Chapter 97

I woke up in a hospital bed, my eyes glowed, I breathed heavily, I made a tiny roar noise. I saw daddy, he sighed and walked to me, hugging me, I squirmed. He let go, looking me up and down,
I said" Scott? Scott! Scott! Scott?!" My claws and fangs came out,
Daddy said" No, no, no, don't do that here, little dude."
" I want Scott! I want my alpha!" Then I gasped for air, I started coughing, I puked into a pan. Daddy rubbed my back, I breathed heavily," I want alpha, I want Scott... I want... I want alpha, Scotty. Scotty." I tried to get up, immense pain hit my stomach, I puked again." Bullet? Mason! Lydia!" I tried to move more, Daddy held me down this time, I let out a tiny roar, I started crying.
" Shh, Riley, shh, they're gonna be okay. They're gonna be okay. They're gonna live." My head flopped onto his arm, as I reached for the door, I breathed heavily.
" I want my alpha. I want Scotty."
" I'll take you to Scott soon, okay? He already left with Malia."
" I want Scotty..." I started getting sleepy, my eyes started to close, I fell asleep.

I was healing... I don't like being alone, daddy went back to the station. I don't want anything happening to him, what if Monroe turns the entire station against him?!

I want Scotty, I don't wanna be here anymore! I want my alpha! I got up, scooting off the bed.
I walked out of the hospital, pulling my hoodie up, I sniffed the air and followed Scott's scent.

I got to his house, I walked in, and saw him,
He said" Riley..." He pulled me to him and hugged me, I wrapped my arms tightly around his neck." You're supposed to be at the hospital, little dude."
I mumbled" Want alpha. Want Scotty." I nuzzled my nose against his neck, he sighed and rubbed my back, I flinched when his hand touched my hurt spot.
" I'm not gonna send you back to the hospital, okay? But you've gotta heal, and you heal best when you're sleeping." I yawned and nuzzled my face more," Just go to sleep, I'll carry you." He pulled me onto his lap, I nuzzled my face against his shoulder and fell asleep.

We got to a pack's home, we needed allies, I squeezed my eyes shut at the feeling.
Malia said" Whoa. What's wrong with this place?"
Scott said" I feel it, too."
" It's the Anuk-ite." Scott grabbed Malia's hand,
" Hey. Hey. We came for the pack. It'll be okay. Come on."
" Yeah." We walked into the building, they looked around, then we saw their bodies. There was a loud clank," What was that?!" We turned around and saw Lydia," What are you doing here? How did you get here?"
Lydia said" He led me. He wanted me to find it."
Scott said" Who led you?"
" Halwyn."

We were walking in the woods, Lydia was leading us,
Malia said" Why would a dead hellhound bring you here? Also, isn't he dead?"
Lydia said" I guess the connection between a banshee and a hellhound..."
" Dead hellhound?"
" Is stronger than I thought. As for the why, I'm hoping if I find the body, I'll figure that part out."
Scott said" You know, there's a pile of dead bodies back there."
" It's a different body."
Malia said" There's not another body out here. I'd smell it."
" I'm a harbinger of death. Trust me." We found another body, it had no skin,
" How is this possible? We saw Parrish kill it."
" This one's different."
Scott said" Yeah. I think Lydia's right. I think this is part of the pack."
Malia said" How do you know?"
" This is their pack symbol."
Lydia said" Its skin is gone."
" Wolves have to burn tattoos into their skin. My tattoo is probably scarred into my muscles, too."
Malia said" Okay, but why are there two of these bodies?"
Lydia said" Because the Anuk-ite has two faces."
Scott said" That's why Halwyn sent you here, Lydia."
" He wanted me to find the Anuk-ite's other face."

I was trying to stay awake, Malia and Scott looked into a freezer, Liam called from the school.
Malia said" It's a bad day for finding bodies."
Liam said" There's gonna be a lot more if we don't find Aaron's other half."
Theo said" Which we know nothing about."
Scott said" We do know one thing. We know it's a werewolf."
Liam said" We need to find this other werewolf right now."
Theo said" Preferably before they merge."
Malia said" What happens if they merge?"
Scott said" I don't know, but I got a feeling that it's not going to be good."
Liam said" Any chance you got to put together that army, Scott?"
Malia said" You're looking at it."
I heard Peter say" Let's hope this thing doesn't feed off desperation because this room reeks of it." We turned to him,
Scott said" What happened?"
" The hunters destroyed my perfect automobile. So, if this thing had anything to do with it, I'd like to see its demise is appropriately painful."
Malia said" I thought you had two cars?"
" There's going to be hell to pay." I laid my head on Scott's shoulder, my eyes closed and I fell asleep.
