60. What's inside the Ball of Blood I

The sight was terrifying, but the crimson luster made the scene of the ball of blood cracking oddly beautiful. The ball of blood seemed to be hatching like an egg and the roar that came from inside the ball of blood was the proof that there was sign of life inside the ball of blood.

"We need to leave this place, fast!" Fang Guan sounded really hurried. He had seen Wu Tian turned into an empty husk that is devoid of blood and life. Whatever is inside that ball of blood is something ever more dangerous than the ball of blood itself.

Wang Ling nodded his head to show his approval. In a short span of a few hours, Wang Ling had already become the leader of the team. His calm and collected decision making had saved them just now, it was clear that Wang Ling can see through the situation better than anyone else.

Zi Liang was looking at Wang Ling with bewilderment. He was too strong; too outstanding to be someone commonplace. From what she had seen, Wang Ling has the ability to win against Fang Guan. He was far stronger than any of them that was a part of their team.

Turning around, Wang Ling instructed them to leave. Although he was feeling disappointed that he had to run away leaving him empty handed, Wang Ling was well aware that the situation was weird and dangerous.

The being that was inside that ball of blood was something even he cannot fathom. Risking his life for Phoenix blood that came from the depths of hell was just not worth it.

He followed closely behind them, but just as they were about to reach a hundred meter mark. An unfiltered aura of slaughter.

Instinctively turning his head, Wang Ling saw the two beasts; the Dragon and the Phoenix rose into the air as if they were escaping from something. The Dragon that had no wings rose into the air and wanted to escape.

The Phoenix did the same and escaped towards the clouds before letting out a shrill cry of unwillingness. But a strong suction force came from the ball of blood and the two mighty beasts halted.

Then, they were sucked into the ball of blood. The resonating roars and cries of the Dragon and Phoenix suddenly disappeared and the suppression on Wang Ling's bloodline had disappeared.

But a new danger showed up on Wang Ling's heart.

The Dragon and Phoenix did not simply disappear, it was still there, but they were joined into one. It was all good if that was all, but something different was inside that ball of blood.

This mysterious being was something that is higher than a Dragon or a Phoenix. It was higher than the King of Beasts, it was higher than the Lord of the Skies, it was higher than those two.

Although Wang Ling could still feel the Dragon. It was now being overshadowed by the Phoenix for some odd reason. The roar that had just been released was also something that came from neither a Dragon nor a Phoenix.

Wang Ling smiled and held his heart with his right hand. The beating of his heart was simply too fast. He couldn't comprehend just how excited he was feeling.
