Julie's POV

"Good on you girls!" Mum said handing both Angela and Vallery individual white envelopes filled with money

"Wait you guys can't leave now!" I said tugging on their arms

"Sweetheart they have to get back to work" Mum said with a confused look

"Well they're not done here!" I said not letting both their hands go

"You guys cleaned the whole house, what's left then?" Mam asked

"T-They still have to um.. have too, to clean stuff" I said lying terribly

"Julie.." Mam said raising her perfectly groomed eyebrow

"Mammy please! They have to stay" I begged pouting

"I take it you guys got on?" Mum laughed lightly looking at me

"Put that face away" she joked pulling on my pout playfully

"Mum" I gasped covering my mouth

"You girls will need to come back in the next ten years because that's when Jules will be ungrounded" Mum said seriously making me gulp loudly

"She's just joking" I laughed nervously

"You're joking right?" I asked suddenly not being able to breathe

"Mum it's not funny!" I swatted her hand as she laughed along with Mam

"You guys can stay for a bit, don't think this is an incentive!" Mum said waving her finger back and forth as she spoke

"Thankkkk youuuu!" I cheered dragging Vallery and Angela along with me and up to my bedroom to get changed into some swimwear

Julie's POV

"Go on! Jump in!" I shouted to Vallery as she stood nervously looking at the deep end

"I can't see! It's too dark" she shook her head taking a step back. I tutted climbing out of the water and over to the pool lights switching them all on along with all the garden lights to keep her satisfied

"Happy?" I yelled across the garden

"Happy!" she cheered jumping into the pool making me laugh to myself before heading inside for some food. I was really enjoying my time with these girls, it was finally a good change to have some new friends. Friends who I would find myself calling family one day

"Oh for fcks sake man! You guys are so embarrassing!!!!" I screeched running out of the kitchen seeing my parents having sex on the kitchen counter

"Julie!" Mum shouted after me making me stop in my tracks

"Come back here!" she said, I cringed going back in with my eyes covered

"I swear you guys have a private bedroom upstairs" I whined slowly bringing my hands down seeing Mum stood fixing Mam's vest top who was still siting on the kitchen counter

"What is it that you needed?" Mam asked flushed in the face

"I wanted some food" I asked shyly crossing my arms and looking at my feet

"What you going shy for? there's food in the fridge" Mum said looking at me closely, I went over to the fridge not meeting their eyes as I pulled out a basket throwing snacks and drinks into it

"Hey guys?" I said turning around making them break eye contact from each other

"What's up bubba?" Mam asked opening her arms for me to stand in between her legs

"I-I was wondering.." I trailed off not knowing how to ask

"Hey? what's up?" she asked tilting my head up to look at her

"I want to work with Simon" I said pulling away from Mam as she furrowed her eyebrows angrily at me

"Julie go back out yeah?" Mum said seeing Mam was close to popping, I quickly grabbed the basket of goodies and ran out to the back garden

Kim's POV

"Don't start" Cheryl said hopping off the kitchen counter

"Don't start what?" I asked getting a little annoyed with her

"She's not working with him!" she snapped

"Why are you yelling! Don't go taking your anger out on me!" I snapped right back

"She's still fcking talking to him about this stupid little working idea! She's sixteen Kimba! She should be enjoying her childhood not drowning herself in work" she said tearfully

"Does this have something to do with you?" I asked a little more gently this time, she didn't answer she began to cry hysterically into her hands

"Come here" I said going over to her pulling her into a warm embrace allowing her to break down in my arms

"Hey, you're okay! Come on" I soothed her rubbing her back trying to calm her down kissing her head and cheeks making sure she knew I was here for her

"I-I want her t-to live her c-childhood as l-long as she c-can" she sobbed

"Chezza I need you to calm down baby" I said getting a little scared, she was barely catching her breath

"Chezza!" I said tearfully as she began to gasp for air! I quickly picked her up in my arms taking her up to our bedroom laying her down on the bed and hurriedly going over and grabbing her inhaler shakily bringing it to her mouth releasing the medicine into her lungs allowing her to take deep breaths

"Do you think I'm fcking with you when I tell you to quit that stupid drug!!" I snapped going to the dresser pulling out her cigarette pack and tearing it apart flushing the tobacco down the toilet crying to myself; my hands were shaking afraid from the sudden panic attack she just had

"If you don't quit I'm leaving you Cheryl!" I said seriously making her look at me horrified at my words

"K-Kimba don't start" she said weakly turning over making me face her back

"Get up" I said pulling her into my arms allowing her to wrap her arms around my neck and rest her head against my chest walking us both over to the bay window

"Do you see that?" I asked her, making her take a look out the window seeing Julie laughing and giggling enjoying her time doing nothing but swimming with her new friends

"That girl will make the best out of anything, she will forever be laughing and smiling. It's not because of work, it's because her soul is full of light and happiness. If she wants to make something out of herself then so be it, let her! Let her be successful in life, she deserves every ounce of happiness and success. Don't take it away from her Chez, if in the end it isn't what she wanted then she'll have to put up with the consequences" I said kissing her forehead as she continued to look at her with a weak smile

"Okay?" I said making her look at me

"Okay" she said giving me a few kisses before returning her gaze back out the window
