Mitch's P.O.V

Scottie and I were working on a planet project for science.

"Ok we just need to make Earth and Saturn." Scott said getting 2 styrofoam balls.

"Ok I'll get the markers!" I said getting up to get the markers for the "planets".

Then all of sudden the intercom went on.

"There is a intruder on the 6th grade floor. 6th grade classes, barricade your door. 7th and 8th, evacuate immediately."

All of the students froze.

The boys got up and pulled the desks to the door. Girls hid in the big cabinets in the lab stations. I was helping put the desks on the door when I realized something.

Scott.

I turned around and he was having a full on panic attack.

I ran right toward him and pulled him into a cabinet and I shut the door.

I was with him, obviously, and I tried to calm him down.

"Scottie it's ok, we're going to be okay I promise, shh, shh." I said rubbing his back.

"I'm s-s-scared M-m-m-Mitch." He said shakily.

He was breathing so heavily, I was worried out of my mind.

There only one thing left I do.

This move would either make or break our friendship.

I kissed him.

I FREAKING KISSED HIM.

I pulled away and he looked up at me very confused.

"Don't ask, just go with it." I said to him.

"Okay..." He said chuckling. I laughed with him.

He laid his very worried head on my very happy/worried shoulder.

We stayed in there for 6 hours until we could get out.

"Thanks Mittens." Scott said hugging me once we got out.

"Any time Skittles, any time." I said to him squeezing his hand.

Guess lockdowns aren't that bad as I thought!
