It seems like we've been travelling for hours. We were still on the bus, still as confused as before. They wouldn't let us stand up and talk to other Gladers, only the ones sitting next to us. I didn't mind, but I wanted to check on Thomas and the others. God knows I was worried, and I wanted more answers to why we're here. I sat next to Newt, my head still pounding from the wound on my head. And my left ear was still silent, luckily Newt was sitting on the right side of me.

"Mickey...", Newt called and I turned my head. He looked tired and concerned. "You should sleep".

"Sleep? I don't need sleep right now Newt", I said while cocking up my eyebrow.

"Yes you should. Don't worry, I'll wake you when we reach.... where ever we're bloody going", Newt said while putting his hands on my shoulders, and pulling me down in a laying position. My head was against his lap, while my legs stretched out across the seat.

"You worry too much for me Newt....", I stated while looking up at his cut face. He cracked a smile and started to stroke my hair.

"I know, it's because I care", he said while curling a strand of my hair around his fingers.

I tilted my head up and looked out the cracked window. It was dark now, but still had a sense of humidity to it. I turned my head back and turned on to my side, facing Newt's torso. With the stroking of my hair and a sense of safety, I fell asleep from exhaustion.

I was woken up by the bus coming to an urgent stop. I snapped my eyes open and saw that it was still dark outside. My head was pounding even more now and my deaf ear was making a high pitch ringing sound. I looked up and saw that Newt looked like he just woke up as well, and had a hand to his head. I sat up from Newt's lap and saw that the people in the army suits were starting to usher us Gladers out the bus.

"Come on you two, up and out the bus", the one guy opposite us said.

Newt and I stood up and walked down the isle of the bus. I went down the few steps and stopped outside the bus. I saw Minho looking sour with his arms crossed and a scowl on his face. Thomas looked confused and snapped his head around frequently. The Gladers made sure to stay together so we didn't loose anyone unexpectedly. Newt and I laced hands together once again, and stuck to each others side desperately. The people ushered us inside a door that was leading to something underground.

"Thomas.... what the shuck is going on?", Frypan whispered to Thomas while we followed these people.

"I don't know. I don't remember any of this", he said while sweating slightly.

The people lead us through the door and down a large hallway. We then came to a huge room, with a long table in the middle of it. My eyes widened when I saw about 20 boxes of what looked like pizza boxes. They were stacked on top of each other, and made my stomach growl to think of the delicious food. I just realised I hadn't eaten anything since we were in the Glade. I don't even know how long it's been since then. It feels like weeks, even though it's probably only been a day or so.

"Eat as much as you want", one of the army guys said, before walking out the room with the other army people. We were left in this room.

"I'm so confused....", Winston said while looking at the pizza boxes.

"We all are. Let's just eat, I'm shuckin' hungry right now", Minho said while walking over to the table and taking a seat. The Gladers followed and all took a seat. I sat in between Newt and Thomas, as they opened up the boxes. True enough, pizza was in there. All different kinds. We all immediately started eating and ate till we were full.

After the pizzas were all gone, we all sat in small chatter in the same room with the same atmosphere. Everyone was really confused, why were we here? If we're supposed to save humanity from this Flare disease, why were we being put in a freaking Maze? What does this all really mean?

"Mickey, is your ear still deaf?", Newt asked me. I nodded and sighed.

"I can't hear anything out of it. It's probably buggered forever...", I said glumly as I put my face down on the wooden table.

"Hey, look at me", Newt said softly while squeezing my hand, which was still in-twined with his. I pulled my head up and looked at him questionably. "We will get it fixed okay? I'll pay for surgery to get it fixed".

I couldn't help but laugh at Newt's idea. He was so sweet to think like that, considering we just came out of a blood bath battle. I smiled at him and chuckled.

"Your so sweet Newt", I said while leaning towards him, and kissing him lightly on the cheek. He smiled and blushed slightly from my words. Minho who sat opposite us made gagging noises and rolled his eyes at us in disgust.

"Don't be such a hypocrite Minho. I've seen you with Thomas when you think no ones looking", I said while pointing at him accusingly. He was shocked from the statement and blushed heavily.

"I'm not gay Mickey!", he yelled at me. Newt and I couldn't help but laugh at the blushing Runner.

Newt and I then turned towards each other, smiling a little. Yes it has been a eventful and terrible past few days, but it was actually nice to know that I did have someone who did care for me and loved me. Newt was my everything now, I don't know what I'd do without him. I leaned in towards him again and kissed him on the lips. It's been so long since I kissed him like this, and it felt so good to do it. Newt kissed make while slithering his arms around my waist, showing his desperateness without shame. Newt's tongue smoothly slipped through my lips and made the kiss even more passionate.

It was then that I realised that I loved Newt so much.
