seat. Their eyes met for a second and Sanyukta looked away when Randhir went to his seat. Peon came and started distributing the answer sheets to the students. Just then Laila stood up and called the professor.
"Sir Sanyukta is trying to copy." Laila said thus Sanyukta got shocked. Randhir also get surprised, everyone looked at her.
"No sir I don't do anything." Sanyukta get up and replied.
"Sir she lied, you please check her copy." Laila said again.
"Haan sir yeh dekhiye, I don't do anything wrong." Sanyukta said and gave her answer sheet to the professor when a chit fall from her answer sheet. Sanyukta was shocked.
"Sir yeh mere nehi hain, I swear." She was shocked to saw the chit.
"Sanyukta you have to come with me to the principle's office." The professor said.
"But sir I did nothing." Sanyukta's eyes got moist.
"Sorry Sanyukta but it's not in my hand, you have to come with me." The professor said.
"But sir Sanyukta aaisa nehi kar sakti, aap jante hain usse!" Randhir spoke up next.
"Sorry Randhir but main kuch nehi kar sakta, Sanyukta tumhe mere saath principle ki office chalna hoga." Professor said and Sanyukta nodded helplessly when Laila smirked devilishly.
"Sanyukta you slapped me that day na, aab dekho maine kaisa thappad mara tumhe wo vi sabke samne!" Laila said in mind.
They came to the principal's office when Randhir also followed them.
"Sir maine aaisa kuch nehi kiya, aap jante hain mujhe!" Sanyukta said helplessly.
"Am also don't expect this from you Sanyukta!" The principal said.
"Sir main aaisa kyu karungi aur sir yeh chits vi meri nehi hain, kisine yeh plan kiya hain, I think koi mujhe frame kar raha hain!" Sanyukta said with broken voice when something strikes in Randhir's mind and he left from there quickly.
"I'm sorry Sanyukta but it's a serious offense. I don't allow you to give the examination." The principal said firmly.
"No sir, please sir, mera pura saal barbaad ho jayega!" Sanyukta pleaded when tears rolled down from her eyes.
"You have to think it before Sanyukta, now I can't do anything I have to give answers to the trustees too." The principal said again.
"Answer aap nehi answer koi aur dega sir." Randhir said when entered with the peon, he was grabbing the peon's collar.
"What's all this?" The principal asked when Randhir pushed the peon.
"Aapke saare sawal ka jawab yeh dega!" Randhir replied when grabbed the peon's neck tightly.
"Bol Sanyukta ke answer sheet mein wo chits kaise aaye?" Randhir asked furiously.
"Maine kuch nehi kiya, wo unhone mujhe aaisa karne ke liye bola tha." The peon replied became panicked.
"Kisne kaha tha tumhe?" The principal asked this time.
"Main unnka naam nehi bata sakta." The peon said nervously.
"Bolta hain ke du aur!" Randhir said furiously when the peon gulped hard.
"Batata hu, batata hu..." The peon got panicked to saw Randhir's anger.
"Wo-wo Laila madam ne mujhe kaha tha aaisa karne ke liye, unhone mujhe 5000 rupeeya vi diye thay yeh kaam karne ke liye." The peon spat out the whole truth when everyone got shocked.
"Laila!" Sanyukta was still in shock.
"Himmat kaise huyi tumhari aaisi ghatiya kaam karne ki? Tumhe toh police mein de dena chahiye. Aaj tumhari wajase main Sanyukta jaisi ek brilliant student ko nikalne wala tha!" The principal said angrily when the peon kept mum.
"Main tumhe aabhi issi waqt naukri se nikalta hu!" Principle said sternly when the peon got panicked.
"Nehi nehi sir, aaisa mat kijiye, garib aadmi hu wo vi baal-bachche wala, hum sab mar jayenge!" The peon cried holding principal's leg.
"Yeh tumhe pahele sochna chahiye tha, aab aapni sakal leke dur ho jau mere nazro ki samne se." The principal said firmly when the peon kept begging.
"Sir maaf kar dijiye innko, mujhe koi shikayet nehi hain innse." Sanyukta said slowly when all looked at her surprisingly.
"Yeh tum keya bol rahi ho Sanyukta, issne itni badi galti ki, isski wajase tumhara pura saal barbaad hone wala tha aur tum bol rahi ho isse chhod dene ke liye?" Principle asked surprisingly.
"Haan sir inhone aaj ek galti kar dala lekin aagar aap inhen naukri se nikal denge toh yeh shayed humesha ke liye galat raste par chale jayenge. Aapko nehi lagta ke aapko inhen ek mauka dena chahiye sudharne ka!" Sanyukta said when Randhir looked at her surprisingly.
"Bhaiya aap yeh galat kaam kyu kar rahe ho aapne biwi aur bachcho ke liye na, lekin aagar unhen yeh sab pata chal geya toh wo log aapse sirf nafrat karenge aur kuch nehi." Sanyukta said slowly.
"Mujhe maaf kar dijiye madam, main aapne bachcho ki kasam khake bolta hu ke phir kabhi koi galat kaam nehi karunga." The peon was sobbing badly.
"Sir inhen jane dijiye, maine inhen maaf kar diya." Sanyukta said thus the principal nodded positively.
"Main tumhe sirf Sanyukta ke wajase maaf kar raha hu, jau aur aage se koi vi complain aaya toh wo tumhara aakhri din hoga iss college mein." Principle said thus the peon nodded silently and left from there.
"Sir Laila ka keya, usne Sanyukta ke khilaf itna bada conspiracy ki, usse toh punishment milni hi chahiye." Randhir said firmly thus the principal nodded.
"Both of you come with me." Principle said when Randhir and Sanyukta followed the principal. They came to the exam hall, all were looking at them curiously specially at Sanyukta when principal said.
"Aabhi kuch der pehele yeha jo kuch vi huya sab tum logo ne dekha, lekin saach wo nehi hain. Aasli baat main tum logo ko batata hu." Principle stopped for a moment when everyone looking at him curiously.
"Kisine Sanyukta ki answer sheet mein wo chits pre planed kiya tha usse ex fail karne ke liye. Jisne wo chits plan kiya tha usne humare saamne sab kuch saach saach bol diya, aur aapne dusre partner ke naam vi, jiske kahene par usne aaisa kiya." Principle said when Laila started sweating.
"Main soch vi nehi sakta ke mera koi student aaisa criminal minded vi ho sakta hain! I felt ashamed to be your principal." Principle said with a painful voice.
"Sir wo koyn hain aur usne aaisa kyu kiya?" Kaustaki asked curiously.
"Miss Laila aap khud sabke samne aake batayengi ke aapne yeh sab kyu kiya?" Principle asked coldly when everyone looked at Laila when she lowered her lashes.
"Laila tumne yeh sab kyu kiya, I never expect this from you! Your dad also a trustee of this college and you did this, shame on you!" Principle said in disbelief.
"I'm sorry sir." Laila said with moist eyes.
"I'm sorry Laila but I have to inform your dad, what you did that's a serious offense you know. Sanyukta ex fail ho jati, uska pura saal waste ho jata!" Principle said when Laila looked down.
"Sir isse vi ex fail kar dijiye, isski wajase Sanyukta ex fail ho jati, isse toh jail mein hona chahiye." Kaustaki said glaring at Laila.
"Haan haan isse ex fail kar dijiye." Some other students said also, tears came out from Laila's eyes due to humiliation.
"Sorry Laila but I have to..." Before principal said Sanyukta interrupt.
"No sir, aap please Laila ko ex fail mat kijiye, usska pura saal waste ho jayega." Sanyukta said when everyone looked at her so as Laila.
"But Sanyukta it's a crime, usse saza milni hi chahiye." Principle said surprisingly.
"Nehi sir, aaisa karne se uski puri life barbaad ho jayegi aur main nehi chahati ke meri wajase kisiki life barbaad ho jaye, aap usse ek mauka de dijiye please." Sanyukta said when Randhir got surprised.
"Tum sabko maaf kar sakti ho, sabko ek chance de sakti ho, bass mujhe nehi!" Randhir said in mind.
"Sir please." Sanyukta said thus principal nodded positively.
"Okay Sanyukta as you wish. Laila main sirf aur sirf Sanyukta ki kahene par tumhare khilaf koi action nehi le raha hu but next time aagar koi vi complain mili then no one can help you, understand?" Principle said thus Laila nodded positively.
"Okay Sanyukta and Randhir tum log aapna exam do aur jo kuch vi huya uske liye main tum dono ko 30 minutes grace time deta hu." Randhir and Sanyukta both mouthed a thank you when principal left.

After exam Sanyukta was about to leave the exam hall when she bumped with Randhir as he also about to leave.
"I'm sorry." Randhir said slowly when Sanyukta looked at him.
"Thank you." She said normally.
"It's okay, you don't need to say thanks." Randhir replied slowly when Sanyukta said.
"Yeah, on a second thought I don't need to say thank you. Waise yeh plan kiska tha, pehele mujhe phasana phir bachake hero ban jana! I think tumhara hi hoga, kyu ki Laila ka brain itna sharp nehi hain, dekha na khud hi phas geyi!" Sanyukta said sarcastically when Randhir's face lost all it's colour but that for a moment and next his eyes got burnt.
"Enough Sanyukta, enough of your accusation! I was silent cause I was guilty but not anymore, aab main tumhe koi vi clarification nehi dunga, tumhe jo samajhna hain tum samajh sakti ho!" Randhir said coldly and left the place immediately when Sanyukta looked at his retraining figure.
Randhir went to the parking and about to sat in his car when his eyes fall on Laila, he gritted his teeth and went near her.
"How dare you playing that kind of dirty game with Sanyukta?" Randhir yanked her elbow thus Laila got shocked.
"Wo Randhir..." She stammered.
"Laila listen to me very carefully, I'm warning you for the last time stay away from Sanyukta. Aur aagar phirse koi dirty politics ki toh main tumhare dad ko sab kuch saach saach baata dunga, phir wo tumhara keya karenge janti ho na?" Randhir said furiously thus Laila nodded became panicked.
"I won't do anything but please don't tell dad about it." She pleaded thus Randhir left her elbow with a jerk and left the place immediately.
