Next morning. Sanyukta gets up with a headache. It's a result of her continuous crying. She looked at Randhir once who was sleeping soundly and dashed to the washroom.
She came out after taking a shower and started combing her hair just then she heard a knock at the door. Randhir's sleep got disturbed by the knock and he also got up. Sanyukta opened the door and saw an attendant standing there with a coffee tray in her hand.
"Bahurani coffee, aap ke aur Randhir baba ke liye." The attendant entered and kept the tray on the table.
"Lekin main toh chai peeti hu!" Sanyukta said slowly.
"Ji chai!" The attendant said surprisingly.
"Kya hua?" Sanyukta asked her.
"Ji wo...wo yaha toh koi chai nahi peeta, sab coffee peete hai!" The attendant replied.
"Ohh, thik hai tum jau main coffee pee lungi." Sanyukta replied and the attendant left.
"Ohh hello Miss Drama Queen iss ghar mein sirf servants chai peete hai, obviously you don't know. But tum pee sakti ho kyun ki tum bhi toh unhi ki class mein aati ho!" He mocked her and took his cup.
Sanyukta totally ignored him and took her cup. She took a sip and made a face as she felt it was a little bitter.
"Kyun achchha nahi laga? I know tumhari level ki baat nahi hai, ya phir main ye kahu ke tum humari level ki nahi ho." He smirked at her when she silently sipped her coffee as her head was aching badly.
"Kya hua, chup kyu ho? Koi jawab nahi hai!" He was too impatient to see her silent.
"Dekho sindoor mitana aasan hai lekin rishta todna nahi! I am still your husband and you are still my wife!" He said looking at her empty parting.
"Mom ko kya kahogi and what about your family?" He smirked at her but she kept mum.
"Koi jawab nahi diya, aaj iss ko hua kya hai!" Randhir murmured under his breath.
Sanyukta was sipping her coffee silently and after finished she left the room quickly when Randhir sat there dumbstruck. Sanyukta came out from the room and on the way she met with Anjali.
"Sanyukta ye lo prasad." Anjali forwarded a sweet to her and Sanyukta took it.
"Aare Sanyukta tumhari mang khali kyun hai?" Anjali asked, looking at her parting.
"Wo-wo bhabhi main bhul gayi thi!" Sanyukta stammered.
"Sanyukta ye bhi koi bhulne ki cheez hai! Mom dekhengi toh naraz ho jayengi." Anjali scolded her a little. Just then Randhir came there. He followed Sanyukta to see her weird behavior.
"Kya hua bhabhi?" He asked curiously.
"Achchha hua Randhir tum aa gaye, ye sindoor Sanyukta ko pehna do." She pointed towards the sindoor which was kept on the thali which Anjali brought from puja ghar. As soon as Anjali said this Sanyukta's eyes widened.
"Nahi bhabhi main baad mein laga lungi." Sanyukta said hesitatingly.
"Baad mein nahi abhi. Randhir jaldi se pehna do isse pehle ki mom dekh le!" Anjali said next.
"Ji bhabhi." Randhir said and looked at Sanyukta's helpless face and smirked inwardly. He smeared his finger with sindoor and forcefully rubbed it on her parting.
"Aare 7 janmo ka saath hai hamara, tumhi ne kaha tha na wifey! Toh phir itni asani se tumhe kaise chhod du! PATI hu tumhara, phir chahe tum mano ya na mano, lekin sab ke samne tumhe pretend toh karna hi padega na wifey!" He whispered near her ear and smirked at her when she glared at him hard.
"Aare Randhir maine toh tumhe Sanyukta ko sirf sindoor pehenane ko bola tha, lekin tumne toh use sindoor se lag bhag nahela hi diya!" Anjali said in a teasing way.
"Kyun bhabhi jyada ho gaya kya?" He asked, looking at Sanyukta's parting.
"Thodaaa sa!" Anjali chuckled.
"Aare bhabhi it's a signature mark of Randhir Singh Shekhawat, toh sabse alag toh hoga hi na!" He smirked at Sanyukta who already glared at him.
Anjali laughed when her eyes fell on Arpita who stood a little far and watched them silently.
"Aare Arpita aao na, waha khadi kyun ho?" Anjali asked thus she came forward. Arpita came and stood beside Randhir.
"Ye lo prasad." Anjali gave her the prasad.
Arpita takes that but doesn't eat as her eyes are glued on Sanyukta only. She continuously looks at Sanyukta's parting. There was a raze in her eyes, Sanyukta felt uneasy under her gaze.
"Kya dekh rahi ho Arpita, tumhare friend ka kaam hai ye!" Anjali said thus Arpita looked at Randhir.
"But aise achanak!" She forced a smile and asked.
"Wo Sanyukta sindoor lagana bhul gayi thi toh maine Randhir ko kaha lagane ko. dekha usne kya haal kiya Sanyukta ka!" Anjali faked anger thus Randhir smiled.
"Sanyukta tum ek middle class family se belong karti ho na jaha par morals, values inn sab cheezon ko importance diya jata hai. Tumhari mom ne tumhe sikhaya toh hoga hi toh phir tum bhul kaise gayi?" Arpita said in a sarcastic way thus Sanyukta's face fell. Anjali rolled her eyes while listening to her.
"Arpita kya bol rahi ho! Kisse kaise baat karte hai malum nahi tumhe?" Anjali scolded Arpita.
"Nahi bhabhi wo mera matlab tha ke aunty naraz ho jayengi, that's why I said. Otherwise I don't have any intention to hurt her, sorry Sanyukta." Arpita made a poker face thus Sanyukta smiled.
"No it's okay." Sanyukta managed to say. Just then Randhir said.
"Aare jab main hu toh Sanyukta ko kya jarurat hai khud sindoor pahenne ki! Main pehana dunga na apni biwi ko sindoor. Kyun Arpi khubsoorat laag rahi hai na meri biwi?" He caged Sanyukta's waist from behind unaware of someone's burning heart.
"Aaj tum sindoor lagana bhul gayi, kal ye sindoor tumhe bhul jayega Sanyukta! Mujhse meri Ron ko chhin kar tum kabhi khush nahi rahe sakti! Main tumhe kabhi khush rehne nahi dungi Sanyukta!" Arpita said in mind and clenched her jaw to see them so close.
There Sanyukta started struggling to become free from Randhir's cage when he whispered near her ear, "stop struggling wifey and for god sake please smile, otherwise all are doubting us."
"Ahem...ahem..." All turned and saw Rajveer standing there. Seeing him, Randhir left Sanyukta and she rushed towards their room.
"Kya ho raha tha yahan!" Rajveer asked in a teasing way.
"ROMANCE!" Anjali also replied in a teasing way.
"Your brother has gone mad, he is totally mad at his wife's love." Anjali mocked him.
"Kya bhabhi! Umm...main abhi aaya!" Randhir was about to go when Rajveer caught his hand.
"Sanyukta will come but now you come with us." He said to him.
"But bhai!" Randhir tried to say something when Rajveer interrupted.
"Aare 'Joru ka Ghulam' chal mere saath!" And he dragged him along with him.
Sanyukta came to their room and checked herself in the mirror. Her orbs widened to see Randhir's deed. He put the sindoor from her forehead to the end of her parting.
"Bloody MCP! Har waqt sirf apna chalana hota hai!" She took a tissue and cleaned her forehead then composed herself and went towards the downstairs.
Sanyukta came down and everybody eyed at her parting.
"Aare beta aaj bahut khubsurat lag rahi ho." Renuka said looking at her and smiled thus Sanyukta also smiled in reply.
"Waise mom aaj devar ji ne khud devrani ji ko sindoor pehnaya hai." Anjali said in a teasing way thus Randhir rolled his eyes.
"Kya bhabhi, Sanyukta bhul gayi thi sindoor pahenna aur phir aap hi ne toh kaha pahenane ko issi liye, warna mujhe kya!" He made a poker face.
"Achchha aur wo kya tha, signature of Randhir Singe Shekhawat and bla...bla...bla?" Anjali raised her brows.
"Aare wo toh aap log hi kahte ho na ke patni ki sindoor ki rekha jitni lambi hoti hai pati ki jivan ki rekha bhi utni hi lambi hoti hai! That's why, warna mujhe koi shauk nahi hai offseason holi khelne ka." All chuckled at his reply when he made a poker face again.
"Abhi shaadi karke do din bhi nahi hui aur nayi naveli dulhan sindoor lagana bhul bhi gayi!" Ragini said in a sarcastic way thus Sanyukta lowered her lashes.
"Aare abhi abhi shaadi hui hai na, issi liye aadat nahi hai, dheere dheere ho jayegi. Warna saale sahab hai na biwi ki duty bajane ke liye!" Karan teased Randhir and laughed at Ragini thus she again concentrated on her coffee.
"Aare ab bas bhi karo tum log." Renuka said and went to the kitchen.
"Aare Sanyukta tum khadi kyu ho baitho na!" Rajveer said and showed her the chair beside Randhir.
"Ji bhaiya." Sanyukta said and was about to sit when Arpita came and sat there.
"Sorry Sanyukta but main iss chair par baithi hu, Ron ke saath, hamesha se." She said in a sugar coated way and smiled.
"Aare Arpita pehle ki baat aur thi, lekin aab..." Anjali tried to explain when Sanyukta interrupted.
"It's okay bhabhi, main kahi aur baith jati hu, Arpita you sit here." Sanyukta smiled and sat beside Anjali.
"Abhi toh sirf chair chhina hai, bahut jald tumhari payer ki niche se zameen bhi chhin lungi Sanyukta." Arpita said in mind.
Sanyukta sat down when an attendant came and served a cup of tea to her.
"Ye chai?" She was surprised.
"Ye tumhare liye, maine suna ke tum coffee nahi chai peeti ho toh maine manga liya." Renuka said from behind.
"Magar mummy ji iss ki kya jarurat thi, main coffee pee leti!" Sanyukta replied slowly.
"Jarurat hai Sanyukta, manti hu shaadi ke baad ladkiyo ki life mein bahut si changes aati hai. Unhe bahut kuch sacrifice bhi karni padti hai lekin iska matlab ye nahi ki tum apni purani zindagi jeena chhod do! Iss ghar mein sabko apni apni pasand se khane-peene ki aazadi hai toh tumhe kyun nahi! Tum bhi wohi khayogi, wohi piyogi jo tumhe pasand hai." Renuka said and Sanyukta's eyes filled with fresh tears. She became overwhelmed listening to her mother-in-law's words.
"Aab peeke batau bhi kaisi bani hai! Maine bahut dino baad aaj tumhare liye chai banai hai." Renuka smiled at Sanyukta and she took a sip.
"Bahut achchhi hai mummy ji." She blinked her eyes when Randhir rolled his eyes.
"Such a drama queen!" He murmured under his breath.
"Mummy agar chai ban rahi hai toh aaj hum bhi piyenge." Karan said, looking at Renuka.
"Mom main bhi, in fact hum sab piyenge." Rajveer said also.
"Thik hai main lati hu." Renuka said and about to go when Sanyukta stopped her.
"Mummy ji aap aakele kaise karengi chaliye main aap ki help karti hu." Sanyukta said and went to the kitchen with Renuka. Sanyukta made the tea and started serving everyone. Ragini denied at first but Karan forced her to take it.
"Aare Sanyukta Randhir ko chai do." Anjali said and Sanyukta kept a cup in front of him.
"Nahi mujhe nahi chahiye." Randhir replied.
"Peelo, Sanyukta ne special chai banayi hai..."
"Nooooo..." Anjali can't complete her words as Randhir screamed. Everyone was shocked.
"What happened Randhir?" Rajveer asked shockingly.
"N-nahi… wo mujhe nahi chahiye! Wo mujhe chai pasand nahi hai!" He replied anyhow.
"Bass itni si baat ke liye itna bada reaction!" Arpita looked at him shockingly.
"Sorry." Randhir said slowly and looked at Sanyukta who was busy serving others.
"Special chai! Haan haan jarur iss mein chini ke badle chilli powder daal diya hoga paratha ki tarha!" He said in mind.
"Fantastic, bahut achchhi bani hai chai Sanyukta, kyu Ragini?" Karan said and looked at Ragini who just nodded.
"Haan Sanyukta sach much bahut achchhi bani hai chai." Rajveer said also.
"Aare Randhir peo na, Sanyukta ne banaya hai. Kal toh uss ke haath ka khane ke liye uchhal rahe thay, aaj kya hua?" Anjali asked him surprisingly.
"Haan toh kal mann tha iss ka ye matlab nahi ki aaj bhi hoga!" He said asiding the cup when Arpita smiled inwardly.
"Aur waise bhi it's not my taste, mere standard ki nahi hai!" He said looking at Sanyukta who was busy sipping her tea.
"Mom, please give me a cup of coffee." Randhir said to Renuka.
"Haan abhi lati hu." Renuka said and went towards the kitchen.
"Toh saale sahab aap sach much chai nahi piyenge?" Karan asked.
"Nahi, I don't like it." He shrugged his shoulders.
"Okay toh phir ye bhi main hi pee leta hu." Karan said and took Randhir's cup.
"Aare jijaji ye aap kya kar rahe ho!" Randhir panicked.
"Kyun tumhi ne toh kaha ke tumhe nahi peena!" Karan raised his brows.
"Sanyukta ne agar iss chai mein kuch milaya hoga toh jijaji ko pata chal jayega! Aare jijaji kya sab ko pata chal jayega. Mujhe kuch karna padega, lekin kya!" He said in mind.
"Aare kya hua?" Karan asked again.
"Umm...mujhe wo peena hai jijaji." He replied hesitantly.
"But Ron abhi toh tum bol rahe thay ke tumhe nahi peena!" Arpita asked surprisingly.
"Haan toh ab maine mind change kar diya hai." Randhir said and grabbed the cup of tea.
"Peena hai toh pehle hi bol sakte thay, drama karne ki kya jarurat thi?" Anjali said in a mocking way and all laughed.
"Sanyukta agar tumne iss chai mein kuch milaya hai na, toh I swear paratha ki tarah ye bhi tumhe peena padega." Randhir said in mind and sipped his tea and next moment made a face.
"Kya hua?" Arpita asked curiously.
"Chini bahut jyada hai!" He said and kept the cup aside.
"Aaj chilli powder nahi tha shayad iss liye itna saara chini dala hai chai mein, huhhh!" He said in mind when Renuka came and served him a cup of coffee.
"Randhir, Sanyukta tum dono breakfast karke ready ho jana. Tum dono ko Sanyukta ki mayke jana hai 'Pagphere' ke liye." Renuka said when Randhir choked his coffee.
"Kya?" He was shocked.
"Haan Sanyukta ki maa ne phone kiya tha mujhe." Renuka said when Sanyukta looked at her, she was also shocked.
"Maa ne call kiya tha lekin unhone mujhse baat nahi kiya!" Sanyukta was hurt.
"Mom main kyu, driver hai na wo chhod dega." Randhir asked surprisingly.
"Beta rasam hai, tum dono ko saath mein jana hai, jaldi se ready ho jau okay!" Renuka said when Randhir had no other option so he just nodded only.
"Sanyukta tum bhi." Renuka said when Sanyukta also nodded and both Randhir and Sanyukta gave a tough look to each other.
