Julie's POV

"Now why did I get you a phone if you're not going to answer any of me calls? I was this close to calling the bizzies" Cheryl said as I walked through the front room

"I'm sorry I didn't know" I said

"And why is that boy riding a sports bike!? what are his parents like for allowing him to own one" Kimberley added getting a nod from Cheryl agreeing with her

"Did I die!?" I snapped

"No but you could have!" Cheryl says back

"Could have's don't count" I said storming up to my room and slamming the door shut behind me. I don't know who they think they are but they are not my parents! telling me off like I was doing drugs or something stupid! I have been nothing but obedient from the minute I stepped into this house! that's it! I walk out of my room and stand at the top of the staircase wanting to say my part. They were about to walk into the kitchen and trend around facing me as my voice blared out

"I have been nothing but obedient since you brought me into this house! don't make me seem like the bad guy! I missed your calls. Yes. But I didn't do it on purpose! don't go making assumptions as if I was having sex with him on his motorbike!" I said and huffed going back into my room leaving a dumbstruck Kimberley and Cheryl

Cheryl's POV

"I don't know why she's blowing up on us! we were just worried" I sighed running me fingers through me hair

"Give her a minute to calm down" Kim said. The house phone began to ring

"I'll get it" I said walking over and grabbing the phone and answering it

"Hello?" I said down the phone

"Yes, is this Ms. Cole?" came the replying

"Yes who am I speaking to?" I replied

"This is Mrs. Peterson, Julie's math teacher" she said

"Oh what's she done?" I said earning a laugh

"She's done nothing wrong Ms. Cole, I just called to let you know that Julie is doing exceptionally amazing in her math studies. She received the highest grade on her math exam A+ to be exact and no one in all the school years has ever received that grade on this exam. The rest of the class failed. I offered her a position in the math league but she turned it down, so I thought I'd call her guardians to knock some sense into her" she said taking us by surprise

"Highest grade in class" I said wide eyes looking at a confused Kimba

"Yes, I was amazed not one red mark on her exam" she said

"And she turned down your offer?" I asked

"Yes she laughed in my face and said no thank you" I said and I nodded me head agreeing it sounds like something she'd do

"Well I guess we'll try and talk to her but can't promise you anything"

"Okay thank you Ms. Cole, I hope to be hearing from Julie soon"

"No thank you! have a good day" and with that I hung up

"What was that about?" Kim asked

"Our Julie got an A+ on her Math exam, no one in all the years received that grade on this exam. Everyone failed it. Ms. Peterson offered her a position on the math league but Julie turned it down so she called us to knock some sense into her" I explained to Kim

"Well we can't force her but she we can try" she said and I nodded in agreement

"Should we check on her?" I said
