Sadly... We have to say goodbye to 2015 and oh my gosh!! What an amazing year!! I have reached over 18k reads which is absolutely shocking but bloody brilliant at the same time!! I can not thank you enough for this!! I wish you all the best for the new year and I love you so much!! Thank you for being supportive and encouraging and just absolutely lovely people!! Sam's POV
New Year's Eve. This is usually the time where everyone huddles up by the TV and wait for the last 5 seconds of the year. For some, they get to share a kiss. In my case... That has never happened. I thought it was going to happen to me this year. Until he left me.
So you see, Freddie and I are dating. You know... boyfriend and girlfriend... relationship goals... a couple. Yeah, you get the picture.
Anyway... He went to Massachusetts for a college interview so he could get into MIT. He had to stay there for a week. But that dragged on for 4 and a half months.
Freddie left... December, November, October, September, half of August... He left half way through August and said he was only going to be gone at Massachusetts for only a week. LIES!!
He hasn't even contacted me!! The time he only contacted me was after he got off the plane and settled into his hotel!! The call didn't even last more than 5 minutes! And I swear I could hear a young girl's voice in the background... but then I heard the Marlisa in it.
"FREDWARD BENSON!! GET OFF THE PHONE AND COME AND TAKE A TICK BATH!! THIS PLACE IS FULL OF THEM!! Quick before they bite my poor little ickle Freddie Bear!!"
Yep... that actually happened. But anyway, that is not the point! The point is, Freddie hasn't been here since August and won't respond to any of my calls, texts, emails, letters, messages, comments and any other way I tried contacting him!!
11:45pm
Are you serious?! 15 minutes until the new year!! Ugh!! He's such an asshole! "Sam? Are you okay?" Came from the voice of my best friend. Yep... I still annoy Carly and Spencer. I would probably stop by the end of high school though.
"I'm fine Carls! Nothing's wrong!" Carly just sighed through the door. Oh yeah, by the way. I locked myself up in her own room. Aren't I such a sweet and loving best friend?
"So I guess you don't want to talk to Freddie? Okay then. I will just tell Spencer to Freddie that his own girl-"
FREDDIE?!
I burst the door open, knocking poor Carly down to the ground and race down the stairs to go and find Spencer who was sitting at the computer eating a bag of tortilla chips.
"Oh hey Sam! Wanna talk to-" I push Spencer off the chair (mind my insanely exquisite and very polite manners) and stare at the computer screen to see my boyfriend who hasn't even tried communicating to me in any sort of form after 4 and a half months!!
"Hey baby. I'm so sor-" I cut Freddie off just there. I don't want to hear his bullshit apology. I just want him to get straight to the freaking point about how he didn't want to talk to me but yet talk to every other person in the whole wild chizzin' world!!
"SHUT THE HELL UP FREDDKE AND EXPLAIN YOUR FREAKING SELF!! WHY DIDN'T YOU EVEN TRY TO COMMUNICATE TO ME BUT FOR EVERYONE ELSE... YOU WOULD HAVE A WHOLE CONVERSATION!"
By now, I was in tears. I couldn't keep my emotions in. I quickly ended the video chat call before that nub of a boyfriend or Benson try and explain his self!!
I ran back up into Carly's room, pushed Carly over again, just as she regained consciousness (this time not knocking Carly out dead) and locked myself up again.
I just sat myself on Carly's bed and cried my whole heart, head, mind, body and soul out!
I check over the clock again. 11:57pm. Well I am definitely not going to get a New Year's Eve, midnight kiss like Carly. Brad's coming over any second now to-
*DING DONG*
Yep, there's Brad. Probably with his older cousin who's staying with them for the New Year, Katrina. (Or as she likes to be called... Katy). See!! Even Spencer's getting a kiss tonight!! Ugh!
I look back over the clock. 11:58pm. Oh fine I'll go down and celebrate with them. I slowly walk down the stairs to see Brad and Katy (including Brad's parents) but also Mrs Benson and Freddie?!
"FREDDIE?!" My smile goes big and so does Freddie's. He nods his head on response to him saying that it is him.
I look over at the clock one last time. 11:59pm. I then look back at Carly and Spencer with Brad's family and Mrs Benson, they're starting the countdown already!!

I rush down the stairs and meet in front of Freddie.

"But- but?!" Freddie laughs a bit and kisses my forehead.

"You thought I wasn't going to come back in time for the New Year right?" I just nod.

"Well you didn't communicate to me, whatsoever so i thought you were just going to spend New Year's Eve with your insane mother." I laugh.

"I know it has been hard. I left you here, by yourself for 4 and a half months without some sort of explanation." He said with a hic in his breath.

"Chiz yeah you did! I was just stuck here by myself without anyone to hold me when I was down or to keep me going. Sure k had Carly, Brad, Spencer and even Katy but... They're not the same. They're not you."

Right now, I could feel tears streaming down my face. I feels Freddie's arms snake my waist and pull me into one of his tight embraces that make me feel loved and welcomed when I usually never felt like I do.

"Are you going to ever explain why you didn't reply to any of my messages?" I ask in such a quiet whisper that it almost sounded like nothing.

"I will but what matters is that you are finally going to get your biggest wish come true." Said Freddie with all the sincerity in his voice.

"I love you." And I finally got it. My new Year's Eve, midnight kiss.
