"This came in the mail for you, I think the date is set for the trial." Clara says as she hands Lauren a orange colored envelop appropriately addressed to her.
Lauren takes the mail but sighs as she takes it.
"Is something wrong?" Clara asks.
"No, well kinda - it's just that it's kinda stressing me out, I understand that this is a serious thing but-" Lauren doesn't continue as she gets frustrated.
"Luckily you're financially stable, but you have the right as an American citizen to fight this , honey he raped you , he forced you." Clara says.
Clara pats Lauren on the back as she leaves allowing Lauren to open the envelope.
Lauren takes a deep breath .

Intro- Defendant Noah Bernardout (20) and plaintiff Lauren Jauregui (19) , on June 21 , 2015 the defendant forced sexual actions on the plaintiff who urged the defendant to take it slow. The defendant continued to force their self on the plaintiff , later leading to a pregnancy.
Lauren begins to feel sick as her mind sends her flashbacks of that night.
She gets up to get a pen and signs the documents confirming that she will appear in court.

Lauren pulls out her phone, and hits Camila's contact.
"Hello?" Lauren asks as she notices no one says anything.
"It's me!" Camila says back excitedly on the other end.
"I'm really in need of some cheering up." Lauren says in a sad tone.
"Aw why what's wrong?" Camila asks in a concerned voice.
"I'm just feeling really overwhelmed." Lauren says taking her time, Camila let's her continue.
"I just filled out some papers for the trial." Lauren says.
"Want me to come over?" Camila asks.
"Actually I'll come to you , my parents might be getting suspicious about us hanging out so much." Lauren says.
"No I'll come get you, we'll do something." Camila says.
"Okay." Lauren says in a slightly happier tone.
Lauren sits in her room waiting until Camila texts her that she's there.
"Yo - yo- yo" Lauren reads on her phone causing her to laugh, but it was also her signal that Camila was waiting outside.
Lauren gets up and leaves as quietly as possible.
"Heyyy." Camila says as Lauren steps into the car.
"How are you my love?" Lauren asks as a chill is sent through Camila's body at Lauren's choice of words.
"I'm great!" Camila says excitedly.
Lauren laughs at Camila's energy considering the way she's feeling at the moment.
Camila starts driving, Lauren doesn't bother asking where they're going she's just glad to be with Camila.
"Can you turn up the heat? Im always cold now." Lauren asks as she throws her head back.
"If we go up anymore we'll be matching the radio station but okay." Camila says as she turns it up.
"So what about this court case? Why are you so stressed?" Camila asks .
"I don't know." Lauren says letting out a breath.
"Everything is happening at once!" She says raising her voice.
"When we meet up with the others, I have to tell my secret to the public, I'm due in 4 months, I have to name this baby , I'm dating you behind my parents back , I have to face this guy who used me!" Lauren says as she puts her hands to her face in distress.
"Mhm." Camila says not really listening.
Camila parks the car.
"Where are we?" Lauren asks in a muffled tone with her hands still covering her face.
"I thought of it as you were talking." Camila says as she steps out of the car to take in the aroma of the beach.
Camila walks to the other side of the car and helps Lauren out.
"Come on , let the ocean sweep your mind." She says as she grabs Lauren's hand.
"Wait right there ." Camila says as she opens her trunk to pull out a large towel , some sodas and a bottle of sunscreen.
"I didn't really come prepared for the beach." Lauren tells Camila.
"It's okay, neither did I." Camila says as the two continue walking.
"Isn't the water right here?" Lauren asks as she notices Camila is taking them a different way.
"Yes , yes it is." Camila says as she keeps walking.
She takes them to a hidden part topped off with a perfect palm tree and a nice view of the water.
Camila places their things on the sand as she spreads the towel out.
"This was my escape place." She tells Lauren.
"Anytime I got mad or upset or just wanted to be away from everything this is where I came." She says as she's still setting up the towel. "When my parents told me they were having Sofi I ran here..well I rode my bike, but it just seemed to wash everything away it was relaxing." She tells her as she finishes setting up the towel telling Lauren to sit.
The two sit and take in the ocean air.
"Before I was really cold but now I'm really hot." Lauren says.
"Yes you are." Camila says with a smirk.
"Oh shut up." Lauren says as she squeezes Camila's cheek.
"Do you mind?" Lauren asks as she takes off her shirt revealing one of her bra's she brought the other day with Camila.
"No not at all, we've seen each other like this plenty of times the only difference Is that we're dating." Camila says urging her to continue.
Lauren takes off her shirt revealing her perfect porcelain , acne free skin accompanied by her bump.
She takes the bottle of sunscreen and starts rubbing it on.
"Can you do my back?" Lauren nicely asks Camila.
Camila is hesitant, "Th- this is our first time interacting like this." She tells Lauren timidly.
"I know and it feels good." Lauren says in a soothing voice, causing Camila to smile.
"Can I confess something to you?" Lauren asks.
"Yes of course!" Camila says anxiously.
"You have the prettiest smile in the WORLD!" Lauren says causing Camila to blush.
"Well It only exists when I'm with you so consider yourself lucky. Camila says back.
"I am lucky." Lauren says as the two smile at each other.
They sip on their cans of soda and watch the sun set.
"Did this take away your stress?" Camila asks Lauren.
"Yeah, I'm glad we came here." Lauren says as the two walk back to the car.
The ride back to Lauren's is silent except for the sound of Wildest Dreams playing softly on the radio.
"We're here." Camila tells Lauren after noticing she must have slightly dozed off.
Lauren takes off her seat belt and gets out.
"Thanks for such an amazing afternoon." Lauren tells her.
"No problem I hope we have many more." Camila says.
"Goodnight baby." Lauren says as she heads in holding her bag and a sweatshirt.
It's nearly 10 o'clock so Lauren assumes everyone should be sleep even though 4/5th's of her household is on winter break.
"Where were you?" Clara asks as Lauren cuts through the kitchen not noticing her in there.
"I mean you're an adult but I was just wondering." Clara continues.
"I went out..." Lauren simply says.
"Yeah clearly." Clara says.
Lauren continues walking , she goes to her room and gets in her pajamas.
She sits on her bed , puts on the tv and starts doodling in her notebook.
Clara lightly knocks on her door.
"What?" Lauren asks in a slightly annoyed tone.
"Were you out with Camila by any chance?" Clara asks.
"Maybe." Lauren says not giving any further details.
Clara looks around and closes Lauren's door.
"Yesterday I saw an exchange between you two." Clara says.
Lauren's heart begins to race not knowing where her mother is going with this.
"I wasn't spying on you I swear, I was putting the clothes in everyone's rooms and I saw you two kissing?" She ends with a question mark.
Lauren thinks to herself realizing she was caught so there's no point in her trying to lie.
She lets out a deep breath, "Yes that is what you saw." Lauren says confirming her mothers suspicions.
"I'll pack my bags, you're probably ready to kick me out with all these revelations." Lauren says as she stands up.
Cliffhanger!!! Don't worry I don't think I'm gonna make it dramatic just yet :)
