Shawn's POV
I think the last time I cried was when I was 13.
And I lost my first phone.
And well my parents wouldn't give me another one. So I started sobbing that my parents were unfair.
I wasn't that upset though. I just wanted to make a scene. Like every other 13 year old.
This was different.
I tried to stop it. I didn't want to let it get to me. But as tears started to roll down my cheeks. Memories of her appeared in my mind.

I wiped my eyes and looked into the mirror. Thankfully I didn't look tired, even if I stayed up all night. The haunting words replayed all night long. A constant nightmare.
People use I love you like it means nothing these days. The second two 7th graders start dating they already love each other. Just because you hold hands doesn't mean you're in love. When you hold hands and you never want to leave. When you hold hands and literally get chills. When you hold hands and you swear you can feel hearts in your eyes.
That's love.

I don't understand people.
I walked out of the bathroom and into the cafeteria. I snuck a glance across the room to Y/N. The arm of the other guy holding her protectively. More like she was a object then a person. Her eyes sparkled as she laughed.
She used to do that when I talked to her.
I sat with my friends. Not speaking very much. I just listened to their conversation. Biting my lip and nodding to make it seem I was interested in the topic. I wasn't. I was interested in how much time it would take me to wrap a rope around her new boys neck and suck all the air out of him until he-

Okay maybe it wasn't smart to think about killing him. It's not good fault she left you. Or it really is. But what are you going to do?
Maybe I could strangle him and-
I need help.
That's when the bell rang. And everyone stood to make their way out and to the hall. I decided otherwise. I walked with my friends when I ran into someone.
"Sorry," I said quickly, no emotion in my voice as I tried to get as fast as possible. Then I realized who I ran into.
"Shawn-" Y/N called. I ignored her.
She isn't good for you anymore
You have to let her go
And I did. I walked straight out of the school. To my car. Turned on the radio. And drove away. Feeling the weight of her cheating self and stress lifted off my shoulders.
