Mahal kong kaibigan,

Yes, I was afraid of writing this story, Unity Series scares me, but I'm also excited. I reached the ending of this book and I no longer fear the invisible enemy that's been stalking me while writing this story.

I will write anything that speaks from the heart that is worthy of your eyes to see and your heart can carry. I write for the sake of living and this is my way of breathing.

I'm no longer afraid of my own words and voice. I will embrace it wholeheartedly like how Malaya embraced her own voice.

Let my stories be your breeze to make you fly.

Brace yourself. This is just the beginning. Unity Series are still waiting and my fingers are aching to write for more.

I am a writer with a silent voice but my words are loud when I write.

I know it has tons of flaws and errors. It's full of imperfections. But what matters is I wrote these stories that can be remembered not by its flaws but how it made you feel.

Most of the chapters here did happen in real life. Kidapawan farmers massacre, Hacienda luisita massacre, marawi battle siege, tribe killings, tribe lands and forests stolen by greed, victims of police/soldier brutality, bangsamoro girls suffering from child marriage, starving and dying children, discrimination and killings among LGBT community, executions among the innocent, at marami pang iba. Sila ang naging inspirasyon ng librong ito.

And I'll show you more. I'm not done voicing out my words. I will never be done with it. I will carve my stories like constellations in the cosmos.

Let the voice of this book be your heartbeat.

Remember me and my words, this is MageAestheria, and I still have a lot of stories to show in your lucid eyes.

Lilipad kasama kayo,
MageAestheria

Wakas

Ashes rain from the sky. Lands have been destroyed.

A government had been shut down by the rebels called the Ibong Maya.

A president overthrown by my own hands and voice.

A revolution has ended. A new sunrise will come.

Then there's this pain... an unbearable one that still aches.

A husband that will never return to his wife.

Eufemio Iñigo Bonifacio, the man who led the revolution. I, Malaya Emerita Solidad, the woman who unleashed her powerful voice and the country followed behind me as an army of one.
