Shawn?-C
I texted Shawn and then started to get paranoid, so I locked the door with all the locks and closed all the windows.
What's wrong, babe?-S
I was so released as he texted me back and curled myself back on the couch next to Riley.
When are you coming home? I'm scared-C
In 15 minutes. This is my last patient. But why are you scared? What's wrong?-S
Someone called on the interphone and just asked about Camila Cabello. He didn't say his name or anything and as I asked about his name he left. And I don't know why, but it was so scary-C
Okay I'm coming home now. Okay?-S
But you have one more patient-C
I'll talk to Addison. Don't worry. I'm coming home. Don't open the door! I have the keys-S
Okay-C
I held my phone tight in my hands and waited for Shawn.
What if Shawn was right a few days ago!? What if this man was one of the guys Skylar was talking about!?
I tried to think about something else, but I couldn't. I couldn't even reach for the remote to put another episode of FRIENDS. I was just afraid so I walked back to the window to see when Shawn was getting there.
It probably didn't take long, but for me it felt like an eternity until I saw him. He ran to the building and entered it immediately as he got there.
A few seconds later, I heard the keys in the door and then after Shawn unlocked all the locks, he got in and immediately closed the door afterwards.
,,Oh god...You okay?" He asked and walked to me and pulled me in for a hug.
,,I'm okay. I didn't let the guy in." I said as I started to feel safe again in his arms.
,,Did you tell him your name?"
,,No. I lied."
,,Okay." He said and just rubbed my back to comfort me.
,,Do you think it was one of that guys Skylar was talking about?" I asked and I felt how Shawn took a deep breath before he answered.
,,I don't know, but I just hope not..."
Before any of us could say anything else, the interphone rang again. Shawn and I walked to it and Shawn picked it up to answer:
,,Hello?"
,,I'm sorry for bothering again, but I really need to talk to Camila Cabello." I heard the same voice from earlier saying.
,,Why do you want to talk to her?" Shawn asked.
,,It's about my daughter. She borrowed money from people and lied to them. Camila was one of the people she borrowed money from."
,,Who is your daughter?" Shawn asked even if we both had a clue who it might be.
,,Amalia Moon."
Not again...
,,Can I please talk to you in person for a second and explain you the situation?" The man asked and Shawn looked like he was thinking about what he was going to say next.
,,I'll come downstairs." Shawn said and hung up the interphone. His words surprised me thinking about the fact that he was the one who didn't want to have anything to do with Skylar and her family.
,,You going to talk to him?" I asked confused.
,,I just wanna know what we got ourselves into as you gave Skylar the money. She didn't say anything about a father so maybe she lied or I don't know. Stay here. I'll be right back."
,,Okay..." I said and then he exited the apartment.
I ran to the window to see at least that he was safe. I was probably just exaggerating once again, but I can't help the way my mind thinks.
Shawn POV
I walked downstairs and as I exited the building, there was a man that I supposed was the man I just talked to.
,,I need some answers." I said and the man nodded. ,,First of all, I wanna know if what Sk- I mean Amalia told me and my girlfriend is true."
,,You talked to my Amalia?" The man asked surprised.
,,Yes... Can you tell me now if what she told me is real?"
,,I don't know what she told you... She took money from ten people and lied to everyone of them about why she needs them. Every single person I talked to, said that Amalia told them something completely different."
,,I don't understand... Why did she need so much money?"
,,Ahm....drugs...and alcohol..."
,,What!? She told me that she needs money because her mom is in danger."
,,Her mom is dead... She died years ago because of cancer. I just found out that Amalia had been doing drugs since then and I just don't know what to do.." The man said and seemed so heartbroken.
,,And her brothers?" I asked and the man only looked confused at me.
,,She doesn't have brothers..."
Did this girl say the truth about anything!?
,,Okay look. I think Amalia needs some real help."
,,I know, but first of all I wanted to give the money back to every person she took money from. Can you please tell me where I can find Camila Cabello?" The man said and he really looked like a person you could trust.
,,She is my girlfriend and the woman you talked to on the interphone the first time. You scared her and I wasn't home and she was alone with our baby, so she lied to you not wanting to let a stranger in her apartment." I said and felt my cheeks burning as I said our baby.
Riley isn't mine and I know that, but sometimes it's good to lie to people and this was one of the situations. The man seemed okay, but I can't trust a stranger completely.
,,I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare her..." He said and looked ashamed.
,,It's okay. You know, the story your daughter told us was pretty scary. She said something about some dangerous men trying to kill her mom and she was scared because she thought you may be one of them."
,,I'm sorry... I'm so so sorry for everything. For scaring your girlfriend and also for what my daughter did..."
,,It's okay." I said not knowing what else to say.
,,Can you give this to Camila?" The man asked and handed me a letter where the money probably was.
,,Sure.."
,,I just wanted to say sorry and give you the money back. Have a nice day..." The man said and left.
To be honest I was just confused about all this Skylar or Amalia or whatever the fuck her name is. I hope this man was the one who was telling the truth and not Amalia, but I just don't wanna think about this anymore.
I walked back upstairs and told Camila everything the man told me. She was feeling better and safer now.
,,Are you still in pain?" I asked her after I told her everything.
,,Yeah... The pain killers and my paranoid self made me forget about it." She said and giggled lightly at her own words.
,,That's good...I guess.."
,,It is. Are we going to Ethan now?"
,,You still wanna go after all this?"
,,Yes! I wanna see Ethan again and it will be fun so it will make us forget about all this stuff. I'll just have to go to the bathroom pretty often when we are going to be there.." She said and gave me a soft smile.
,,Okay. If you're okay with it then we go."
,,Okay! I'll go and get changed!" She said excited and rushed to the bedroom.
I stayed in the living room for a while and just talked and played with Riley until Camila walked out of the bedroom looking as beautiful as she always looks.
,,Come on, Riley. We need to get you dressed too." Camila said as she started walking in my direction and that's when I realized I was staring with my mouth open so I shoke myself lightly to get back to the reality.
,,You look beautiful..." I managed to say.
,,Thank you, but you have to get changed too." She said and sounded confident, but I still saw the way she blushed at my compliment.
,,Do I not look good like this?" I asked with a smirk.
,,You always look good, but I want us to match so I put you an outfit on the bed."
,,Fine... For you." I said and stood up from the couch and kissed her lips before I walked in the bedroom.
,,Not bad, Camila..." I said to myself and put the outfit on.
We were really matching in a way and I thought it was cute that she wanted us to.
I walked out the room and saw that Camila and Riley weren't in the living room nor in the kitchen. That meant they were in Riley's room so I walked in Riley's room.
As I did so, I immediately started to laugh lightly as I saw that Camila also matched Riley's outfit with ours.
,,You like it?" Mila asked.
,,Love it. You ready to go?"
,,Yep! You taking the baby bag?"
,,Of course. You take the baby basket or the stroller?"
,,The baby basket. It's easier to carry around."
,,Okay. Then let's go."
I was so excited to see Ethan. As I told Ethan about Camila he started to tease me so bad. I just hope he's not going to tell her all the embarrassing stories about the time I was trying to get over her.
