Camila POV
The next morning I woke up by the sound of the crying Riley. I rubbed my eyes and then immediately checked her diaper. I realized it was full, so I took it off and threw it in the rubbish bin. Then, I took a new diaper from the baby bag and put it on Riley, but she didn't stop crying. I was confused for a second, but then I realized she had to be hungry. I took the baby bottle quickly, washed it and prepared her some milk.
As I got back in the bedroom I picked up Riley and feed her with the bottle. She immediately stopped crying and drunk the milk quietly.
I heard that someone entered the apartment, but I was relaxed knowing that it was probably Addison.
,,Mila?" The person who entered shouted and I immediately recognized Addison.
,,Bedroom."
After a second, Adi entered the bedroom and looked at how cute Riley was.
,,What's up?" I asked while I was still feeding Riley.
,,I organized the funeral... All Nina's close friends are gonna be there.."
,,When is it?"
,,Tomorrow. I'll pick you up and we'll go together."
,,Okay.." I said trying to focus on Riley and not at how much I was gonna miss my big sister.
,,Did you eat breakfast?" Addison asked.
,,I just woke up."
,,Do you wanna go to a cafe and eat breakfast together?"
,,Sure."
Riley finished her milk and I put the bottle on the bedside table. I changed her in other clothes and put the old ones in the washer together with some other clothes of mine.
Addison took Riley and exited the room with her so I could also get changed. It was spring, so I put a basic shirt and some jeans on. I exited the room and saw that Adi put Riley in her baby stroller.
,,I also organized a truck that will bring all the stuff from your family home here." Addison said while I put my shoes on.
,,Thank you." I said and gave her a hug.
,,No problem. I told you I'm gonna help you as much as I can." We broke the hug and went together to the cafe Shawn brought me to yesterday.
We sat at a table and ordered some pancakes.
,,I got a job." I said out of the sudden.
,,Oh my god! That's great!" Addison said excited and almost fell down from her chair.
,,You'll never guess who's my boss."
,,Right behind you." A familiar voice said from behind me and as I turned around, I saw Shawn.
,,Oh hi!" I said and gave him a hug.
,,Hey. You better?"
,,Yeah... If you can say it like that. What are you doing here?"
,,Grabbing some coffee before work."
,,Are you sure I can't come to work till next week?"
,,Mila! I told you I want you to calm down. With all the things that are happening in your life right now I could never ask you to come to work."
,,Wait a minute!" Addison interrupted our conversation. ,,Shawn is your boss? Shawn from college is your boss?" She asked in shock and we both nodded and said simultaneously:
,,Yes."
,,You have your own praxis?" Addison asked still shocked.
,,Yep." Shawn answered and smiled.
,,And is there maybe another free job for another friend of yours?" She asked embarrassed, but Adi also needed a job.
,,Well I just opened my praxis a few months ago and it was pretty hard working alone, that's why I wanted just a coworker to help me, but, to be honest, I'd love to work with both of you."
,,You do?" Addison asked surprised.
,,Yes. If you want a job, I can give it to you, but it will be probably not as good paid as Camila’s at the beginning, cause I'm still at the beginning." He said while scratching the back of his neck.
,,Are you serious?"
,,Yes. Totally."
,,Oh my god! Thank you!" Addison said and jumped in Shawn's arms.
As I saw her hugging him I felt a little jealous somehow. I didn't know why but I didn't like seeing Adi hugging him.
,,So, when can I start?"
,,Tomorrow if you want." As he said that my jaw fell.
,,Why can she start, but I can't?" I asked and crossed my arms over my chest.
Shawn leaned in and whispered in my ear:
,,Because I care for you and I want you to rest. Got it?"
I rolled my eyes and he whispered again:
,,I didn't hear you answer. You got it?"
,,I got it.." I said it more like a mumble.
,,Great." He said and quickly got his coffee. ,,I'll see you tomorrow, Addison. Take care of you, Mila. Okay?"
,,Okay..." I said while Addison waved him excited and before he left, he turned around one more time and said to me:
,,If you ever need me, just call."
I smiled and nodded at him as he left.
,,Holy fuck! We are gonna work together!" Addison said excited after Shawn left.
,,I can't believe it.."
,,You know what I can't believe?"
,,What?"
,,That something between you and Shawn is still there." She said and smirked.
,,What are you talking about?" I laughed it off.
,,Don't play dumb like in college! You know there was always something between you two back then and it still is."
,,There was never something between us. We were just friends."
,,I don't mean that you were hooking up with him. I mean there was this 'tension' between you two."
,,Addison! Here's a baby!"
,,Sorry.. Anyways, everyone in this cafe saw the tension between you two as he whispered in your ear!"
,,Adi.. Forget it. We're just friends and he for sure has a girlfriend, so just forget it."
,,Whatever, but you were jealous as fuck as I hugged him.." She said smirking.
,,I wasn't jealous!"
,,Really? Say that to your index finger that is tapping this table since then."
Fuck! I didn't realize I was tapping with my index finger on the table like I always do when I am nervous, jealous, anxious or pissed off.
I immediately stopped doing it and Addison started laughing at me.

After we ate the breakfast, Riley and I went back to the apartment and Addison went to her apartment. She told me that the furniture a
is gonna get to my apartment in the afternoon. Until then I decided to read some stuff about raising a baby and searched for a babysitter for Riley when I was gonna be at work next week.
Riley immediately fell asleep as I put her in my bed. I found a few babysitters for her and I decided to contact all of them and see if they are interested.
,,Hello? Here is Camila Cabello I saw your announcement on the internet about babysitting." I said on the phone after the first person I saw picked up.
,,Oh really? That's great!" A young woman said on the phone. ,,I'm Skylar Moon and I'm a college student."
,,Like I said, I'm Camila Cabello and I really need a babysitter for my niece, Riley."
,,I'd be happy to babysit her."
,,Well I'd like to meet you first before I let her with you..."
,,Yes, of course. I have time all day if you wanna meet today."
,,That'd be perfect. If you have time now I'd just send you my address and you could also meet Riley."
,,I'd love that."
After I send Skyler the address, we hung up and I sat on the couch thinking about where I will put all the stuff that was gonna come this afternoon. I had a guest room that will become Riley's room so I hoped everything is gonna have space in my apartment.
I decided to check on Riley and as I entered the bedroom I saw that she was awake so I picked her up and brought her in the living room. I put a children show on the TV and she looked fascinated at it. I let her alone for a moment to go in the guest rooms to make a photo of the bed and put it on sale. If that room was going to be Riley's then she won't need that bed and I have no place to storage it so I decided to sell it.
As I got back in the living room, Riley was still laying on her stomach and looked fascinated at the TV. Suddenly, the door bell rung and I was surprised how fast Skyler got there.
,,Skyler?" I answered the interphone.
,,It's Shawn." I was surprised, but I let him in the building. I opened the door and heard how he was walking up the stairs.
,,Hey." I said as he got on my floor.
,,Hey. Who is Skyler?" He asked and chuckled lightly.
,,I was waiting for a possible future babysitter."
,,Uuuu! Interesting!"
,,Very. Come in!" I said and made space for him to enter.
,,I see Riley is very preoccupied by the TV." He said and smiled at me.
,,Yep. She is fascinated."
,,I see that. Didn't she watch TV by now?"
,,I have no idea, but I read that is good to let them watch TV sometimes. It's good for their creativity or something." I said as we sat down at the table watching Riley. Shawn chuckled again and said:
,,Super auntie is in town!"
His words made me laugh, thinking about last night when I played with Riley and asked her if I'm a super auntie.
,,Maybe." I said and Shawn looked at me with a smile.
,,Trust me, she is."
I shyly smiled as I felt my cheeks glowing red. I tried to hide my face, but the door bell rescued me.
,,Skyler?" I answered on the interphone.
,,It's me."
I let her in the building and then opened the door to my apartment and heard her walking up the stairs. As she saw me waiting, she smiled and said:
,,Hi! I'm Skyler."
Skyler was probably a little bit taller then I was and had brown hair and hazel eyes. She looked nice and trustworthy.
,,I'm Camila. This is Shawn."
,,Hi!" Shawn greeted and I let out a giggle.
,,And this is Riley." I said and pointed at Riley who was looking at the TV. I took the remote and decided to turn off the TV because I didn't want Riley to have seeing problems because of it.
,,OMG! She's so tiny. Your daughter is really beautiful." She said and looked at me and Shawn.
,,Oh she's not...our daughter. Like I said on the phone, she's my niece."
,,Oh- Right. I forgot...she just looks a lot like you." She said looking at me.
,,Told you." Shawn said from the back and I rolled my eyes playfully.
,,Oh- Shawn, I forgot to ask... Why are you here? Is everything alright?" I said turning around to face Shawn as I closed the door behind Skyler.
,,Oh yeah! I was ready with work earlier today so I came here to keep you some company." He said, I smiled at him and then turned my attention back to Skyler.
,,So Skyler... you said you are a college student. What are you studying?"
,,I study dental medicine." Shawn and I looked both at each other and smiled.
,,That's what we studied too." I told her with a smile on my face. ,,And do you like it?"
,,Well it's my first year, but yeah, I like it." She said looking at Riley who was rolling around on the couch.
,,And did you babysit before?"
,,No... It's that a problem? I only took care of my brothers when I was still living with my family."
,,It's not a problem. Don't worry. Anyways, how old are your brothers?"
,,They are both ten. They are twins."
,,Well that means you are a great babysitter if you got along with two boys." I said and Skyler laughed at my words.
,,What should that mean?" Shawn asked.
,,That boys are so much complicated to deal with then girls."
,,Pfeee" Shawn said and Skyler and I laughed again.
Suddenly Railey started to cry and I went over to her and just smelled on her butt to check if she pissed or pooped. I didn't smell so that meant she was hungry. I hurried to the bedroom where I let her bottle the last time. I washed it and as I wanted to search for the milk, Shawn was standing with the milk behind me.
,,Thanks." I said and took the milk from his hand and started preparing it. As I wanted to go to pick up Riley I saw that Riley already had her in her arms.
,,I'll do it." She said and I gave her the bottle. She started feeding her and then I remembered what I read.
I read that I need to give a 3 almost 4 months old baby milk after every four hours, so I put alarms on my phone to remind me to feed Riley.
,,What do you think?" Shawn whispered in my ear from behind and I felt goosebumps at the feeling of his mouth against my ear.
,,I think I can trust her with Rilley... Now I found a babysitter. Can I come to work tomorrow?"
,,Nice try." He said still whispering in my ear and I rolled my eyes playfully, but at the same time I became a weird feeling in my stomach as his mouth touched my ear and I felt his hot air against my skin. I didn't move and neither did he. He rested his head on my shoulder and I started chewing on my bottom lip and tapping with my index finger on the top of my other hand.
Jesus! What was happening to me!?
,,Wow she is a beautiful, but also a glutton baby." Skyler said as Riley drunk all the milk.
,,You sure she's not you baby? You two are too much alike." Shawn said playfully and I slapped his arm lightly. ,,Ow! Hope Riley isn't as aggressive as you are."
,,If you think I'm aggressive, you don't know my sister."
,,I met her once, but she didn't seem aggressive." He said smirking me and I hit his arm again.
,,Ow! What was this one fot?"
,,I don't know." I said and smirked. Then I realized we had audience and I turned my attention back to Skyler who was still holding Riley. ,,I'll take her." I said and took Riley from Skyler. ,,Well...Skyler I'd say you are hired."
,,Really!?" She asked surprised looking at me with wide eyes.
,,Yes."
,,Don't need Riley's parents to see me too?" Skyler asked and my smile disappeared.
,,I'm her only family..." I said not wanting to explain anything. Shawn put his arm around my shoulder to comfort me.
,,I'm sorry...I didn't know."
,,It's okay. I'll see you here Monday at 7:30am."
,,Okay. Thank you so much." Skyler said and after we said our goodbyes she left.
I closed the door after Skyler and then felt that Shawn was hugging me from behind. He put his arms around my waist and I let him.
,,You are a super auntie." He said in my ear and I felt goosebumps because of his touch again.
