Y/N couldn't believe it. The way that Andy had practically dragged her out of the hospital, away from Jake after he'd just told him the truth, it was so unlike him. Part of Y/N wanted scream at Andy for now listening and not reacting the way they wanted him to react but the other part of her just wanted to tell Andy that it was going to work out in the end. After all, his son had just told him that his wife had tried to kill him for a murder they all thought he was innocent of.

But even though Y/N felt bad for Andy, she couldn't help but feel angry at him. And she knew that she'd have to talk to him, apparently he wouldn't listen to his own son. So she guessed that she, a girl that Jacob had brought home from pre-school one day, was going to have to convince him to put his own wife behind bars. And she knew one thing, even though everything else was uncertain, it would be hard. Y/N just hoped that the universe was on her side that day, which almost never happened so she was doubtful.

Y/N followed Andy back into the house after sitting through a silent drive, neither of them knowing what they were meant to say. Andy though his keys down onto the counter and ran a hand through his unwashed hair as Y/N closed the door behind them. She looked at him, waiting for something to happen. But nothing came, so the floor was hers. "Andy, you didn't say anything back there. Jake.. he was so nervous to tell you because he thought you'd react badly and then-" She paused and sighed softly, annoyed that she had to spell it out to a grown man.

Andy turned around and looked at her, his eyes filled with thought as though he was talking without moving his lips. And then he walked to the kitchen counter and leaned against it, as if he was tired out from the two things he'd done that day. "What do you want me to say?" He sighed and looked down at the floor, needing prompting or maybe an elaboration on what they wanted to exactly hear. "She's my wife, that story.. it's.. it's crazy. You get that right? You get how crazy that sounds, for me, right?"

Y/N looked away for a moment, knowing she had to choose her words carefully if she was going to convince Andy to do what her and Jacob wanted. "I know, I get that. I do, I promise. But.. but it makes sense, doesn't it? Laurie-"

"Makes sense?" Andy cut her off, almost laughing. He looked over at her, a look of cold amusement on his face. "What part of a mother trying to kill her own son makes sense?" He asked and kept his gaze on her, burning the sentence and question into her before looking away again.

"It doesn't make sense in that way but.. Laurie, she's been acting so weird lately and.. and that wallet was still in the drawer. And Jake and I heard Laurie storm out of the apartment in Mexico, what was that all about?" Y/N asked him, trying to get all of her points and evidence across to him. She needed the information to sink into him.

Andy shook his head absent-mindedly and headed over to the fridge, pulling out a beer. Y/N sighed, he'd been drinking a lot over the past few days, which made her feel like she had to sort things out even more. He couldn't go on like this. "Nothing.. that stuff.. Laurie she might have-"

And that was when Y/N lost it. She was tired. Tired of fighting for a family that wasn't even her's, tired of trying to get Andy to see what was plain to her. "Andy!" She shouted, causing him to jump a little and look at her. "For god's sake! I know she's your wife! But Jacob's your son! Stop thinking about Laurie and about how close you are to her! Hell, you're a lawyer aren't you? Look at the evidence!"

Andy looked away from her and put the beer down on the counter. Y/N had a feeling she might be getting through to him, so she kept pushing. Even though shouting at Andy wasn't something she enjoyed, she had to do it for Jacob. "You've got Laurie, the defendant. She claimed she was taking Jacob for a haircut but she didn't take any money." She paused, thinking through her sentences carefully and calmly, laying down the facts. "You've got Jacob, a live witness, who said that she'd tried to kill him after she'd shouted about him killing Ben. You know she's been acting distant recently."

Y/N started to test up, wanting all of it to he over already. Andy turned around to face her and Y/N froze.

His eyes were red, tears were dripping down his face and his lips were turned out in a silent whimper. Y/N hardly ever saw Andy cry, so she knew how badly he must have been hurting. He sniffled and dried his eyes the best he could, his voice quiet, "I just want our family back.. Jacob, Laurie, me.. you." He sighed shakily and Y/N couldn't help but step forward and wrap her arms around him.

"I know.. but sometimes, it's just not that easy.."

"I know that, kiddo, I know.. but you've got to look out for the people you love.. no matter what they've done." He told her as he wrapped her in a bear hug. They stayed there, like that for a good few minutes, letting eachother think things over in the comfort of eachothers closeness. When slowly, Andy pulled away from the hug and Y/N looked up at him. He sighed and walked away from her.

"What are you doing?" She asked softly, watching Andy place his shaking hand on the phone hanging on the kitchen wall. He paused, taking a deep breath, before picking up the phone and placing it to his ear.

"I'm calling Neil..."

Sorry I took so long to update! I've been trying to plan out that Jacob Thrombey story I've been working on but I'm not too sure it's any good. I'm aiming to get a few chapters done by the time I finish this book so you guys can jump straight onto reading that :))

Also, I'd just like to call out the people who are telling Jaeden to eat and calling him too skinny and saying he looks anorexic. It's not cool, don't do that. He's confident with his body so leave him alone😌🖐️

Anyways, don't forget to vote! Love you guys <3
