77. Not every fight is fought with brawn!

Before daybreak, Wang Ling was already awake and was cultivating. He was not using any kind of external force like spirit plants or pills as that had long been eaten and absorbed by him.

He opened his eyes and saw the lazy Bai Xue had already opened her eyes and was yawning and stretching atop the bed. Wang Ling took out a spirit plant that she asked him to keep and Bai Xue started eating 'breakfast'.

For the past few days, Bai Xue's aura had been gradually changing. She was only a level-1 nascent soul stage spirit beast, but Wang Ling doubted that he will be able to win against her.

There are two kinds of cultivation realms, first was the 'Phases' where foundation phase, saint phase, and celestial phase are all under. The other was 'Boundaries' where Nascent Soul stage and [Dominion Stage] belongs to.

Unlike in 'phases' that have three other phases, and had sub levels of early, middle, late, and pinnacle. Boundary realm only have one stage that have nine sub-levels, namely level-1 to level-9.

Boundary realm was fundamentally different than phases. Phases is centered in the common and mainstream path of cultivation which was training, absorption, and comprehension.

The path of cultivation was laid out and only needed to be followed. That was basically the Phases. Boundary realm on the hand deals in an introspective manner. Boundary realm is the realm that one needs to take their time in looking in one's own path to cultivation.

In a more basic and simplistic terms, Phases were mainstream while Boundaries were exclusive. Everyone are different once they enter nascent soul stage. The strength of the nascent soul that is formed by a cultivator differs from everyone.

No one can have the same nascent soul and those who inherited legacies are no different. People have different forms of understanding and comprehension.

Wang Ling did not know what kind of nascent soul Bai Xue had formed inside her energy palace. When he healed her, she was only at energy palace stage and had yet to reform her nascent soul so he did not manage to take a peek.

However, Wang Ling was well aware that Bai Xue's nascent soul was unique and strong. He reckoned that he wouldn't be her match if they were to fight. But watching the carefree and lazy Bai Xue sometimes make Wang Ling forget that she was a beast that is supposed to be even more terrifying than the four deities.

[I need to catch up real quick.] a scene where in an unlikely event where Wang Ling was being eaten by Bai Xue appeared inside his head. He needed to become stronger fast or else he will be left behind and will become useless and weak.

Shaking his head, Wang Ling got up from the floor and took out a sword. He practiced swinging his sword and started training his Heaven Vanquisher. This went on until sunrise where he found it was time to stop.

"Let's leave." Urging Bai Xue to move, Wang Ling left the inn after paying the corresponding fee. He went out of the inn and headed for the Ancient Creed Mountain. He was a mere pinnacle-energy palace cultivator, no, he was a half-step nascent soul cultivator and his targets were three level-2 to level-3 nascent soul beast.

Wang Ling had prepared everything beforehand. He took everything into consideration and bought the last weapon on his arsenal. Although he already have the sword and the spear, Wang Ling had to buy 'it' to put his mind at ease.

He was a master of the sword and had it as his main weapon. But because different fights calls for different type of approach, Wang Ling had to prepare.

Bai Xue changed into his Phoenix form soon after leaving the city. Of course they made sure that nobody was around when she did.

Wang Ling got on her back and she flew into the air and acted like a true sovereign of the skies. Bai Xue let out a screech and almost every avian type savage and spirit beast alike tremble.
