The next morning, I woke up and as I opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was Shawn who was laying next to me looking at me.
,,Morning..." He said in his morning voice with a smile and placed his hand on my cheek.
,,Morning." I said and gave him a soft smile. ,,Shit! It's Monday!" I said and wanted to stand up, but Shawn pulled me back and pulled me closer to him.
,,Don't rush. Everyone has a key to the praxis now, so who cares if we are a little late." Shawn said and kissed my nose and that made me giggle.
,,The patients will care." I said and he groaned.
,,If you say that one more time then I'm gonna make sure we get late one day." He said and I laughed at the way his words made no sense to me.
,,Why would you do that? That gives your praxis a bad reputation."
,,I don't care as long as I'm with you." He said and kissed my lips softly.
,,That was cute." I said as we broke the kiss.
,,See! You need this few minutes in the morning before you stand up." Shawn said and I rolled my eyes playfully.
,,Yeah....You're right..." I said and he started laughing in a funny way—that also made me laugh—and then started leaving kisses on my cheek and neck.
Our moment got interrupted as we heard Riley cry. Shawn and I both got out of bed and I quickly put his shirt on that was laying on the floor and he put on his sweatpants that were also laying somewhere on the floor.
We walked out of the bedroom and at the same time, Karen and Manuel opened their door and Aaliyah hers.
I walked to Riley who was in the living room in her baby basket and she immediately stopped crying.
,,You're hungry. Aren't you?" I said as I picked her up and walked with her in the kitchen.
,,Sorry... You can go back to sleep." Shawn said to his parents and Aaliyah.
,,Don't you two have to go to work?" Karen asked me and Shawn.
,,We do." Shawn said.
,,Can we stay with Riley?" Aaliyah asked excited and Shawn looked at me for approval.
,,Of course!" I said with a smile.
,,YES!" Aaliyah said excited and Karen and Manuel smiled at her.
,,We'll get changed for work..." Shawn said and made me go in the bedroom by my waist.
,,Yeah sure." Manuel said with a smirk on his face and Shawn rolled his eyes at him.
,,Shawn?" I asked after he closed the bedroom door and I placed Riley in the middle of the bed so it was harder for her to fall.
,,Yeah?"
,,Ahm... I was thinking and...you don't have to say yes, but.... Would you want to move in together? I mean, before Addison gives birth, like we talked about...." I said and tapped my index finger nervously on the back of my hand.
,,Of course I want to, but maybe we should talk about it more in detail. I mean we talked about moving in my apartment, but what are we going to do with yours then?" He said and sat on the bed looking at me.
,,We can talk about all that whenever you want. I just wanna have it behind us because I think that everything will be pretty stressful after Addison's baby is born too."
,,You're right. I mean I didn't think about that..."
,,I don't know why, but I start to think a lot about the future. Like what do we do while Addison is in maternity leave, cause she'll be in a few weeks." I said and Shawn took my hands in his.
,,Let's talk about this tonight. We'll have plenty of time then."
,,I still have your last surprise for your birthday at my apartment, but because of all the stuff that happened yesterday we didn't come to go there..."
,,We can go after work there because it's a short day at work. Okay?" He said with a smile and I nodded. ,,Now let's get changed." He said and we did.
We got ready and left for work after we said our goodbyes. The day at work was indeed short, but it was fun because I was doing something I like.
After work, Shawn and I walked to my apartment and as he entered it his jaw fell, but just seconds afterwards, he started smirking at me.
,,It's beautiful, babe." He said.
The room was decorated in a romantic way with petals on the floor. It was similar to what Shawn made for me a while ago.
,,You like it?" I asked and instead of answering he picked me up from the floor and walked with me in the bedroom.
As he put me on the bed, he stopped to look around at the way I decorated. Seconds later, his attention was back on me.

I think we should get going to your apartment. They are all for sure waiting." I said while I was cuddled against Shawn and he was playing with my hair.
,,We probably should." He said and reached for his jeans to take his phone out. ,,Oh shit!" He said as he unlocked his phone.
,,What?" I asked.
,,I have 10 missed calls from dad, 15 from Aaliyah and around 30 from mom. They for sure think we are dead." Shawn said and I giggled lightly.
,,We are going to be dead when we'll get back home." I said and giggled again and that also made Shawn chuckle lightly.
,,I should call them and tell them we're coming." Shawn said and I nodded. He called his mom and I could hear through the phone how worried she sounded.
,,Shawn Peter Raul Mendes! Why do you have a phone if you don't pick up!? You gave us all the panic of our lifes!" Karen said loudly.
,,We're at Mila's apartment. We....had to stop and get something." Shawn said and I hid my face under the sheets to stop myself from laughing.
,,Oh- Ahhhhh! Oh-" I heard Karen say and I knew she knew and that's when I broke into laughters.
,,Shhh!" Shawn whispered to me, but I couldn't stop. ,,We'll be home in a few minutes. Don't worry." Shawn said and then hung up. ,,Milaaa!" He yelled and then started tickling me.
,,No! I'm sorry!" I said and to my surprise, he stopped tickling me.
,,Now my mom knows! Can you even imagine the way she and dad are going to tease me!?" Shawn said, placed his hands on my shoulders and shoke me lightly.
,,I think I can and if not, then I guess I'll see it anyways." I said and tried to stop myself from laughing again and Shawn let out a groan.
,,Great!" Shawn said and stood up from the bed and I already started missing his warmth laying next to me.
I groaned quietly as I needed to stand up. We put our clothes on and made our way back to his apartment hand in hand.
,,Mila?" Shawn asked on the way.
,,Yeah?"
,,I know we talked about us moving in together in my apartment, but maybe in the future we'll need more space. I mean maybe we'll want more kids and the apartment has only 3 other bedrooms." He said and I looked at him with wide eyes.
He thought about us having kids?
,,You want more than 3 kids?" I asked.
,,It's not about what I want. I think that it's your decision how many kids we'll have cause it's your body." He said and that made my heart melt.
,,You are the purest person in this whole world!" I said and put my hand on his cheek to make him lean down and kiss me.
,,You deserve that and I want to give you that so I'm doing my best to be the best version of myself." He said right before his lips reached mine.
I locked my fingers in his curls and he held me close to him by my waist. I let myself get lost in the kiss like nobody was watching.
,,I could do this all day long." He said as we broke the kiss and rested our foreheads against each other.
,,Me too, but I've to get Riley." I said and he looked confused at me.
,,You aren't staying?" He asked with a disappointed look.
,,I would, but Riley should sleep in her bed that is more comfortable than the baby basket.
,,Okay we really need to talk about moving in together. I want to be around you all day." He said and gave me a pick on the lips.
,,Well it's still early. We can go to your apartment and figure it all out. And what you said about the future and kids, we can take a look at some bigger apartments, but I think your apartment is big enough." I said and that brought a huge smile on Shawn's face.
,,Then what are we waiting for!?" He said excited and suddenly picked me up and held me over his shoulder.
,,What are you doing?" I asked between laughters.
,,You're too slow and we are losing precious time of talking." He said and started running with me.
I was trying to hold my laughters in so I hid my face in my hands.
I don't wanna know what the people on the street were thinking about us, but to be honest, I don't give a fuck about them.
As we got at his building, he still didn't put me back on the floor and I felt my cheeks burning like they were on fire from embarrassment as we ran into one of Shawn's neighbors.
,,Hello, Mrs Garcia." Shawn greeted her normally like he wasn't carrying a girl on his shoulder in the building.
,,Morning, Doctor...." The woman said confused.
,,I'm not kidnapping her. She's my girlfriend." Shawn said and chuckled.
I felt my cheeks glowing even harder as the woman started laughing.
Why is he doing this to me!?
As we got at his apartment, he opened the door with no problems and I just hoped his parents weren't in the living room.
,,Can you put me down now?" I asked and I heard someone laugh in the living room and I hoped with all my heart it was Aaliyah.
,,Not yet." He said and I let out a groan. He threw his shoes out of his feets and started walking with me in the living room.
,,All the blood in my body is in my head right now. This position isn't comfortable." I complained and that only made him chuckle.
,,You're complaining a lot thinking about the fact that I carried you all the way here." He said and put me on the couch and as I looked around I saw that his parents, Aaliyah and Riley were there.

,,I didn't ask you to." I said and he started taking my shoes off.
,,Yeah, yeah, yeah!" He said annoyed and that made me laugh even if I didn't want to laugh.
,,Sooo... Where were you two? You said you have a short day at work." Aaliyah said with a smirk.
,,We had and it's none of your business." Shawn said and Aaliyah smirked.
,,That's all I need as an answer." Aaliyah said with the same smirk on her face.
,,What should that mean?" Shawn said and took her wrist in his hand and pulled her closer to him.
,,You really want me to say that out loud?" Aaliyah asked.
,,No! He doesn't." I said before he could say yes. I knew exactly what she wanted to say and this was already embarrassing enough.
,,But I d-" Shawn started saying, but I put my hand over his mouth to make him shut up.
,,I said no."
,,Yes, ma'am..." He said against my hand and I let go of his mouth and that made Manuel laugh. ,,What's funny?" Shawn asked and Manuel spoke his hand.
,,I'm not gonna say it out loud cause you all are going to kill me." Manuel said and continued laughing.
,,Say it! Or you'll regret it!" Aaliyah said and jumped on Manuel's back and that made him fall on the couch.
,,I'll regret saying it." Manuel said and Aaliyah let it be.
,,A!" We heard Riley's baby voice and everyone's attention was on her.
,,Did you all hear that or am I just imagining stuff?" I asked and looked at Riley who was in Karen's arms looking at me.
,,She made a sound... She didn't say a word..." Aaliyah said and looked confused.
,,It's still something! All she did until now was giggling and crying! That is something!" I said excited.
,,It is. It's the beginning of her first word." Karen said and handed her to me.
,,Smart girl! I'm proud of you!" I said to Riley and kissed her cheek.
,,Great, Riley! But I still wanna know why you were laughing." Aaliyah said and gave her dad a pretty scary killer look.
