Julie's POV

"Are you alright to sleep in here?" Mam asked, she was fussing around me - fluffing my pillows, tucking me in further

"Would you stay with me until I fall asleep?" I asked, I felt like a child - a scared pathetic child; but I needed her. She wordlessly got into bed with me, spooning me from behind - I have never felt Mam's arms grasp me so tightly; it's almost as if I would slip from her arms

"Can I tell you something?" She whispered, her voice was gentle and caring - it was making my insides melt

"Course" I whispered, playing her fingers - I couldn't see her face; but I could only imagine how deep in thought she was

"Your Mum and I once got into a huge fight, it was so big that we left each other" She said, I didn't want to interrupt her - she seemed to need to get this off her chest

"I went crazy once she walked out of the door, it was over something so stupid.. Ashley had gone around talking about us still being with him. Kimba was really jealous back then, if anyone would simply look at us, it would set her off" I smiled, I couldn't picture Mum having a go with Mam over an allegation

"I remember sitting in me room, it was pitch dark. I would look at the moon and call out her name" She pulled me in closer to her

"Some would have thought that was crazy, but all I could do was call her name. I couldn't say anything else but her name" She understood me, she understood why I was clingy - why I had done all of that

"We all have a little crazy in us Bubba.. You've never felt a love so strong.. I would go crazy too" She kissed the side of my face, I could slowly feel myself falling asleep with Mam's words echoing in my ear. 'You've never felt a love so strong' and it was true, the love my parents were giving me was never something I had ever dreamt of.

Cheryl's POV

Her breathing had evened out, she always slept so peacefully. Once I knew she had fully fell asleep, I removed meself from behind her - placing one last kiss against her cheek and crept out.

I walked into our bedroom to find Kimba asleep, she stirred and woke up the second I cuddled up into her

"I was trying to stay awake" She whispered, sleep laced in her voice

"Are you still sleepy?" I asked stupidly, of course she was tired - but I really wanted to talk

"Mmm" She hummed, I shuffled up onto her pillow - facing her. She was so beautiful, ever since her pregnancy she'd gained weight in her face; her lips were more swollen, her cheeks, even her nose had gotten a little more meat. She hated it - but I loved it

"Staring is rude" She said, her eyes still closed - I smiled and leaned in placing a chaste kiss against her puffy lips

"Did I ever tell you how much I love you?" I whispered against her ear, she chuckled sleepily - her smile growing

"Mhmm.. Baby I'm really tired" She whispered

"Okay.. Can I just hold you then?" I asked, she slid closer to me - resting her head against my chest; arms and legs tangled up with me own

"Good night" I whispered, giving her a kiss against her head; she didn't get a chance to reply - she fell asleep in me arms. I loved when I held her like this - I loved everything about her. I couldn't sleep tonight, and I kept remembering all the bad times we had at the start of our relationship. I remembered when Kimba's family didn't except us - they practically threw us out of their house
