CHAPTER 18: Misty

"Thank you, I'll be there in three hours." Logan said, before ending the call.

"Three hours...." I mutter, staring at the time on my phone. 10:30 A.M.

"You want him to be here earlier, don't you?" Taylor asked, interrupting my thoughts.

"Is it wrong that I do...?" I look at her, regretful.

"Yes, because then you'll lose the bet."

I step outside her mansion when I hear the sound of a car beep. First, I turn to face Taylor. "I owe you." I whisper to her, as I give her a warm hug.

"What are best-friends for."? She countered, smiling from ear to ear.

Once I bid her good-bye, I run toward Logan's car. When we were on the road. I look at him for a moment, staring at his perfect jawline. Though I stop when I remembered Taylor's words. 'No Tia, stop it.' Instead, I decided to speak up because the silence between us was eating me.

"Hi." I offer him a small smile.

"Hello." His hand grips the black stirring wheel, whereas as the other was on the gear stick.

"Um.... I thought the driver must have two hands on the stirring wheel not one." I state, smirking.

"It is recommended but I don't care." He shrugs, amusement in his voice. Once more, the car was silent until we arrive at Logan's house.

"Mum and Dad are shopping at Woolworths and the girls are with them."

Is it me, or do Logan and I keep being left alone in the house?

'Stop complaining. You love it' Stupid, asshole inside voice.

"I miss the girls!" I smile when entering the house, "and I did miss your mother and father."

He closes the front door behind him when he entered the house.

"Ouch. I'm hurt." He places his hand on his heart, feigning pain.

"Good. You deserve it." I blab, a tinge of rudeness in my voice. I hadn't forgotten, nor had I forgiven him because I was waiting for him to apologise.

"I do. Tia, it was wrong to involve your mother and father." The look of guilt was written on his face. "I'm sorry."

I look at him with shock. Logan, did he apologise? "Say it once more." I smirk, repeating his words from that eventful night.

"Tia." Logan took a step forward, thus closing the distance. Out of nervousness, I nibble on my lip but didn't fight as Logan's arm wraps around my waist. Without hesitation, Logan began assaulting my neck, placing light kisses, before nipping at my skin. I moan at his soft touch. "Because I was an asshole, I bought a present. It's in your room." He grunted, his hot breath fanning over my skin.

"A-A present?" I shutter, excitement building within.

He stopped, taking a step back. "Yes, it's upstairs."

I didn't wait another second. 'I wonder what it is!' When I reach the top, I run in the direction of my room. As fast as possible, I open the door. "Oh. My. Goodness." I gasp.

There, sleeping in the middle of the bed was a cute little grey kitten.

I approach the bed, being quiet because I didn't want to frighten the little kitten. "Hello there." I coo, sitting on the bed. The little kitten flickers its eyes open, and stares at me before meowing.

"She's adorable, isn't she?" I look up and saw Logan leaning against the wall.

"She is the sweetest, and thank you Logan. This is the greatest present ever." I slide my hand underneath her chest, behind its front legs and start lifting her up in a gentle manner. I brought her to my face, placing a small kiss on its forehead, much to her displeasure.

"What's her name?" Logan asked, proceeding closer. He sat behind me, his chest against my back.

I pondered for a minute. "Misty."
