Julie's POV

"I'm home!" I called out throwing my travel bag next to the front door.

"Hello?" I said once again - popping my head through the kitchen, only to find it empty

"Mam! Mum!?" Sudden worry rushed through my system as I darted straight for the front room, finding both my parents with evident tear tracks on their flushed cheeks

"Hey..." I said taking a long look at them, both seem to not have slept a wink with the bags under their eyes

"Hey sweetheart, did you have fun?" Mum asked weakly, her voice shaking as she spoke

"Are you guys okay?" I asked, feeling the need to take them both into my arms; I stood there awkwardly in front of them. Watching as they fought the tears from rushing out

"Y-Yeah everything is fine" Mam said letting the tear slip out of her eyes quickly brushing it away as if I wouldn't notice it.

"Mam.." I whispered gently kneeling down in front of them

"What's going on?" The worst comes to mind as they sit there silently, not letting me in on the whirlwind that's happening

"Did something happen to Sophie?" I asked feeling the need to cry along with them

"No Bubba" Mam sniffed giving me a weak teary eyed smile

"What the fck is going on!" I snapped, this silent game wasn't doing my head any good

"Tell me!!!-" I shouted, the door bell went making both my parents tense up

"Whose at the door?!" I asked

"The lawyers" Mam whispered

"Why are there lawyers at th- you know what, I'll just ask them myself" I stormed out of the front room, both my parents running after me in hopes to get me to stop what ever it was they thought I was planning to do.

"Hello, what are you doing here? And don't give me the same sh*t my parents have been giving me for the last 20 minutes! Explain!" I shouted at three men in black suits, they seemed to be taken back by the greeting they weren't expecting

"Let's go inside and have a chat" One spoke up, I moved to the side leading us all into they front room

"Explain" I demanded crossing my arms across my chest as they took a seat on the sofa

"Your father is fighting for custody" He said, I used to laugh at people who would say 'It's like your world had stopped and your heart had stopped along with it' I could feel the blood draining from my body as I stood there shocked at the sudden news that had been announced. I didn't believe it - I couldn't believe it. I needed to wake up from this nightmare.

"Mam?" I whispered close to tears, I needed her to tell me this was all a joke

"Please tell me this is a joke?" My voice was cracking she knew I was close to tears, she quickly got up and pulled me into her; thats all it took for me to breakdown in her arms - sobbing away.

"He's getting no where near you!" She said trying to reassure me, but I could hear the doubt in her voice, the uncertainty. I knew that there was a slight chance he could win this, and take me away from my parents.

"Promise me you'll try, promise me you won't let him win this" I hiccuped crying through my words

"Baby, I will do everything I can! I cant promise this will come out like we want it, but I will promise to fight until the very end" I took her word for it, because I trusted my Mam would do anything she could to win this trial that our family would be going through. I sat between Mam and Mum both holding me in their arms, afraid to let me go - the lawyers spoke to us of what was to come, how they were so sure they could win this, no doubt about it. Even their confidence wasn't fooling me, I doubted every word they were saying.. Because deep down I knew Jason would win this.
