I sat at home. Tired from work in the studio producing a album with a stubborn artist, I plopped onto the couch and strolled through Twitter. When I got like seventeen tweets telling me to watch a video. Thank the lord above it was a video of my ex because that's what I obviously wanted to watch.
"Now, Shawn. Are you still with Y/N?" He frowned.
"No we broke up last month," He said.
"What happened?"
"She said I wasn't home enough,"
"You weren't," I stated.
"Was it a mutual decision," The interviewer asked.
"No." Shawn said, his head facing the ground.
I clicked off the video.
*flashback*
"Shawn I get you want to be on the road but-"
"But what Y/N!"
"But you are never around! I'm always alone! I sit watching couples walk hand in hand and I never get that! You only come home for a couple days and then you are back to LA or on a trip!" I exclaimed.
"So you can follow your dreams but I can't follow mine?" He shot angrily.
"You know that is not what I mean Shawn," I defended.
"Then his me Y/N, what do you fu*king mean?" He flared.
"We aren't even dating.. The last date we went on was a month ago and we had to leave early because you had a last minute meeting," I said. "Do you not get how hard this all is for me?" My voice cracked. I ran a hand through my hair and blinked my eyes fast. "Never seeing you. Coming home to not see you like I used to," I said.
"I know what," He muttered.
"What?"
"You want to break up," He said and looked up at me with a broken face.
"Shawn you don't understand it you-"
"I don't understand it? I got it pretty clear that you are miserable with me. Just get it done already," He fired.
"Shawn," I sighed.
"What?" He asked.
"Kiss me one last time," I said. He walked over. Cupping my face in his and pressing his soft lips to mine. He put as much passion and thought into it as possible. But no kiss could explain the emotion in this situation. I closed my eyes. Then I finally awoke again "You need to leave," I breathed out. He looked at me.
"So we are done?" He whispered. I nodded. He bit his lip and grabbed his suitcase he had his stuff in and walked to the door. "Bye— Y/N," I watched him walk out from the window. My heart broke as I stood there, and watched him cry in his car for the agony minutes before he turned on his car and sped away.
*flashback over*
That was the last time I saw him. I gulped. I missed him. I felt a tear stroke down my cheek.

Then I heard a knock outside. I got up and wiped my eyes clean. I opened the door.
"Shawn what are you?" He kissed me. I was desperate for his touch again. His hand went to my cheek. He caressed it with his thumb. I relaxed. Letting him hold me. But then I pulled away. I stepped back.
"This isn't right," I shook my head.
"This is right Y/N. I love you. I can't do this without you. I hate that we broke up-"
"I know," He stopped.
"You know?"
"I watched your interview you had today.. People were sending it to me," I said. My tone had sadness but I kept it as hard as I could.
"Oh. Y/N I promise I will make more time for you please I need you! This last month has been so hard. I tried moving on. But all I can think about is you," He took my hands in his. "All I need is a shot at forgiveness," (cue Justin Beiber sorry not sorry)
"okay." I said.
"Really?" He asked.
"Yes," he picked me up and spun me around. I laughed.
"I love you so much," He said and kissed me.
"I love you too,"

The only thing harder then being turned down in love is having to turn down someone in love :(
